Chapter 46 - Chapter 46 Inviting Hephaestus

Nyx left, silently departing from this place.

After Nyx left, Zeus looked at Mobius with some hesitation and said, "Mobius, are you sure you want to accept these two deities?"

Mobius knew what Zeus was asking, but he nodded and said, "I'm sure. I feel this matter is very strange, but it will bring me great benefits, so naturally, I want to improve myself. And isn't that what the powers of war and Peace are about? War and Peace…"

"And I can't refuse, can I?" Mobius said.

Zeus sighed. There was really nothing that could be done about this matter, after all, when Your Highness Nyx personally came to request it, how could you refuse!

Mobius was a little at a loss for words as he spoke. Then, Prometheus, seemingly unable to discern the situation, smiled and said, "Then congratulations, Lord Mobius, this is a test from Your Highness Nyx."

"A test from Your Highness Nyx? Perhaps." Mobius looked at Prometheus's face, and a somewhat inexplicable laugh emerged.

Zeus looked at Mobius with complex eyes and said, "Mobius, what do you think about this matter?"

"What should I think? My dear Your Highness Zeus." Mobius uttered a few words and asked.

Mobius's words made Zeus somewhat silent; he didn't know what to do either. But he thought of…

Mobius smiled at the corner of his mouth and softly said, "That's simple. Since Your Highness Nyx said to make me the chief god of her children, then I will accept it with peace of mind. According to my thoughts, Your Highness Nyx probably wants Sleep God Hypnos and Thanatos to leave the Underworld."

"Then this matter is very simple, isn't it? What's there to hesitate about such a thing?"

Hearing Mobius's words, Zeus felt it made sense; since it was already like this, they might as well enjoy it.

"Mmm-hmm." Prometheus said with a smile, "Thank you, Lord Mobius, for allowing me to gain a new power of destiny. This power is very important to me; it can bring me new opportunities and new abilities."

"New abilities?" Mobius asked with some surprise, "Yes?"

Prometheus replied, "Yes, new abilities. My prophecy comes from a part of the power of my father, Iapetos, the God of Souls, and when I was born, it formed a contrasting power with my own. And this matter with Your Highness Nyx has also given me a possibility for progress."

Then, a cold glint flashed in Zeus's eyes, and he softly asked, "Prometheus, are you going to forge your own divine artifact?"

It was clear that Zeus was somewhat wary of the power Prometheus would gain later. The power of prophecy had already made Prometheus powerful, and if he gained another divine position, would Prometheus still be able to be "voluntarily" controlled by him?

Prometheus was very excited and did not notice the cold glint in Zeus's eyes. He quickly said, "Yes, my dear Your Highness Zeus, I am going to forge my divine artifact."

Zeus paused for a moment, looked at Mobius next to him, and said, "Then please take Prometheus to Hephaestus to forge the divine artifact."

"Hephaestus?" Mobius repeated.

Zeus said, "Yes, Hephaestus is my child and your elder brother, the first child born of Hera and I in blood and fire, and Ares's older brother."

Hearing Zeus say this, Prometheus fell silent. He had originally wanted to ask Zeus to have his Cyclops help forge the divine artifact, but why did Zeus want him to find Hephaestus to forge the divine artifact? This made him somewhat surprised and uncertain. And it was Mobius who was taking him there.

However, Prometheus still nodded and said, "Okay, I will obey your command. I will go to Hephaestus's territory to forge my divine artifact."

Hearing Prometheus's sensible words, Zeus smiled and nodded, very satisfied with Prometheus's attitude.

Meanwhile, Mobius next to him had a melancholic expression, thinking: "Hephaestus, why must I go find him? Does Zeus have some idea?" A trace of worry flashed across Mobius's face at this thought.

Zeus looked at Mobius and said, "Just tell Hephaestus that Zeus, his dear father, misses him very much."

Hearing Zeus say this, Mobius looked at Zeus somewhat strangely, but still nodded and said, "Okay, my dear Your Highness Zeus, I will convey your words to Hephaestus."

After speaking, Prometheus and Mobius took their leave and then headed to the surface.

On the way to the surface, Prometheus hesitated for a moment and asked, "Lord Mobius, do you know why Your Highness Zeus wants me to go to Hephaestus to forge the divine artifact?"

Mobius hesitated for a moment, shook his head, and said, "I don't know either. I don't know much about Hephaestus. Could Lord Prometheus please explain it to me?"

Mobius's understanding of Hephaestus might not be as extensive as Prometheus's current knowledge; he only knew a general outline.

Prometheus nodded and said, "Okay, my dear Lord Mobius." Excitement flashed across Prometheus's face; he was very willing to answer Mobius's questions, after all, such a future potential stock could contend for the future chief god position for him.

Then, Prometheus explained, "The so-called God Queen Hera, whom you are familiar with, her first child was Hephaestus. I believe you just heard Your Highness Zeus mention it. This Hephaestus was extremely ugly at birth and was scorned by Zeus, so he was thrown off the cliff of Olympus."

"Did Zeus dislike Hephaestus?" Mobius thought to himself.

Prometheus continued to explain, "Then he was thrown off the cliff by Hera, and was, no, not exactly harmed, but rather his body was affected by the power of water by Mother of Water Tethys."

"It caused his back to always be hunched, and his legs to always be bent. The intertwining divine powers of water and fire prevented him from recovering, and even life-aligned deities couldn't heal the scars on his legs."

"So Zeus wants me to go and heal Hephaestus's legs and body?" Mobius asked.
