Chapter 16 - Chapter 16: The Three Yellow Rank Dou Techniques

Hun Xiu once again stepped into the Dou Technique Pavilion. This time, he didn't stroll leisurely, but instead made his way directly—and rapidly—to the second floor of the pavilion.

Clearly, Hun Xiu's goal was very specific this time: the second form of the Slaughtering Palm, which was a Profound Rank Dou Technique.

However, just as Hun Xiu turned a corner and was about to reach the second floor, a voice rang out in his mind from the system once more…

Ding…

"A new selection has appeared. Host, would you like to sign in?"

Option One:High Yellow Rank Dou Technique – Calamity Annihilation Fist. This technique consists of four forms, each corresponding to a different rank: Yellow, Profound, Earth, and Heaven. Once mastered, a single punch could obliterate both gods and ghosts.

Option Two:High Yellow Rank Dou Technique – Wind & Thunder God Legs. This leg technique also consists of four forms, each aligned with the four main technique ranks. When cultivated to the peak, each strike carries the terrifying power of storm and thunder—capable of destroying worlds and slaying spirits. Moreover, it's also a top-tier movement technique. Train it to perfection, and you will be as fast as the wind itself.

"Huh?"

Hun Xiu blinked, murmuring inwardly:"The system wants me to choose two more Yellow Rank Dou Techniques?"

He originally planned to check out Profound Rank techniques, but since the system had its reasons, he'd follow its path for now.

"I choose Option One."

As he silently confirmed in his heart, the Calamity Annihilation Fist appeared in the corner of his vision. He confirmed the name, then decided—this was it.

Crack!

Without hesitation, he punched through the Dou Qi barrier and retrieved the scroll for the Calamity Annihilation Fist.

Outside…

"Elder."

The elder looked up. "Hun Xiu, what technique did you choose this time?"

Clack.

Hun Xiu held up the scroll without a word.

"…"

The elder stared at the title: High Yellow Rank Dou Technique – Calamity Annihilation Fist.

"What the…? This silly child…"

He had thought Hun Xiu had finally come to his senses and would pick a better technique this time. But now it seemed like Hun Xiu was marching even further down the road of idiocy.

He had the opportunity to choose Heaven Rank techniques, yet he kept opting for Yellow Rank ones. This was beyond foolish—it was outright blind.

Just imagine…

It's like standing in front of a group of flawless beauties—fair-skinned, long-legged, with perfect figures and every possible archetype you could want. And then… this guy picks the chubby kid sitting on the curb.

Surprised? Shocked? You should be.

Watching Hun Xiu pick yet another Yellow Rank technique, the elder was both astonished and… heartbroken. He had truly believed the boy had woken up, but now it was clear he was simply delusional.

At this point, the elder's gaze toward Hun Xiu was like that of someone looking at a complete idiot.

Hun Xiu, of course, noticed the elder's expression, but he didn't care. He took the Calamity Annihilation Fist and walked away.

The elder could only shake his head, watching the young man's back with regret:"How can someone so monstrously talented have such poor vision?"

"Sigh…"

Then he recorded the selection.

"Hun Xiu, High Yellow Rank Dou Technique – Calamity Annihilation Fist."

With the new technique in hand, Hun Xiu read through the scroll as he walked. Along the way, he passed by many other members of the Hun Clan.

Most of them he didn't recognize, and he had no habit of greeting people.

They all recognized Hun Xiu, of course, but they didn't go out of their way to greet him either. They believed him to be aloof and unapproachable by nature.

Back at the rear mountain…

Hun Xiu first practiced the Calamity Annihilation Fist, then once again went through the Slaughtering Palm. Afterward, he sat cross-legged and began absorbing the surrounding Dou Qi to aid his cultivation.

The Next Day – Midday.

Hun Xiu returned to the Dou Technique Pavilion once more.

The same elder greeted him.

Seeing Hun Xiu again, the elder was curious:"Hun Xiu, what are you doing back again?"

Hun Xiu placed the Calamity Annihilation Fist scroll on the table and calmly said:"Elder, I've come to exchange for a new technique."

"Go on then," the elder replied flatly, after giving him a quick look.

"Thank you."

Hun Xiu stepped back into the pavilion.

Watching his departing figure, the elder muttered:"Maybe this time he's finally wised up?"

Barely a minute passed before Hun Xiu returned, another technique in hand.

"What the—so fast?!"

Elder Hun Shou was stunned. This was absurdly quick—even for someone of Hun Xiu's level.

He had seen all kinds of prodigies in his life, but someone moving this quickly? This was a first.

"Hun Xiu, aren't you being a bit too fast?" he couldn't help but comment.

Hun Xiu rubbed his nose awkwardly:"Too fast? I think it's fine. Young people these days are all pretty fast."

He had barely stepped inside when the system activated again.Without hesitation, Hun Xiu had chosen the Wind & Thunder God Legs.

From entering to exiting with the scroll in hand, the entire process took less than a minute—closer to 30 seconds, actually.

His speed was truly astounding.

"Fine…"

Hun Shou didn't really care about how fast he was anymore. What he did care about was:

"Hun Xiu, what rank is the technique you picked this time?"

Hun Xiu didn't hide it:"It's this. High Yellow Rank Dou Technique – Wind & Thunder God Legs."

Hun Shou: "…"

He was utterly speechless.

Choosing Yellow Rank techniques again and again—was this boy intent on wasting his god-given talent?

By the time he snapped out of his daze, Hun Xiu was already gone, his Yellow Rank technique in hand.

"Hun Xiu, High Yellow Rank Dou Technique – Wind & Thunder God Legs."

Hun Shou recorded it once more, then made up his mind:He needed to talk to the Clan Leader about this—urgently.

Once is a fluke.

Twice, maybe he's just blind.

But three times? Choosing Yellow Rank techniques three times in a row?

This wasn't just foolish—it was sabotage.

And Hun Xiu wasn't just any disciple—he was the Clan Leader's own son.

He had activated a never-before-seen, god-tier bloodline. He was one of the prime candidates to become the next Clan Leader.

If someone like him were wasted because of bad decisions, it would be a tremendous loss to the Hun Clan.

And honestly—who in their right mind would complain about having too many geniuses in their family?

What Hun Xiu didn't know was that his repeated selection of Yellow Rank techniques had already thoroughly "infuriated" Elder Hun Shou, who was now on his way to report him to his father.

At that moment, Hun Xiu was back in the rear mountain, practicing the Wind & Thunder God Legs. After cycling through his leg techniques, fists, and palms, he once again sat cross-legged atop the mountain to absorb Dou Qi from the heavens and earth.
