I watched Lyra's retreating back as she stormed away from me, her head held high, shoulders square. Goddesses, that woman was infuriating. And brave. And beautiful. And completely out of her mind if she thought I was going to let her march into danger alongside my very pregnant sister-in-law.
"You look like you want to howl at the moon or punch something," Jasper observed, coming to stand beside me. "Preferably not me."
I dragged a hand down my face. "She doesn't understand what she's getting into."
"And you don't understand women," Jasper replied with a smirk. "The harder you push against her decision, the more determined she'll be."
"She's human," I growled. "If something happens—"
"She's also a grown woman making her own choices." Jasper clapped me on the shoulder. "Just like your brother's mate. Speaking of problems we can actually solve—we've got a lead on our spy."
That snapped me back to attention. "Darius Vane?"
