The corridor outside was different from Jade's office, warm, sunlit, with distant chatter of students.
Zaeryn leaned against the wall, exhaling a breath he hadn't realized he'd been holding.
"Well, that could've gone worse," he muttered to himself, running a hand through his dark hair. "At least she didn't zap me with Vitae or whatever these professors do for fun."
From the looks of it, and according to the system, he had been wrong about Jade. She was intrigued by him and that was a good thing. There was also a possibility that she might even have been turned on when they were speaking, which when Zaeryn thought about it, made him wonder if he should have not been passive and tried to seduce her.
However, at that moment he was more concerned about not getting in trouble or getting on her bad side.
