Two years later in the Dragon God Realm, the King's City basked in a soft divine glow.
Inside one of the palace's quiet pavilions, Vados, Lazuli, Nerona, and Yamato sat together around a square table, enthusiastically playing mahjong.
Ever since Chiga had taught them how to play, the women discovered a new favorite pastime.
Each day, they gathered for either mahjong or cards, though Vados seemed impossibly lucky at both.
She never used divine power to cheat, yet she still won effortlessly.
Her calm smile made every victory look elegant, which only increased her reputation among the women.
Nerona especially had begun treating Vados like an older sister.
In contrast, Marcarita struggled terribly with the game.
She even tried cheating with a touch of divine power once, but Vados noticed instantly and banned her from playing.
Pouting, Marcarita lay in a nearby rocking chair with a cattail fan, lightly fanning herself while listening to the click of mahjong tiles, itching to join the game.
Kalifa and Robin still oversaw operations around the Dragon God Realm during the day.
Chiga had long since established a stable teleportation gate, allowing anyone in the realm to freely reach any world they desired.
A short while later, Nami entered wearing a white sun hat tied with a pink bow.
Kaguya and Nojiko followed gracefully behind her, each carrying an air of gentle warmth.
Black Zetsu walked quietly at the back, carrying a small basket filled with freshly picked oranges from Rizwell.
Nami hurried to Vados's side and peeked at her tiles.
"Vados-san is going to win again!"
Just as she spoke, Vados gently placed her tiles forward and smiled.
"Mahjong."
Lazuli and the others slumped as though struck by frost.
Vados turned to Nami with a soft smile.
"You're back."
"Mm. Where is Chiga?"
Marcarita opened one eye from her rocking chair and answered lazily,
"He took little Sakuya out to play. Said they were visiting a world called Earth."
…
On Earth, in a bustling commercial street full of bright signs and busy crowds, Chiga walked hand in hand with Sakuya, introducing her to the shops as they explored.
Sakuya wore her hair in two adorable buns today.
She held a colorful manga and pointed at a caricature of her mother inside it, her small eyebrows furrowed.
"Dad, why did they make Mom a villain in this? She's so gentle in real life!"
Chiga crouched down, rubbing Sakuya's soft hair.
"Each world has its own timeline and story. Don't worry too much. Look, I don't even appear in that manga."
"Yeah, that's strange! Someone like Dad should definitely be the protagonist!" she said with puffed cheeks.
Chiga laughed, lifted her into his arms, and stood.
"I think our little Sakuya would make the best protagonist. Come on, Dad will take you to eat at McDonald's."
The moment they stepped inside, the father and daughter drew attention.
Their appearance was striking enough that several customers stopped mid-bite to stare.
At the counter, the cashier appeared momentarily dazed until Sakuya waved a tiny hand in front of her.
Snapping out of it, the worker spoke quickly,
"Welcome! What would you like to order?"
Chiga looked up at the menu and noticed that McDonald's was doing a collaboration with the Naruto series.
Ordering a kids meal came with a random ninja figurine.
The cashier glanced at Sakuya and asked,
"Is she wearing special contact lenses? Her eyes look like the Uchiha's Sharingan. They're beautiful. Which character is she supposed to be?"
Chiga smiled calmly.
"They belong to Uchiha Chiga."
The cashier blinked.
She had never heard of that name in the anime but didn't question it.
Another staff member placed the completed order on the tray.
A blind box rested beside it.
Sakuya opened it eagerly, only for her smile to collapse.
Inside was a poorly made black stick-figure representing Black Zetsu.
"Who is this supposed to be?" she asked, baffled.
The cashier scratched her cheek, embarrassed.
Black Zetsu certainly wasn't popular.
"That's Black Zetsu. he's a very powerful villain."
"That can't be right! Sister Zetsu looks nothing like this. Her body is way prettier!"
Her indignation was so adorable that several customers laughed.
Thinking Sakuya was Chiga's younger sister, the cashier smiled at him.
"She's so cute. Is she your little sister?"
Chiga shook his head.
"She's my daughter."
The cashier froze.
She had been seconds away from asking for his number but now silently mourned her missed chance.
Chiga picked up the tray and brought Sakuya to a window seat.
She immediately began poking the Black Zetsu figure.
Chiga asked,
"Sakuya, didn't you dislike it?"
Sakuya giggled.
"It's okay. I'll modify it. Dad taught me before. This is called Lightning Metallurgy."
A spark of violet lightning flashed from her eye, enveloping the small figure.
The cheap plastic melted instantly into a puddle of black goo with a faint burnt smell.
Then it solidified into a lumpy mass.
"What happened…? Why didn't it work like when you made one?"
Chiga chuckled.
"Because the one Dad made was gold. That one is plastic."
Her face scrunched in distress.
"Then… did I break Sister Black Zetsu?"
Chiga gently shook his head.
"Not at all. In fact, she used to look like that sometimes. If you don't believe me, ask her when we go home."
Sakuya carefully wrapped the lumpy mass and stored it inside her Door-Door space.
After finishing their meal, Chiga took her to watch a large fireworks festival.
Bursts of light illuminated the sky as Sakuya clapped her hands, her eyes reflecting the colors.
"Dad, look! It's so beautiful! Next time, we should bring Mom and all the aunties. They'll definitely love this world!"
Chiga held her small hand, the soft glow of fireworks reflecting in his gentle smile.
"Alright. Dad will always be with you, until the very end."
"Mm!"
…
