Chapter 4 - 4: Dramatic Handseals

"Hello, students. My name is Iruka Umino, and I'll be your homeroom teacher from now on."

As the class bell rang, a young man in a green flak jacket entered the classroom and introduced himself to Izayoi and the others from the podium. Then, smiling, he said, "Before we start class, let's introduce ourselves. We'll begin with the first student in the front row on the left."

"I'm…"

"Hello everyone, I'm Ino Yamanaka. Please take care of me!"

"My name is Shino Aburame."

"Sasuke Uchiha."

"This great me is Naruto Uzumaki! Remember that name—I'm gonna be Hokage someday!"

"…"

Each student introduced themselves in their own way, showcasing their unique personalities.

The most noticeable among them was, of course, Naruto Uzumaki, whom Iruka still disliked at this point.

Since they were all just meeting for the first time, his arrogant self-introduction didn't earn him the usual ridicule from the rest of the class.

When it was Hinata's turn, she spoke softly and stuttered:

"I… I'm Hinata Hyūga. P-please take care of me."

Her shy demeanor stood in stark contrast to the cheerful and outgoing Ino Yamanaka.

Fortunately, this wasn't an ordinary world. Otherwise, a timid and well-off girl like Hinata might have easily become isolated or bullied.

"Hello everyone, I'm Izayoi."

Izayoi stood up and introduced himself plainly.

But his face—just as cute as Sasuke Uchiha's—instantly drew the attention of many of the girls.

Even though he already knew how mature the girls in this world could be, Izayoi still couldn't help but click his tongue inwardly at the heat in their gazes.

Kids live on their own at three, understand love and romance by five or six, go to war before they're even twelve, and become saviors by sixteen or seventeen… This world was truly absurd.

That's exactly why the title of "genius" carried so much weight in the world of Naruto.

After the introductions, they quickly moved on to a part Izayoi was very familiar with—

Distributing textbooks!

But the moment he received them, Izayoi's mouth twitched slightly.

Language and math—totally normal.

But biology, medicine, and… chemistry?

What even is this?

Suddenly, Izayoi understood.

No wonder kids in this world are so emotionally mature so early—this kind of early education was actually pretty standard.

In addition to the books, Iruka also handed out a scroll to every student.

The scroll contained instructions on how to extract chakra.

"Chakra is a special kind of energy formed by combining physical energy from the body's 130 trillion cells with spiritual energy, in a precise ratio. It's the key to becoming a ninja,"

Iruka explained.

"The entrance exam was designed to screen for students whose physical and spiritual energy were both up to standard—those who have a high chance of becoming ninja."

"Knowledge and physical training both help increase those two energies. So, for those of you who still haven't extracted chakra—study hard! Otherwise, once the observation period ends, you'll be advised to leave."

Upon hearing that, several students from ordinary families—who hadn't yet extracted their chakra—suddenly looked very anxious.

They would probably be Iruka Umino's favorite model students for a long time to come.

Izayoi didn't bother correcting their misunderstanding.

They were overthinking it.

Although the school didn't officially separate students into honors and remedial classes, anyone who made it into Class 1 of the first grade—aside from the children of ninja clans—was already considered to have excellent potential.

Just by glancing around the classroom, Izayoi could see that every student had a white-level base talent tag, and quite a few already had green tags indicating Chūnin potential.

That meant that even if they didn't pass the graduation exam, they would still reach the level of Genin eventually.

Those with green tags, as long as they didn't die early, would go on to become Chūnin in the future.

As for the ninja clan kids like Ino Yamanaka, each had blue-level Jōnin potential.

However, it was Sakura Haruno's ninja aptitude that caught Izayoi's attention.

Her ninja potential was only green—Chūnin level.

But strangely, her chakra control talent tag was purple, a level reserved for kekkei genkai (bloodline limits).

With such a high level of chakra control, yet only Chūnin potential as a ninja…

It was just like Hinata, who had red-level potential from her Byakugan princess lineage, but whose overall ninja aptitude was only at Jōnin level.

Without some kind of miraculous breakthrough, Chūnin was Sakura's ceiling.

But if she did defy fate, she could one day become one of the "Legendary Three" of the new generation.

After handing out the textbooks and scrolls, Iruka didn't give the class any time to relax—he immediately started teaching.

Mornings were for academic lessons, and afternoons were for physical training.

Aside from physical fitness, PE also involved practicing with stones, teaching students basic throwing techniques.

There was no substitution jutsu, no body flicker, no invisibility, and certainly no kunai or shuriken yet.

Not even hand-to-hand combat.

Clearly, the first semester of first grade was focused on building a solid foundation of knowledge and physical development.

At first, Izayoi joined the class activities.

But once he saw that there wouldn't be any actual taijutsu (physical combat) training for a while, he stopped sending his real body to the ninja academy.

After all, he had awakened the Ōtsutsuki bloodline at age three, and his current chakra reserves were monstrous.

Forget Naruto—who couldn't even extract chakra yet—even Kakashi, who could use Shadow Clone Jutsu in class by the age of five or six in the original story, couldn't compare.

Izayoi's shadow clones had far superior duration and durability, even surpassing Itachi Uchiha.

So, Izayoi had his clone attend school on his behalf, while his real body used a transformation jutsu to disguise himself as an ordinary teenager and head to an abandoned training field to practice ninjutsu.

"Wind Style: Gale Palm!"

In an open field, Izayoi went through some dramatic hand seals, compressing chakra into wind within his palm, forming a small cyclone.

He released it with a strike, unleashing a violent gust that kicked up clouds of sand and dust.

Yes—dramatic hand seals.

Because Izayoi didn't need to use them at all.

More accurately, aside from supportive techniques like the basic transformation or Shadow Clone Jutsu, Izayoi could use any of the five elemental styles without seals.

There was no doubt—even among red-tier talents, there were differences.

And the red tag from the Ōtsutsuki bloodline was a tier above even the Sennin Body, the Sennin Eye, or the Byakugan Princess.

Not only was his chakra pool incredible, his ninjutsu talent was off the charts—like the Ōtsutsuki ancestors before Indra invented hand seals, he could unleash elemental ninjutsu instantly, without hand signs.

Even Hashirama Senju had to slap his hands together and shout the technique's name.

Izayoi? Not even that.

This wasn't just a god-tier ninjutsu talent—it was a deadly trump card.

When enemies thought he was still forming hand seals, he could instantly fire off a jutsu, catching them completely off guard.
