There he is—Captain Ginyu.
I turned to Goku and told him I was going to handle Captain Ginyu myself. At first, he seemed a little reluctant, but I reminded him: Frieza is still out there. Compared to him, Captain Ginyu is nothing. After a brief pause, Goku nodded.
Without another word, I shot toward Ginyu, who hadn't noticed me yet. As I approached, I delivered a swift kick to Burter's neck, killing him instantly. Ginyu turned to face me—not with anger, but with curiosity. He seemed more intrigued than offended.
I threw a right punch. He ducked—only to meet my knee slamming into his jaw.
Seeing him up close now stirred something deep inside me. This man was there when Planet Vegeta was destroyed. I never thought I cared much about that place... but now, I realized how wrong I was. The anger rising inside me wasn't just Saiyan pride. It was something more complicated—something more human.
Maybe being reincarnated on Earth had changed me more than I realized. I wasn't just Nappa anymore. I was someone else, someone new. And this rage—this strange feeling of grief and betrayal—it only proved that.
As our battle continued, I saw my opening. Captain Ginyu injured his chest—exactly what I was waiting for. I reached into my pocket and grabbed the frog I'd picked up earlier. I knew what was coming. If his Body Change technique hit, I'd be paralyzed. So just before he could speak the words, I threw the frog directly into his path.
And it worked.
The beam hit the frog. I watched it happen with my own eyes—and yes, it was just as ridiculous as it looked in the manga. But I didn't feel like laughing.
Goku blinked. "What just happened?"
I explained it to him simply, without fanfare. Nearby, I saw Vegeta watching us. The way he looked at me… it was complicated. Suspicious, confused, maybe even a little impressed. He wouldn't admit it, of course.
But this needed to happen.
He needed this blow to his ego, just like in the original timeline. I know he can be vindictive and childish at times, but I also know how strong he really is. Vegeta doesn't break easily—he bends and rebounds stronger. That's the thing people often forget about him.
He's not just proud.
He's resilient.
And maybe—just maybe—this will push him in the right direction.
Not today. Maybe not even tomorrow. But eventually.
He is, after all, the Prince of All Saiyans.
