Chapter 211 - 《Naruto: The Ōtsutsuki Bloodline》Chapter 211: Taking Action! (Please Subscribe)

"Welcome, esteemed guests from Konohagakure."

Inside Takigakure, the village leader greeted Kitagawa Minamoto and his group with a broad smile.

"It's been years since we last met, yet you all remain as impressive as ever. I must thank you for your assistance back then—"

"Greetings, it's been a while."

Jiraiya returned the greeting with a smile. He remembered this man well; it was the same person who had hosted them during their previous visit.

Time had passed, yet this individual seemed unchanged, and the Land of Waterfalls remained the same as ever.

But the situation for their group had changed dramatically—just look at how the Fourth Raikage was no longer around.

Jiraiya shook his head, feeling as though he had been influenced by Kitagawa Minamoto's cynicism. He cleared his thoughts before continuing with a polite smile.

"No need to dwell on the past. You're looking as spirited as ever yourself."

The two exchanged pleasantries, their interaction appearing warm and cordial.

Naruto and Sasuke, on the other hand, remained silent, curiously observing their surroundings.

Though they had undertaken numerous missions over the past three years, visiting another village like this was a first for them.

"Who would've thought Pervy Sage could be so proper?"

Naruto blinked, his surprise evident as he chuckled. Kitagawa Minamoto joined in with a light laugh.

"Don't underestimate Pervy Sage. While he may seem frivolous, he's always reliable when it counts."

"True, Jiraiya-sama has always been that way."

Kakashi nodded in agreement.

Watching Jiraiya and the Takigakure leader engage in their "business-like exchange of compliments," Kakashi urged the group to move forward.

"Let's go. We can talk more once we're resting."

"Oh, okay."

Naruto nodded, though he didn't need Kakashi's reminder—his parents had already advised him in his mind.

Sasuke, though visibly disdainful, refrained from commenting until they entered the designated guest room.

Once inside, however, he couldn't hold back.

"These people seem so perfunctory, as if they have no intention of negotiating. And their defenses are terrible—no barriers at all?"

"Sasuke, not every village is like Konohagakure."

Kakashi leaned against the wall, watching Jiraiya set up a soundproof barrier. Only then did he respond.

"Seal and barrier squads are precious resources, typically found only in the major ninja villages. Takigakure clearly falls short in that regard."

"Besides, even large-scale barriers are useless against powerful ninja or those with space-time techniques."

Kitagawa Minamoto shrugged, speaking with amusement. Though his words were blunt, Jiraiya nodded in agreement.

"Indeed. Whether it's Obito Uchiha or your last infiltration of Kumogakure, both relied on space-time techniques."

"Still, this setup isn't too bad."

Sasuke, however, held little regard for Takigakure. His mind was preoccupied with thoughts of Akatsuki.

"Didn't Tobirama-sensei and the Third Hokage say it's better if they get attacked? I wonder if we'll encounter them."

"You've really been corrupted..."

Kakashi sighed, feeling that his team was growing increasingly extreme.

Thankfully, Sakura hadn't changed—though her strength was lacking, at least she hadn't picked up bad habits.

Naruto, with his parents watching over him, was also relatively well-behaved.

Otherwise, Kakashi couldn't imagine what his team would become under Kitagawa Minamoto's influence.

"Actually..."

Kitagawa Minamoto glanced out the window before speaking in a low voice.

"I think they're already here."

"Huh?!"

Kitagawa Minamoto's words instantly made Kakashi and Jiraiya tense, while Sasuke and Naruto's eyes lit up.

Sasuke, in particular, grew eager. Activating his Sharingan, he scanned the distance and asked softly,

"Senior, are they really here?"

"Yes. Don't forget, I've fought them before."

Kitagawa Minamoto nodded, resting one hand on the windowsill as he gazed outside and spoke leisurely.

"I wouldn't fail to leave something behind on them. I didn't sense it earlier, but just now..."

"Kamui brought them here?"

Kakashi quickly understood, standing up and focusing on the distance. Jiraiya, curious, asked,

"Nagato, is he—"

"He's here. And even..."

Kitagawa Minamoto tilted his head, his expression turning peculiar.

"Those who are dead have come too."

As he spoke, his gaze shifted to the distance, and Kakashi, Jiraiya, and the others followed suit.

In the distance, a massive curtain of black iron sand suddenly unfolded.

It resembled a dark blanket, instantly enveloping the skies over Takigakure!

A figure rose into the air, hovering above and surveying everything below.

Simultaneously, several other figures leapt onto tall buildings.

Though their numbers were few, they seemed to surround Takigakure entirely.

"Sir, do you think the arrival of the Konohagakure delegation is yet another—"

Meanwhile, in Takigakure's conference room, the village leader and his advisors gathered for a meeting.

The sudden visit from Konohagakure had left them feeling uneasy and troubled.

They had a general idea of the purpose behind the visit.

"It's likely about the Seven-Tails again."

The village leader sighed, speaking irritably.

"Over the past three years, they've come to negotiate multiple times. We've rejected them every time, yet they still haven't given up!"

"Hmph, Konohagakure is practically the strongest force in the ninja world now. How can their ambition be so boundless?"

One elder grumbled unhappily.

"They already have the Nine-Tails, Iwagakure has the Four-Tails and Five-Tails, Kirigakure has the Three-Tails and Six-Tails, and Sunagakure has the One-Tail. They possess six Tailed Beasts already. Isn't that enough?"

"Maybe they want more leverage within the alliance. The Nine-Tails is powerful, but it's still just one."

"Then why don't they target Kumogakure or Sunagakure?"

"Perhaps they do. Maybe they aim for three Tailed Beasts per village. Who knows?"

"Damn it, these greedy vampires!"

Konohagakure's alliance was formidable, uniting three major ninja villages.

Such a situation would make anyone uneasy, fearing their motives or internal power struggles.

"So, what do we do?"

The village leader rubbed his temples, feeling deeply troubled.

"Do we continue rejecting them? This time, they've sent Jiraiya, one of the Legendary Sannin, Copy Ninja Kakashi, and..."

"The man who single-handedly defeated the Fourth Raikage and the Kazekage, led a three-man team to conquer Kumogakure, the new Silver Flash and White Fang of Konohagakure, and the ninja most likely to bring peace to the chaotic world..."

"The future Hokage, Kitagawa Minamoto!"

"Do you really think this matter will be resolved easily?"

As these words sank in, the entire Takigakure leadership fell into a deathly silence.

Though Kitagawa Minamoto hadn't acted much in the past three years, even limited details about his conquest of Kumogakure were enough to terrify people.

Konohagakure and its allies wouldn't reveal everything, and Kumogakure treated the incident as an unbearable humiliation.

Even if many had lost their fighting spirit, they still had their pride and wouldn't openly admit their fear or recount their experiences.

Yet the fragments of information that did leak out were already shocking enough!

"So, what should we do?"

After a long pause, an elder finally spoke with resignation.

"Do we really have to compromise?"

"Kitagawa Minamoto's presence might very well be the final ultimatum."

Another elder looked pained, the struggles and helplessness of a small nation laid bare.

"Do we truly have no choice left?"

"Let's wait and see."

The village leader sighed.

Their options were indeed limited.

"Hmm?"

Just as he was about to say more, his expression suddenly froze, sensing something amiss.

Zzzzz—

The light above flickered erratically, emitting sounds of faulty connections.

In the next moment, black iron sand blanketed the skies, forming an oppressive iron curtain over Takigakure!

"What is..."

The leaders were stunned, but before they could react further, a deafening shockwave erupted!

The powerful blast swept through the village, instantly reducing the outer buildings and streets to rubble.

Under the relentless force, everything was mercilessly crushed!

Dust and debris filled the air, shrouding Takigakure in darkness already thickened by the iron sand.

Amid the chaos, cries of varying strength, intermittent groans, and anguished screams intertwined.

"Damn it, what's going on?"

Though shaken by the invisible shockwave, the leaders quickly regained their footing.

Looking out the window, they saw the outer areas of the village in ruins, with even parts of the inner sections affected.

Countless people lay on the ground, buildings were damaged, and some had completely collapsed.

The sight filled them with rage, and their eyes turned to the figure in the sky.

Though the black iron sand obscured their view, they could make out the red-haired individual responsible for the devastation.

"Surrender the Seven-Tails, or..."

"Face the consequences!"

The cold voice echoed through Takigakure, the oppressive aura chilling everyone to the core.

The words made the situation clear: the Seven-Tails was the target.

"Wait, that guy..."

Suddenly, the leaders seemed to realize something.

Though the village was shrouded in darkness, they could see the red-haired figure and...

"Isn't that the group who fought Kitagawa Minamoto outside the village back then?"

They couldn't mistake the black cloaks with red clouds.

The realization hit them hard—this was serious!

They remembered the destruction from that battle, a level of devastation beyond their imagination.

They had even wondered if Konohagakure had orchestrated the timing to intervene or staged the conflict.

"Take him down!"

Takigakure's ninja quickly organized themselves, forming teams to counterattack Nagato and his group.

Nagato remained still, but his allies had already begun their assault.

Chaos consumed the village.

"They really know how to put on a show."

Inside the guest room, Kitagawa Minamoto observed the chaos outside and shook his head.

"But why are they doing this?"

Jiraiya, watching Nagato, suppressed his anxiety and asked softly.

"Aren't they afraid of provoking widespread outrage?"

"True, their target is clearly the Tailed Beast, but..."

Kakashi nodded, searching for Obito Uchiha's presence as he spoke.

"This approach seems excessive. Even though they're already wanted criminals, this is unexpected."

"Not entirely surprising. They've never been weak."

Kitagawa Minamoto shook his head, recalling how Akatsuki had directly crushed Sunagakure and captured the Kazekage during their first operation.

Attacking Takigakure now was relatively restrained.

Besides, the ninja world had an even more prominent target standing in their way...

"Shouldn't we do something?"

Naruto grew restless, watching Kitagawa Minamoto and the others remain unmoved.

"Just sitting here doesn't feel right."

"It's fine. Let them act for a bit longer."

Kitagawa Minamoto smiled, glancing at Sasuke.

This kid was also searching for Itachi Uchiha's whereabouts.

The fact that he hadn't rushed out immediately showed he was starting to embody the true essence of a ninja.

"But... but..."

Naruto struggled to accept the situation, but Kitagawa Minamoto remained calm.

"Didn't Tobirama-sensei and the Third Hokage say that sometimes the ninja world needs to witness Akatsuki's threat firsthand? Why aren't you listening to the Hokage's orders, Naruto?"

"I'm not, I just—"

Naruto glanced at the chaos outside, his fists clenched tightly.

Clearly, he couldn't stand idly by.

The screams and destruction outside continued to gnaw at his nerves.

"A ninja must remain calm and assess the situation."

Kitagawa Minamoto maintained his composure, glancing at Kakashi and Jiraiya before continuing.

"We need to act at the right moment. Don't you understand that, Naruto?"

"..."

Naruto didn't respond, simply looking outside as chakra surged within him.

He was clearly ready to act at any moment.

"Let me ask you something, Naruto."

Kitagawa Minamoto, still monitoring the situation in Takigakure, suddenly spoke.

"When are people most likely to let their guard down? Or rather, when is their vigilance at its lowest?"

"Um..."

Naruto didn't understand Kitagawa Minamoto's intent, but at that moment, another change occurred within Takigakure.

"Found it! The Seven-Tails Jinchūriki is over here!"

With a loud shout, everyone's attention shifted to the source of the voice.

At that moment, a surge of violent chakra erupted, shaking the room.

"Hmm?"

In the air, Nagato suddenly sensed something.

In the blink of an eye, a pair of silver eyes appeared before him, accompanied by the dazzling Purple Lightning and the swift swing of a White Fang short blade!

Back in the room, Kitagawa Minamoto's voice seemed to linger as he vanished.

"It's when they think they're about to 'win'..."
