Chapter 189 - Chapter 189: The Final Four

Time seemed to stand still. The inertia of the impact caused Gohan to fly away from the ground after being hit by the Special Beam Cannon, his thin body frozen in the air, blood trickling down.

The air froze instantly, and the energy field didn't dissipate for a long time. The pressure was suffocating.

Everyone's faces turned pale all at once, stunned.

Being hit by the Special Beam Cannon, could he still survive?

"Gohan!" Goku was the first to rush into the ring area. He swooped and embraced Gohan in his arms.

"Dad, I lost." Gohan said weakly, clutching his arms, his hair returning to black.

Goku was stunned for a moment. He looked carefully—there was no blood hole on Gohan's body pierced by the Special Beam Cannon, only his upper arm scratched slightly by the intense high-temperature energy. It turned out the blood just now had floated out from Gohan's mouth.

Gohan was fine!

The Special Beam Cannon had only grazed his edge.

Raditz looked at Piccolo and saw him cut off his own arm, then regenerate a new one. The original arm had protruding tendons with joints covered in fine blood.

Piccolo didn't look at Goku and his son. He walked directly back to the preparation area, his eyes flashing, and the useless arm on the ground exploded.

"After all, you showed mercy, Piccolo." Raditz whispered as Piccolo passed by.

"Hmph, it was a miss. It's his luck."

"In the middle of the Kamehameha, the beam that tore through Gohan's energy wave from the center would still be deflected? And your hand suffered heavy injuries inexplicably. I'm afraid you hurt yourself because you forcibly changed the energy trajectory."

Piccolo stopped. "I just don't want to kill him and lose my qualification." Then he turned his head suddenly, his eyes filled with cold light. "I'm going to beat you badly."

With that, Piccolo continued forward toward the corner, leaning against the nearly cracked wall alone.

"Really?" Raditz's voice was so quiet only he could hear it.

After a while, Goku returned to the rest area with Gohan in his arms. Except for Gohan's lack of energy, most of the wounds were superficial and not serious. Everyone breathed a sigh of relief and placed Gohan next to Tarble to rest.

After a short interval, the battle resumed, and the other galactic fighters were eliminated one by one.

Tien and Krillin advanced to the top sixteen respectively, but unfortunately encountered Pikkon and Goku. Against Pikkon's overwhelming speed and Goku's sixteen-fold Kaio-ken... all kinds of techniques were used. Tien finally tried to use the Mafuba, but failed because there was no container.

Breaking through ten meetings with one force—facing the power gap, Tien and Krillin were defeated in the end.

Pikkon admired the North Galaxy more and more. After Goku defeated Krillin, he reached out to support him, and the two laughed, just like they had at the World Martial Arts Tournament.

The closer to the finals, the higher the level of the players. In the end, only the Saiyans and the two outstanding talents of Zangya and Pikkon competed with each other in this arena, fighting endlessly.

At the end of the tournament, the much-anticipated Raditz, Pikkon, Piccolo, and Goku successfully advanced to the semifinals.

In the end, the remaining four fighters would compete for the position of strongest of the four galaxies. Not only could they gain this honor, but they could also receive a promise from the Grand Kai.

There had long been rumors that the Grand Kai was the number one master in the universe, with unfathomable strength. It was undoubtedly the greatest blessing for martial artists in the world to be taught by the Grand Kai.

Therefore, a large number of contestants participated in this martial arts tournament to gain the Grand Kai's favor. They hoped to become winners, then become the Grand Kai's disciples—even learning one or two techniques would satisfy them. The guidance of the universe's number one was exciting to think about. Those fighters who came from far away and even from the Otherworld all adhered to this goal.

Those who were eliminated were all sad and disappointed. In their eyes, what was lost was a peerless opportunity! After the top four were born, some were also disappointed with the galaxy they represented.

"Oh, it's over..."

"Three of the four are from the North Galaxy. The North Galaxy is too scary." Someone shook their head and sighed bitterly.

"Pikkon is also very strong—I don't know if he can win."

"Anyway, it's none of our business." Someone said definitively.

Everyone looked at each other, took deep breaths, sighed heavily, and expressed their helplessness with collective "ahs."

If they knew that Raditz didn't really care about the Grand Kai's teachings, everyone would probably curse them. Not to mention them—two of the four Kais had already withered. The South Kai and East Kai, who'd been the most arrogant at the beginning, looked at each other speechlessly and could only sulk.

The tense West Kai and King Kai looked at each other intensely, their eyes sparking fiercely.

The final battle was the most moving.

Although the eliminated Saiyans were defeated, they'd played very well. Everyone had enjoyed open battles and was incredibly excited. Especially those guys who'd fought with Raditz and Goku—they all felt deeply honored.

"The instructor is really amazing. Mr. Kakarot is great too."

"Tch, I was easily defeated by the green guy. It's really annoying." Pepara yelled loudly, aggrieved. She was the only one eliminated by Pikkon.

"I was also eliminated by the green guy..." Suddenly, Tarnip came over and muttered quietly.

"Shh, don't you want to live?" Pepara glanced at Piccolo and gestured for silence, but thought to herself that both guys were green—maybe they were related—and couldn't help bursting out laughing.

Angila: "..."

Piccolo's ears twitched slightly in the distance, and he snorted coldly, ignoring them.

"But Prince Vegeta doesn't seem reconciled. He had a chance to win." Pepara said as she got carried away. "Tarnip, who do you think is better—him or the instructor?"

"Prince Vegeta and Kakarot should be about the same, but Kakarot himself said he's no match for his brother, so the instructor is better."

Tarnip said seriously.

Suddenly, there was an indifferent and cold voice from behind that made people's hair stand on end: "Tch." One word shocked both Tarnip and Pepara.

They turned their heads stiffly, and out of the corner of their eyes caught a glimpse of Vegeta walking forward, their hearts pounding.

Crap! He heard...

The two, covered in cold sweat, ran away—one to help take care of Tarble, the other to Zangya with nothing to say, hiding from Vegeta.

Vegeta didn't bother talking to them and went straight to the front row, occupying the best position to watch the battle.

The battle that even he had to pay attention to was about to begin... Raditz, let me see how strong you really are!
