Chapter 349 - Chapter 349: The Android Apocalypse

Raditz's voice resonated like an abyss, making every listener tremble as if falling into a bottomless cavern. Several fragile androids collapsed immediately, electric sparks flying from their failing systems as mysterious fluids—whether oil or synthetic blood—leaked from the junction points between flesh and machinery. Even Gero recoiled under the overwhelming psychic pressure.

The androids in this distorted timeline proved even more fanatical than those from Trunks's original reality, obeying commands with disturbing absolute compliance. Dr. Gero's enhanced strength far exceeded all reasonable expectations. The mad scientist possessed two primary objectives: defeating Son Goku and achieving global domination. Following this trajectory, Earth would inevitably prove insufficient to contain their ambitions—eventually, artificial beings would spread across the entire universe like a mechanical plague.

Fortunately, this represented merely a temporal branch that could ultimately be repaired with spacetime energy manipulation.

Raditz suppressed the android swarm to ensure Trunks and Gero's battle could continue uninterrupted. Until Towa and Mira revealed themselves, treating this confrontation as valuable combat experience remained the wisest approach.

Gero seethed with fury after Trunks's successful counterattack. Continuous phantom images streaked through the void as he rushed toward the young Saiyan at maximum velocity.

BANG! Both warriors' legs collided with tremendous force, immediately generating invisible shockwaves that carved another deep trench across the battlefield with their impact point as the dividing line. Even the perpetually overcast sky showed a brief gleam of brilliance, as if gray silk had been torn apart to reveal the heavens' true face.

Trunks flickered continuously, launching high-speed attacks from every angle around Gero's position. The enhanced android's speed proved equally impressive, creating countless afterimages dancing through the air. Each collision sent shockwaves like thunderclaps from sky to ground, and the battle's overwhelming pressure terrified the remaining androids into cowering submission.

Gradually, Trunks increased his attack tempo, delivering relentless combinations that left no opportunity for Gero to recover. When speed and strength remained roughly equal, superior combat training became the decisive factor. Trunks was finding his rhythm in battle, growing more proficient with every exchange!

Meanwhile, Gero—who had begun the fight with supreme confidence—found himself increasingly overwhelmed and desperate.

Trunks executed a perfect feint before quickly raising both arms, releasing a concentrated blast of brilliant energy. The dazzling impact struck Gero directly, blasting him into the ground where he skidded nearly a hundred meters before finally stopping.

"Impossible!" Gero's top hat was knocked away, exposing his cybernetic skull modifications as his optical sensors blazed crimson with rage.

Though Trunks had expended more stamina, Gero's energy reserves remained largely intact without significant damage. However, his inability to defeat the young Saiyan despite his overwhelming pride in his enhanced capabilities was causing complete mental breakdown.

"Give me more power immediately!"

Gero called desperately to his androids, attempting to strengthen himself beyond his body's designed limitations.

Multiple androids rushed toward their creator, but Raditz controlled the surrounding space with casual mental dominance, preventing any artificial being from approaching Gero. The combat level needed to remain within these parameters—he wouldn't permit outside interference.

Witnessing his reinforcements' complete inability to reach him, Gero's desperation escalated exponentially.

"Anyone who dares resist me deserves immediate death! You'll join those pathetic fools in hell!" He screamed with manic fury, accumulating tremendous energy in both hands before unleashing a storm of destructive light. Crystal-clear white beams swept across a fan-shaped pattern nearly a kilometer in diameter, engulfing the entire sky.

"How dare you speak of them!" Trunks roared with righteous anger, drawing his legendary sword. The razor-sharp blade positioned itself defensively as its cold gleam matched Gero's devastating assault. Facing the apocalyptic sweeping attack, he stepped forward boldly—his sword moved, and hurricane winds rose with every motion!

Gero had failed to account for a Saiyan's ability to amplify power through emotional fluctuations. When truly enraged, their strength increase defied all logical calculation. By provoking Trunks's fury, he had effectively shortened his own survival time.

Golden flames and silver lightning wrapped around the sword's entire length, imbuing the blade with dominantly fierce energy.

The opposing forces collided violently, and Trunks's light blade sliced through Gero's sweeping assault like a hot knife through butter! The sharp radiance broke through every energy barrier, carrying Trunks inexorably toward his target.

Wind howled continuously as overwhelming pressure filled the battlefield.

The earth trembled under such violent energy collision, creating an apocalyptic atmosphere. Since this timeline would eventually be repaired regardless, its potential destruction seemed irrelevant. But Trunks couldn't tolerate Gero's actions or forgive his megalomaniacal ambitions.

"I will never... FORGIVE YOU!"

Scorching wind roared across the devastated landscape as Trunks's blade flashed with lethal intent, passing directly through Gero's position.

The storm's fury gradually subsided, explosions rumbled across the sky, and several lightning bolts struck the ground as everything in this gloomy world fell into eerie silence. Heat waves carried away the smoke screen, revealing through layers of gray haze both Trunks and Gero standing back-to-back.

The surviving androids stood paralyzed with shock.

The battlefield's ruins had been swept completely clean, leaving only scorched earth rising with acrid smoke. Gero's face had turned deathly pale, his right arm severed cleanly three inches below the elbow—the limb hitting the ground with a wet thud.

"AHHHH! AHHHHHHH!" Gero shrieked like a madman, waving his stumped arm in pathetic circles like a deranged patient.

Trunks gasped heavily while leaning on his sword for support, golden flames still burning around his exhausted form.

From his distant vantage point, Raditz smiled with genuine satisfaction. During the Galaxy Tournament, Trunks had managed only a draw against BoJack, but now he'd achieved decisive victory against the slightly stronger Super Android 20—clear evidence of significant improvement.

The desperate, defeated Gero was utterly doomed. Raditz raised one arm, condensing a blazing sphere of energy in his palm. With the outcome decided, no reason existed to preserve these artificial abominations.

Trunks understood the signal and leaped skyward to safety.

At that critical moment, every android across the battlefield looked upward, staring at Raditz and Trunks with lifeless optical sensors. Their limbs moved with stiff, mechanical precision as their eyes blazed crimson with supernatural heat! Gero, despite his severed arm, became surrounded by swirling purple-black demonic energy while his own eyes burned with bloody intensity, glaring straight toward the heavens.

"Finally... they're making their move," Raditz observed with grim satisfaction.

Towa and Mira—those shadowy manipulators lurking in dimensional darkness—were finally ready to reveal themselves. The androids' disturbing transformation was merely the opening act. The demons were controlling Gero, who in turn commanded every artificial being on the planet.

Across the entire world, androids displayed the same blood-red optical sensors like possessed dolls, their bodies gradually turning crimson and superheated as if internal fires burned through their synthetic skin, creating an ominous glow.

Energy overload reactors? Raditz recalled Android 20's previous self-destruction sequence—the pattern seemed identical.

"They intend to destroy the entire planet," he realized with growing alarm.

The overheating energy cores were transforming each android into a nuclear bomb on the verge of detonation. Such massive simultaneous energy release would utterly annihilate Earth, which already teetered on the brink of structural collapse.

Raditz quickly grabbed Trunks's arm and activated Instant Transmission.

Almost simultaneously, androids began exploding across the globe, accompanied by strange mechanical sounds and tremendous detonations. From their safe position in space, Raditz and Trunks could only watch as a magnificent pillar of light completely engulfed the doomed planet.
