Chapter 517 - Chapter 517: Ten Thousand Years Before

Raditz and the Future Grand Supreme Kai maintained a respectful distance as they conversed, finding surprisingly common ground in their mutual complaints about the Elder Kai's stubborn personality. The rapport between them grew quickly, and by the end of their discussion, the portly deity actually suggested Raditz should stay permanently in the Sacred World.

"Absolutely not." Raditz shook his head firmly. "What's the point of divine existence without my wife and children? I have no intention of becoming some ascetic god who renounces worldly attachments."

The thought of spending eternity like Shin and Kibito—watching over the vast universe from this isolated sanctuary, observing mortal affairs from an untouchable distance—seemed unbearably tedious. The alternative was even worse: sleeping like Beerus, who remained active for a few years at a time before retreating into slumber that lasted hundreds of thousands of years to pass the endless eons.

The mere thought made Raditz's skin crawl.

"Haha, I completely understand. You know—" The Grand Supreme Kai's jovial expression suddenly froze mid-laugh, his eyes widening with dawning horror. "You're a Saiyan!"

The supposedly unconscious Elder Kai's upper body suddenly snapped upright like a spring-loaded mechanism. His eyes flew open, his elongated face stretched even further in shock, and the deep wrinkles smoothed out from sheer surprise.

Both Supreme Kais stared at Raditz's tail, their voices rising in unified disbelief. That unmistakable appendage provided irrefutable proof of his Saiyan heritage—but how could a Saiyan possibly become a Supreme Kai? The concept exceeded their understanding of cosmic law itself.

"You're a Saiyan—a mortal! How did you ascend to godhood? There's no precedent for this! It's impossible!"

"Who says Saiyans can't become gods?" Raditz countered calmly. "As long as the necessary conditions are met, anyone can ascend. I possess the ability to maintain universal balance, and I've been recognized by the divine hierarchy. That's all that matters."

"Really?" The Elder Kai's eyes narrowed dangerously, twin beams of scrutiny lancing out. His seemingly frail body exploded with surprising vigor as he launched himself at Raditz like an arrow loosed from a bow!

His hand shot forward. A devastating punch. Energy erupted from his fist. The entire sequence flowed together seamlessly, executed in one fluid motion without the slightest hesitation or wasted movement.

It was difficult to imagine someone of his apparent age possessing such explosive strength and speed. He truly was worthy of being the Supreme Kai of the previous generation.

But his attack posed absolutely zero threat to Raditz. The power level of even an Elder Supreme Kai couldn't begin to shake someone who'd battled Zamasu to a standstill. Raditz remained completely motionless, facing the thunderous assault with perfect composure.

BOOM!

The impact resonated like a massive drum being struck, the sound reverberating across the sacred realm.

I landed a hit! The Elder Kai couldn't believe his success. A gleam of satisfaction crossed his face—then immediately transformed into confusion.

He looked up to find Raditz hadn't moved. Not even slightly.

The Supreme Kai hadn't stepped back, hadn't flinched, hadn't reacted at all to being struck. Instead, the Elder Kai felt his own power simply... dissipating against Raditz's immovable form, like waves crashing against an unyielding cliff.

"Ha! Take this! And this! AND THIS!"

Countless punches and kicks rained down on Raditz in a furious tempest. The Elder Kai refused to accept the evidence before his eyes and continued his wild assault, attacking with everything he had.

The Grand Supreme Kai watched from the sidelines, utterly dumbfounded. As an outside observer, he could clearly see that Raditz stood as straight and unyielding as an iron pillar, while the Elder Kai's devastating combination attacks... had all the impact of raindrops spattering against stone.

After the frenzied deluge finally subsided, the world fell into profound silence—broken only by the Elder Kai's violent, ragged breathing.

"Huff... huff..." Having exhausted his full repertoire of techniques, the Elder Kai bent over gasping for air. When he finally looked up, Raditz still stood there, completely unmoved. Not a single hair out of place.

"Do you believe I meet the qualifications now?" Raditz asked mildly.

"How... how did you achieve this?" The Elder Kai's voice caught in his throat. "The average Saiyan warrior's strength is nowhere near..."

He couldn't finish the sentence. The words simply wouldn't come.

In this era, Saiyans were indeed considered formidable among the major civilizations—their reputation as a warrior race was well-earned. But as far as the Elder Kai knew, Saiyans had never developed power sufficient to challenge actual gods. Yet Raditz hadn't even counterattacked or shown the slightest effort. His true strength remained unfathomable.

Could it be... that in the future, Saiyan power has evolved to surpass even divine beings?

Waves of incomprehension crashed through the Elder Kai's mind.

"This is the first time I've ever witnessed a mortal ascending to genuine godhood!" he breathed.

"Then perhaps..." The Grand Supreme Kai's face lit up with sudden excitement, his eyes sparkling with hope. "Perhaps we finally have a chance to fight against that demon!"

"Demon?" Raditz's attention sharpened instantly.

The Elder Kai coughed twice, his expression shifting to something more somber. "I'm ashamed to admit it, but a terrifying pink demon has appeared in our universe. Its power exceeds that of any Supreme Kai. For hundreds of years, it has destroyed countless planets and entire civilizations. Even the strongest warrior in the cosmos couldn't stand against it. We... we failed to stop it."

"A pink demon?" Raditz's mind began connecting dots. "What does it look like exactly?"

"It's difficult to describe. The creature has no fixed form—its shape constantly shifts. And it's enormous." The Elder Kai shook his head gravely. "What makes it even more terrifying is its origin: a cabal of dark magisters created it by combining ancient elemental forces. But the demon became too powerful, broke free from their control completely."

"Now, other dark practitioners are studying methods to control it. If those evil beings succeed..." The Elder Kai's voice dropped to barely above a whisper. "It will become the greatest catastrophe our universe has ever faced."

Raditz nodded slowly, the pieces falling into place. The pink demon is almost certainly Majin Buu in his ancient, primordial form.

The true origin of Majin Buu had always been shrouded in mystery. Shin believed that the warlock Bibidi had created it, but ancient legends suggested Buu might have existed in far more distant eras—that Bibidi had simply discovered the creature and learned to manipulate it.

References from the Frieza Clan's historical records confirmed that Majin Buu possessed an infamous reputation across the cosmos, holding a position of legendary status in universal history.

It seemed that even in these distant ancient times, the Supreme Kais were being tormented by this demonic entity.

"Where is Lord Beerus?" Raditz asked. "Couldn't the God of Destruction handle this situation?"

"Lord Beerus is currently sleeping," the Elder Kai replied with evident frustration. "And frankly, he doesn't concern himself with such matters. Of course, if Lord Beerus were to wake in a particularly foul mood, he might destroy the demon on a whim. But we can hardly rely on that."

The helplessness in his voice was palpable. Without the God of Destruction's intervention, the Supreme Kais stood no chance against Majin Buu's overwhelming power. Raditz knew from history that the Grand Supreme Kai standing beside him would eventually be absorbed by Majin Buu, his divine essence trapped within that pink monster for millennia.

"You want me to deal with it?" Raditz understood their intention immediately.

"Precisely." The Elder Kai nodded with grave solemnity. "Because of this demon's rampage, the development of our universe has stagnated, potentially setting us back countless millennia. We cannot allow it to continue wreaking havoc unchecked. Perhaps your arrival here isn't mere chance—perhaps it's a hidden arrangement of fate itself."

Wasn't I committing a felony just minutes ago? Raditz thought wryly. How quickly you change your tune, old man.

The Grand Supreme Kai stepped forward, his expression unusually serious. "There's more you should know. The Saiyan homeworld itself is currently in terrible danger. The magisters who seek to control the demon have succeeded in corrupting several evil-hearted Saiyans. They're using these corrupted warriors to sow chaos among the Saiyan people and destroy planets across their territory."

"They're using Saiyans as test subjects?" Raditz's jaw clenched.

"Exactly. This reveals the true terror of these dark magisters." The Grand Supreme Kai's voice carried genuine fear. "They can manipulate the darkness within mortal hearts, amplifying evil inclinations and granting corrupted individuals terrifying power—power that eclipses their natural limits."

He continued, "The righteous Saiyans have risen up to resist this corruption. They're fighting back with everything they have, but... the uprising hasn't been successful so far. The dark magisters' control is simply too strong."

Righteous Saiyans? An uprising?

The story struck a chord of recognition deep in Raditz's memory. He'd heard this tale before—or something remarkably similar. His mind raced backward through fragments of legend and myth until suddenly, a flash of insight crystallized everything.

The Legend of the Super Saiyan God!

This era—this specific point in history—must be when that ancient legend first began. The story of righteous Saiyans standing against overwhelming darkness, channeling their collective will and creating the first Super Saiyan God through a ritual of pure hearts.

Raditz leaned forward intently, his voice sharp with sudden urgency. "Who is leading the Saiyan uprising? What's the leader's name?"
