"Sōmi!"
The Third Kazekage swiftly flapped his iron wings, diving directly to Shukaku's side.
"Is it really you?!"
"Your eyes... what happened to them?"
The Kazekage's resolute face betrayed a fleeting expression of uncertainty, as if worried that this was some enemy ruse—or that the Sōmi before him had undergone some unknown transformation.
"Heh!"
"Sensei, rest assured," Sōmi said with a playful grin. "It's truly me, no doubt about it!"
"Remember, back in the day, it was I who helped you win over Sensei's wife. Without me, you'd probably still be a bachelor today!"
"You little brat!" The Kazekage's expression immediately hardened as he pretended to scold him.
"Alright, Sensei... hold on a moment." "Let me deal with this guy first!"
Sōmi spoke casually, as if the Six-Tails' Perfect Jinchūriki before him was nothing more than a trivial opponent.
As Sōmi turned his gaze toward the Six-Tails, the purple glow in his Rinnegan suddenly flared brightly.
Under the Kazekage's command, the sealing team had already retreated. If this truly was the real Sōmi, then this battlefield could be left entirely to him.
"What?!"
"That eye… is it the legendary Sage's Eye?!"
"This terrifying ocular power..."
"He can actually wield the full strength of that eye?!"
Having broken free from the reinforced Purple Flame Formation, Yagura suddenly felt a chill run down his spine.
Inside him, the Six-Tails Saiken was urgently warning him of the immense power of the man before them.
"Mizukage-sama, traveling all the way to Sunagakure as a guest... if I don't properly fulfill my duty as a host, wouldn't that make me a laughingstock in the shinobi world?"
The towering emerald-gold Shukaku dissipated, and Sōmi reverted to his human form. Standing alone before the fully Tailed Beast Transformed Yagura, his cold words carried a heavy air of death, as if they had risen from the depths of the underworld.
"It's Sōmi-sama!"
"It's really Sōmi-sama!"
"Sōmi-sama has finally returned!"
Cheers of excitement erupted from the Sand ninja behind him.
Ever since Sōmi became a Jinchūriki, the title of Sunagakure's strongest had been bestowed upon him. Any battlefield graced by his presence became a crimson nightmare for his enemies.
Yagura knew that words were meaningless at this point. If he could defeat Sōmi, Sunagakure would still fall into his grasp!
"Chirōkyū!"
The Six-Tails spewed a torrent of thick, milky-white liquid from its mouth and the openings along its body. The liquid surged toward Sōmi like a rushing river.
Clearly, Yagura was using this large-scale technique to pin Sōmi down. Even if it couldn't harm him, it could at least clear out the Sand ninja behind him.
After releasing the liquid, the Six-Tails emitted a series of faintly purple gases from its openings. The gas carried pale purple patches on its surface, spreading over the liquid and combining with it to roll toward Sōmi.
Standing alone before the Sand ninja, Sōmi's face showed no trace of fear. He raised his right hand and softly uttered four words: "Shinra Tensei."
Wooooom—
A strange, low hum echoed, and the space before Sōmi suddenly trembled. A massive repulsive force erupted outward!
Ssshhh...
The repulsive force was so immense that not only were the liquid and gas dispersed and sent flying back, but even the ground itself was torn up and hurled into the air.
The acidic gas and viscous liquid recoiled, splashing back onto the Six-Tails. The substance clung to its body like strands of sticky mucus.
"What?!"
"This power…"
"Is this the strength of the Sage's Eye?!"
Yagura's heart trembled.
If that's the case, let's see if the Tailed Beast Bomb can be reflected back!
Screech!
The Six-Tails let out its unique cry once more. Blue and purple Chakra bubbles rapidly formed around its mouth, coalescing into a dark purple sphere.
Clang, clang, clang...
Nine silver-white chains shot out, wrapping around the Six-Tails' massive body from all directions.
"What?!"
"Is this... the Uzumaki clan's Adamantine Sealing Chains?"
"No, the binding power of these chains... how can it be this strong?!"
Yagura immediately sensed something was wrong.
The sharp tips of the nine silver chains targeted the center of the Six-Tails' abdomen, piercing directly into it.
Thud! Thud! Thud...
Six deep, dull thuds echoed as the Six-Tails' swaying tails were pinned to the ground by long black rods.
Suddenly.
The dark purple sphere at the Six-Tails' mouth shattered instantly, scattering into fragments that drifted away.
The Six-Tails' massive form quickly shrank, reverting to a partially Tailed Beast Transformed state. But even this form lasted only a moment before the outer layer of red Chakra was stripped away, revealing Yagura's original form.
"Impossible!"
"You can bind the power of a Tailed Beast so easily?!"
Nine silver chains pierced deeply into Yagura's abdomen. He felt as if they were anchored to his spine and soul, sending a tingling numbness through his entire body. Yet he couldn't move a muscle, let alone draw on his Chakra.
"Nothing is impossible..." Sōmi said coldly. "From my perspective, the flaws in your rudimentary seal are glaringly obvious." "If I weren't trying to preserve as much of the Six-Tails' power as possible, I wouldn't have needed to go to all this trouble."
Sōmi stepped forward slowly, his towering figure casting a shadow over the kneeling Yagura.
Sizzle!
With a casual wave of Sōmi's hand, a surge of dense silver currents erupted from the surface of the nine chains, enveloping Yagura entirely like an electric cocoon.
"Ahhh!!!"
Yagura's anguished screams echoed across the battlefield.
After a while.
Steam rose from Yagura's body, which was now charred black like the crust of a roasted bird. Not a single patch of unscathed skin remained, and even his internal organs were in a half-cooked state.
Yet Yagura still clung to life. His ruptured, fluid-leaking eyes stared blankly in Sōmi's direction, devoid of light.
"Don't worry..." Sōmi said, his voice icy and chilling. "When you can see again, it will be during the massacre of those villagers in Kirigakure. You'll watch as they die, one by one, by your own hands..."
Sōmi's sinister voice echoed in Yagura's mind, the last words he would hear.
In the next instant, Yagura felt the Six-Tails being forcibly ripped from his body.
Along with it, his flickering life force was also drawn away...
