Chapter 17 - Chapter 17: The Peerless Beauty, Inosuke

"Bastard, who cares about some Demon Slayer Corps~" The boar-headed man roared, raising his swords to attack.

"Members aren't supposed to fight each other, don't you know that? Our top priority is to eliminate the demons in this house!" Tanjiro shouted while parrying.

Uchiha Nagi looked at the two speechlessly, then called out to Tanjiro, "Let me handle this. Hey, Boar-boy, got the guts to have a contest with me? Whoever clears out the demons in this house first, and kills more, wins. How about it?"

"I don't care about any of that! Bring it on! I want to fight you, you're stronger~"

"Hey, you're not scared, are you? If you're scared, then forget it..."

"Screw you! Who's scared? A contest it is! Also, my name is Hashibira Inosuke, not Boar-boy! Don't go around giving people stupid nicknames!"

With that, the boar-masked man—no, it should be Hashibira Inosuke—jumped up excitedly, pointed his sword in one direction, and roared, "Aaaah! There's a demon over here! Kill it! Pig Assault—"

"Hey, here's something for you." Uchiha Nagi tossed him a soldier pill. Although people in this world didn't have chakra, the fundamental purpose of a soldier pill wouldn't change—it was to restore various nutrients and energy to the human body. "This can restore your stamina. You probably haven't eaten in three days, have you?"

Hashibira Inosuke took the soldier pill, sniffed it, and then swallowed it in one gulp. "Ooh, good stuff! My strength is surging! Aaaah! Pig Assault—" With that, like a ferocious beast, he smashed through a wall and charged out, as if he were on a massive adrenaline high.

Uchiha Nagi slowly turned his head to Tanjiro. "See? To deal with this kind of one-track-minded guy, this is the way to do it..."

Tanjiro: "......."

Without the Drum Demon manipulating it, the house gradually returned to normal. The rooms no longer shifted, and gravity didn't randomly change direction, making fights much easier. The remaining demons weren't Twelve Kizuki, so cleaning them up wouldn't be difficult.

Tanjiro walked over to the decapitated Drum Demon and was comforting him. No matter how many evil deeds one committed, before death, memories of their time as a human would always resurface. Most of them were originally ordinary people, turned into demons for various reasons. As humans, many were inherently good-natured, but gradually, amidst the desire to devour humans and the increase in power, they forgot their human memories and lost sight of their true nature.

"Pitiful? Once he fell, he was no longer worthy of anyone's pity," Uchiha Nagi said.

"I know. No one will forgive him, and the wrongs he committed don't deserve forgiveness. I just feel sorrow for him," Tanjiro sighed.

Uchiha Nagi looked at Tanjiro. To be honest, he didn't particularly like such pure and simple-hearted people. But thinking back to the Naruto world, the Uchiha clan of 'neurotics,' and the deceitful Konoha, it was more relaxing to be around straightforward people. The so-called Will of Fire was just a slogan. In reality, it was all about naked self-interest. Even the Hyuga clan leader's younger brother could be casually handed over to die. But here, apart from protecting ordinary people and killing demons, there seemed to be no other backstabbing or scheming. Life was simple and comfortable.

[Hahahaha, found you! Pig Assault...] From inside the house, the boar-headed man's shouts could be faintly heard. One-track-minded people were easy to trick. Let him handle the remaining small fry. Without a Nichirin Blade, Uchiha Nagi couldn't be bothered to clean them up either. After all, those undying things were too troublesome to deal with.

Not long after, Tanjiro and Zenitsu began to clear the house, carrying the bodies of the deceased ordinary people outside to be buried. The three rescued ordinary people helped them.

Just as Tanjiro and another person were carrying out another body, he witnessed a horrifying scene. That boar-headed man, Inosuke, raised his Nichirin Blades and charged towards the wooden box where his sister Nezuko was hidden, intending to kill her.

"Stop—" Tanjiro yelled.

Tanjiro was too late. At that moment, Uchiha Nagi used a Body Flicker Technique, appearing in front of the wooden box, and activated his Sharingan. "Hey, Boar-boy, look at me..."

"Hm?" The boar-headed man, Inosuke, inadvertently glanced at Uchiha Nagi's red three-tomoe Sharingan and instantly fell under a genjutsu. "Hahaha, Pig Assault! Pig Assault~ I'll chop you to bits~~~"

Watching the boar-headed man, Inosuke, foolishly swinging his blades at the air until he couldn't anymore, his eyes rolled back, and he collapsed to the ground, asleep. Everyone else looked completely bewildered.

Zenitsu cautiously walked over and nudged him with his foot. "This guy seems to have fainted. Is he sick or something? Why was he randomly swinging his swords at the air?" Driven by curiosity, Zenitsu removed the boar-head mask that the other had been constantly wearing.

"Eh—A girl????" "Ah..." Zenitsu shrieked as if petrified. "Under such a muscular body, there's actually a girl's face! What a monster..."

"......." "......."

A short while later, when everyone had dug the graves and was preparing to place the victims' bodies inside for burial, Boar-boy Inosuke woke up again. "Aargh~~" Inosuke roared, leaping to his feet. "Let's settle this! Huh? Woke up to find a demon! Awooo! Pig Assault!" With that, he grabbed his swords and charged towards Nezuko, determined to cut her down with his Nichirin Blades. Tanjiro hurriedly blocked his path. "Stop it! That's my sister! She's not a bad person; she hasn't hurt anyone!"

"Who cares about that! If you don't want me to kill her, then come and settle things with me!" Boar-boy Inosuke roared. "Hm?" Suddenly, Inosuke felt a cool sensation on his face. He touched it and realized his mask was gone. "Bastard! Who took my mask?!"

Zenitsu, standing nearby, said with a grin, "You're as pretty as a girl. Why wear a boar-head mask?" "Hm? You got a problem with my face?" With that, his expression darkened, and he charged at Zenitsu, raising his swords to fight.

"Aaaah! Help me—" Zenitsu immediately ran behind Uchiha Nagi. Nagi's mouth twitched incessantly. Such a cowardly dual personality, truly one of a kind. "Hey, Boar-boy, look at me~"

"Hm?" Boar-boy Inosuke, just as he charged in front of Uchiha Nagi, fell under genjutsu once more. He yelled and screamed at the air, then fell asleep again.

"That was amazing, Nagi-san! How did you do that? You defeated him just by looking at him?" Zenitsu asked, his face full of admiration. "This is genjutsu. You want to learn? I can teach you. Equivalent exchange—you can teach me Thunder Breathing."
