On another battlefield, Rasa, who was determined to assist Obito in escaping, was swiftly intercepted by Deidara. Naturally, Deidara wouldn't let him have his way.
"Magnet Release: Gold Dust Wave!"
Before Deidara could act, Rasa launched his attack first.
A massive wave of gold dust surged into the sky, resembling a colossal hand that reached out to seize Deidara and Kakashi.
Although it was unclear how much stronger Rasa had become to exude such confidence, the sheer scale of the gold dust attack was undoubtedly impressive.
After all, the last time he had executed an attack of this magnitude, he had relied on the desert's sand to amplify it.
"Rasa, gold has a melting point of only 1,000 degrees. Taking you down is going to be too easy!"
"Last time, I was just a clone, so you didn't realize the natural disadvantage your abilities have against mine."
The C3 Asura Path swiftly transformed back into its robotic form. Gripping the exhaust pipes on its back with both hands—and even utilizing its mouth—it unleashed three streams of searing flames.
The intense heat melted the gold dust midair, turning much of it into liquid that rained to the ground. Some of the gold even vaporized entirely, given that gold's boiling point was just over 2,000 degrees.
"Damn it! This isn't working! I need to lower the temperature of the flames—too much gold is vaporizing, and I'm losing billions!"
Watching his precious gold dust being melted and vaporized, Rasa gritted his teeth in frustration. His gold wasn't just any ordinary material; it was wealth, painstakingly gathered over time!
"What are you all standing there for? Kill him already!" Rasa hastily withdrew his remaining gold dust and barked orders at the group behind him.
"Die!"
The group charged forward recklessly, their boldness catching Deidara off guard.
"Are these people crazy?"
In this situation, Deidara didn't bother crafting intricate clay creatures. Instead, he casually tossed out a large bomb.
Boom!
The explosion engulfed the charging group in flames. The process went so smoothly that Deidara found it suspicious—it shouldn't have been this easy.
Sure enough, as the firelight faded, the figures of the group began to reappear. They had been resurrected.
Edo Tensei?
Deidara's first thought was of the Impure World Reincarnation technique, but he quickly dismissed the idea. The method of resurrection didn't resemble Edo Tensei, and the only known user of the technique was Orochimaru. Kabuto Yakushi, if he had mastered it, wouldn't have done so at this point in the timeline.
Besides, even if it were Edo Tensei, why resurrect weaklings instead of stronger individuals?
Standing beside him, Kakashi's experience proved more reliable. Observing the strange resurrection, distant memories surfaced in his mind.
"Mōryō?"
The peculiar method of revival reminded Kakashi of the legendary demon. Given that matters involving the Land of Demons were historically handled by Konoha, it was no surprise that Kakashi was more knowledgeable about it.
"Mōryō? Are you sure, Kakashi?" Deidara was momentarily stunned before his expression turned serious. According to legend, Mōryō possessed the power to destroy the world. If it were truly that powerful, this would be a significant problem.
However, before Kakashi could respond, their enemy confirmed it for them.
Shimura Seito, one of the resurrected, laughed triumphantly. "That's right! It's Lord Mōryō!"
"He has granted us immense power and the blessing of immortality. No matter how much you attack us, it's useless!"
"Is that so?"
The C3 Asura Path unleashed another round of artillery fire, once again obliterating the group below. Yet, Deidara and Kakashi watched as the enemies resurrected themselves once more.
"According to legend, the only way to deal with Mōryō's immortal army is through sealing techniques. Conventional methods won't work," Kakashi said grimly.
Deidara nodded but remained skeptical.
Absolute immortality? Such a concept sounded absurd. Even worlds could perish, so how could the trick of a creature not even planetary-level be truly immortal?
It was merely a matter of his current strength being insufficient.
"Magnet Release: Gold Dust Realm Law!"
Not willing to give up, Rasa launched another attack. This time, he infused his gold dust with the power granted by Mōryō, greatly enhancing its speed and destructive force.
Whoosh!
The C3 Asura Path spewed flames again, but this time, the results were less effective. Sharp pillars of gold dust extended unpredictably through the air, rapidly closing in on Deidara's position.
"How about this? The power of Lord Mōryō!" Rasa shouted fanatically.
Deidara smirked. From behind, he launched a massive projectile that shattered Rasa's Gold Dust Realm Law with a resounding explosion.
It was Flesh Colossus, finally arriving on the battlefield. The Six Paths on the other side had only managed to delay it for so long.
"Rasa, retreat!" Obito left a parting message before fleeing.
Rasa and the others combined couldn't even defeat Obito, so what made them think they could take on Deidara?
"Damn it!"
"Magnet Release: Gold Dust Burial!"
Rasa unleashed his strongest attack. A massive amount of gold dust surged toward Deidara, attempting to encase him completely and crush him with immense pressure in an instant.
As for Obito's retreat, Rasa had noticed but didn't care. His mission was to ensure Obito's escape, and with his supposed immortality, he felt no fear.
"This attack is somewhat interesting," Deidara remarked.
With a wave of his hand, the Flesh Colossus briefly took flight, aided by its propulsion systems. Once it positioned itself in front of the incoming gold dust, the previously overwhelming quantity of gold suddenly seemed insufficient.
Forget about a Gold Dust Burial—it wouldn't even be enough to coat the surface of the Flesh Colossus.
"Flesh Colossus! Volcanic Eruption!"
"Rasa Shock Value +2000"
The battlefield was instantly engulfed in searing flames. Even with Mōryō's power, the gold dust lasted only a few seconds before vaporizing.
As for Rasa and the other fodder, they were caught in an endless cycle of death and resurrection, over and over again.
But Deidara had no interest in them now. He and Kakashi, riding atop a clay bird, pursued Obito's retreating figure. This ambush was their best opportunity, and they couldn't let Obito escape.
Clay Myriad Snake Hands!
Almighty Push!
Obito unleashed a wide-range Almighty Push and then burrowed underground.
"C2 Standard Type: Rock Worms!"
Countless long rock worms dropped from Deidara's hands, burrowing into the ground to pursue Obito.
"Kakashi, use Kamui to absorb the Flesh Colossus's residual heat. Prevent Obito from using Kamui while out of sight."
"Understood," Kakashi replied, turning to focus on the rear.
Meanwhile, Deidara controlled the rock worms as they tunneled underground, quickly detecting something unusual.
"There you are!"
Boom!
A massive explosion erupted underground. Deidara was confident the blast had struck Obito.
But when he descended to confirm the kill, all he found was the corpse of a White Zetsu.
At some point, Obito had swapped himself with a clone.
Land of Marshes.
"Hahahahaha!"
"Hahahahaha!"
Inside a shrine, unrestrained laughter echoed, booming like a great bell. The sound seemed to penetrate the soul, though the barrier surrounding the shrine prevented it from spreading outside.
If ordinary people were to hear it, they might be driven mad instantly.
"Why are you so happy? Did it work?" another voice asked, its tone exaggerated yet laced with a destructive madness.
"Of course! Of course!"
"The original threads of fate have been completely unraveled. The time for our return to the world has come!"
