Crack!
A white Lightning Release spear stabbed straight into Yagura's Kara.
Saitama gripped the end of his Ninjutsu with one hand, his muscles tensed.
However, this attack was dodged by Yagura. Originally aiming for his head, Saitama's strike met only empty space as Yagura retracted his head at the last moment, twisting his body so that his back faced the incoming assault.
The sturdy Kara served as perfect defense. Even Saitama's Lightning Release struggled to inflict significant damage.
Zap! Sparks crackled continuously. Saitama found it difficult to withdraw his jutsu spear because it had pierced too deeply and the shell was simply too hard.
He pulled with all his might, channeling chakra to amplify his strength—but the spear wouldn't budge. Then in the next second, a real threat arrived at his face.
Whoosh!
A thick red tentacle swept toward him from another direction, forcing Saitama to abandon his jutsu and retreat hastily.
This blow came ferociously. Saitama evaded hastily—first jumping backward with both feet, flipping over once to land sideways. His hands slammed the ground, and in a flash he flipped sideways, twisting his body and engaging his core to launch himself clear of the tentacle's reach.
Clack! Landing on the side, Saitama barely managed to avoid Yagura's attack temporarily. His eyes glowed crimson red, the Mangekyou swirling continuously, faintly exuding an unusual energy flowing within them, making him look like a killer consumed by bloodlust.
Whoosh! Almost no reaction time remained when Yagura's tentacles arrived once more. This time, two came forth, attacking from completely different directions, narrowing Saitama's options for evasion to the extreme, compelling him to retreat.
Tap-tap-tap! Forced backward, Saitama retreated quickly but still slashed his Lightning Release down upon the nearby tentacle. But the limb was made entirely of chakra—nearly infinite, from the Tailed Beast. The slash faded the instant it was made, the wound sealing itself shut.
That's exactly what made Tailed Beasts and Jinchuriki such a pain in battle, especially someone like Yagura who could perfectly communicate and mutually borrow strength from his beast. If the fight entered a drawn-out stalemate or became a contest of endurance, even Saitama would find it hard to win.
Moreover, Saitama knew Yagura's intention all along: to force him off his back. Remaining positioned there made Yagura feel extremely uncomfortable and put him at a disadvantage.
Yagura's form was massive while Saitama, standing atop him, appeared tiny. With unrelenting thrashing and tentacle strikes coming from every angle, Saitama kept moving evasively until, within a very short period, he was pushed toward the edge of the Kara. One more push and he'd fall downward completely.
Not once did Yagura speak throughout; only heavy breathing echoed continuously. Furthermore, due to Saitama's nimble dodging, none of his attacks landed successfully, visibly irritating him. Countless streams of chakra danced about, transforming into new weapons for his assault, amplifying the strength behind his tentacles.
Although he had just been hit by Saitama's attack, the damage was so minor that it was almost negligible for his entire body. Even though the moment of impact had indeed caused him immense pain, that agony vanished like receding tide within an instant.
Thanks to his Tailed Beast's powerful regeneration ability, those wounds would regenerate quickly. However, what truly irritated Seta most was his inability to land a proper hit on Saitama and cause effective damage.
Saitama picked up on this right away. While dodging Seta's attacks, he was already figuring out his next move.
If he wanted to do real damage to someone that big, he had to use a powerful Ninjutsu move—otherwise, it was just a waste of time.
Looking at Seta's current enormous size, Saitama narrowed his eyes—just like Hashirama once did—his gaze distant with memory. This battle reminded him of a battle from the past: back then, Sasuke, as part of the Taka Team, launched a capture mission against the Eight-Tails.
At that time, when facing B in his complete Tailed Beast form, Sasuke chose a specific offensive jutsu that ended the battle quickly. Although the final outcome wasn't very pleasant, that move definitely packed enough punch. Moreover, it was especially convenient to execute against a large target like a Tailed Beast.
The idea shot through Saitama's mind in an instant. He now knew exactly which technique he should use next.
Another tentacle assault came rushing toward him. This time, Saitama reacted swiftly, since even though his mind was busy thinking, his eyes never left the physical shape of Seta's manifested tentacles. He raised his hand into a gun gesture, with his index and middle fingers extended together. White lightning compressed and gathered at his fingertips, eventually forming into a brilliant white Lightning Orb. Then, this Lightning Spear aimed directly at the incoming tentacle.
Bang!
A crisp sound echoed through the air. A streak of empty air formed before Saitama's fingertip, stretching straight toward one of the tentacles.
Zap! Instantly, a large hole formed on Seta's tentacle. Arcs of electricity danced around the wound, slowing down the speed of the Tailed Beast Chakra converging to repair the damage. The tentacle itself halted its forward movement due to this blow and then, under some invisible force, started retreating backward.
The finger gun successfully stopped one tentacle, but another simultaneously attacked. Since he couldn't fire again immediately, right after launching the shot, Saitama bent his legs and leaped. Before the second tentacle could reach him, he jumped off the top of Seta's giant turtle shell first.
Crack! The tentacle slammed exactly where Saitama had been standing a moment ago. Unable to completely stop its momentum, it crashed heavily onto the carapace, creating a tremendous noise.
Saitama's gaze fell on the spot where the Lightning Lance had pierced through before he leaped off the carapace. He noticed that the technique had already been absorbed by the tailed beast chakra, and the wound it caused was shrinking rapidly, nearly vanishing. Saitama had expected it, but still frowned slightly. The damage from a single strike of Sage Art jutsu should have been among the hardest to eliminate and heal, yet for the tailed beasts, it appeared effortless.
ROAR!
While Saitama was still midair, Yagura let out a bestial roar. His body twisted multiple times as he swiftly shifted sideways to create distance, then fixed his small eyes on the descending figure.
He'd already succeeded—getting Saitama off his back and seizing control of the battle.
Landing in a crouch, Saitama compressed his posture low while narrowing his eyes at Yagura. Sage Chakra surged around him, lightning crackling wildly. Electric arcs burst outward, and currents swept across the ground beneath him like an electric field spanning several meters.
[WHOOSH WHOOSH!]
Yagura opened his maw wide, revealing rows of razor-sharp fangs inside. A pitch-black throat began gathering massive amounts of chakra, slowly condensing it into a spherical shape.
Claws dug firmly into the ground as three somewhat damaged tails swung violently through the air, stirring up ambient energy and residual chakra particles.
Without unnecessary words, practically the instant Saitama landed, Yagura launched his jutsu again—seemingly having already predicted his landing point.
With a BOOM, the massive Tama inside his mouth suddenly exploded, releasing multiple smaller chakra spheres in rapid succession. These smaller orbs shot forward at incredible speed along curved paths, trailing streaks of crimson light.
Though not large—each about one meter in diameter—the violent surging energy emanating from them caused palpitations even from a distance. Saitama focused intently as they approached.
Right after the first came the second, then third... Each separated by less than half a second, their paths varied yet somehow connected, forming an intricate net designed to completely seal off any possible evasive maneuver with slight curving approaches.
This time, Yagura became a living machine gun, spewing high-density chakra spheres one after another from his mouth. Within mere moments, over ten flew directly toward Saitama, nearly engulfing the entire space before him.
From afar, Saitama appeared entirely surrounded by incoming chakra balls.
Unfazed, Saitama noticed Yagura's preparation the moment he touched down. As soon as the attack commenced, so did Saitama. Planting his right foot backward, he propelled himself forward instantly.
Instead of charging straight ahead, he weaved toward Yagura, circling around him like an orbiting force, searching for an opening while dodging the relentless barrage.
Although the number of Chakra Balls was staggering and their power wasn't low either, to an ordinary person dodging them would be practically impossible. But for Saitama, using footwork techniques to evade these attacks was still feasible—he could at least give it a try since he was fast enough.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
As Saitama dashed and weaved around, the Chakra Balls followed his steps, landing on the ground and blasting a series of massive deep craters into the earth.
Meanwhile, Yagura rotated his body continuously along with Saitama's movements, keeping his cannon aimed directly at him. His attacks kept missing, but he didn't give up. He kept firing Chakra Balls steadily, keeping Saitama at bay.
If it was just about who ran out of energy first, he knew he had the stamina to last. Since he hadn't yet found an effective way to counter Saitama in the short term, using this method to stall him was actually quite effective.
The figure dressed in white moved constantly, leaving afterimages and marks in the air while explosions continued one after another behind him. Yet they never truly reached Saitama; they only kept chasing his trail, eating his dust.
One round, two rounds, three rounds… Saitama and Yagura wore each other down—one relying on speed and the other depending on seemingly endless chakra, like entering an infinite loop.
"This is really boring."
Konan, watching what seemed to be a stalemate between Saitama and Yagura, muttered these words before shifting her attention downward toward the Mist ninja below.
While Saitama dealt with Yagura, she should eliminate those annoying Mist ninja already. From the looks of things, Saitama wouldn't finish off the enemy anytime soon, so if she finished off the Mist ninja first, she might even have time to assist him afterward.
Flutter!
Behind Konan, two huge paper wings fluttered open, immediately propelling her toward the other Mist ninja who were waiting nearby. While still mid-air, she raised both hands in front of her chest, transforming countless sheets of paper into dense projectiles—like raining down needles upon those ninja.
"Ahh!" "Ahh!" "Watch out!"
Instantly, the Mist ninja plunged into chaos. Several ninja were caught off guard by Konan's sudden assault, losing their lives as they collapsed into pools of blood, pierced all over by Paper Senbon.
Maintaining a certain altitude, Konan harvested lives among the Mist ninja. She no longer fought from the sidelines as an observer but took full advantage of her aerial superiority, acting decisively without hesitation.
Though the Mist ninja responded promptly under Konan's onslaught, they couldn't reach her airborne position at all, resorting to helplessly casting ninjutsu skyward in hopes of hitting her.
Soon, cries from the Mist ninja grew fainter and fewer as their numbers rapidly dwindled under Konan's relentless attacks, leaving behind only a few ninja whose bodies had been hit by several senbon but whose wounds weren't yet fatal.
After glancing once more toward Saitama, Konan locked eyes with Yagura before ignoring him again, continuing her deadly assault on the remaining Mist ninja.
Roar!
Yagura struggled to keep up with Saitama. Though he caught a glimpse of the distant fight from the corner of his eye, he was helpless to intervene. Letting out a sorrowful growl, he turned his full attention back to Saitama—only by defeating him could he hope to survive.
Whoosh! Saitama hurled his final Flying Thunder God Kunai at Yagura—the last kunai he had left on him. The weapon gleamed white as it spun through the air, vanishing from his hand in an instant.
Yagura narrowed his eyes the moment he noticed Saitama's move and immediately fired a Chakra Ball at the incoming kunai. He finally understood how Saitama's Space–Time Ninjutsu worked. As long as he kept the kunai marked with the special Cursed Seal outside his attack range, Saitama would struggle to land a hit.
Swish! The Chakra Ball shot forward and smashed into the kunai, causing a violent explosion. The kunai shattered, its Flying Thunder God Cursed Seal instantly destroyed.
As for Saitama, the moment he threw the kunai, he didn't rashly activate the Flying Thunder God to chase after it. Instead, he stayed rooted in place, clearly anticipating Yagura's counterattack.
By attacking the kunai, Yagura gave Saitama a brief opening to execute a pre-prepared jutsu. This wasn't something he could pull off while dodging attacks—it needed setup first.
Drawing Yagura's focus with the thrown kunai had been Saitama's exact plan.
So the moment the kunai left his hand, Saitama didn't move again. His hands formed a familiar hand sign over his chest, guiding chakra through well-worn pathways. Then, a ripple of Sage Chakra surged around his body.
Snap!
At the very moment the kunai was struck by Yagura's Chakra Ball, Saitama slammed both hands onto the ground. A pitch-black Cursed Seal appeared near his palms, spreading across the ground beneath them. Moments later, spatial fluctuations rippled outward, releasing a puff of white smoke.
Yagura squinted. He had to eliminate the threat of the kunai first and prevent Saitama from closing in. Naturally, he knew that attacking the kunai would give Saitama a brief chance to act. After weighing his options, he chose to destroy the kunai.
What Saitama was doing now wasn't unexpected—Yagura had already predicted it. Still, he couldn't make out what kind of jutsu it was, which made him all the more wary that Saitama dared to cast it at this moment.
The white smoke billowed up, blinding Yagura for a moment—then came a surge of intense chakra from behind the veil.
Hiss! Hiss!
A crimson glow spread outward along with a fierce aura, accompanied by the unmistakable sound of a serpent flicking its tongue—one Yagura recognized instantly.
"Summoning Jutsu?"
That thought flashed through Yagura's mind, his expression tightening further. Could it be that Saitama, unable to find an opening due to their size difference, had decided to summon something to balance the odds?
As the smoke cleared, Yagura's suspicion was confirmed. Emerging from the dissipating haze was a massive red serpent nearly as large as himself.
As soon as this giant serpent appeared, a ruthless aura unlike that of the Tailed Beasts immediately spread around its body. Its red and broad menacing scales, powerful tail, and the lone eye exuding malevolent energy made it a fearsome sight.
Hiss... Hiss...
Shinta flicked its crimson tongue repeatedly, scanning the surroundings. Soon, it spotted the giant turtle directly ahead. Being an ancient serpent from Ryuchi Cave, Shinta instantly recognized the creature before him as Three-Tails Isobu. Though Isobu was one of the more mild-tempered Tailed Beasts, he was still a formidable adversary. From all signs, the opponent it faced this time was indeed the Three-Tails.
"Long time no see, Shinta."
Saitama's voice came from above. Shinta slowly raised its eyes, faintly seeing Saitama's figure. In fact, the moment it was summoned via the Summoning Contract, it sensed Saitama's aura and knew he stood atop it, yet greetings were an essential etiquette.
"Hiss... Saitama, you haven't summoned me since that time. I thought you had forgotten about me."
Shinta's voice was rough; every time it opened and closed its mouth, humid breath accompanied its words. Although its tone carried slight dissatisfaction, there was more excitement in it.
Saitama felt slightly embarrassed—for once since signing the Summoning Contract with Shinta, he was indeed summoning him into battle for the first time.
Previously, enemies either posed no challenge to him or were situations where Shinta wasn't suited to appear. But now, facing Yagura with his immense size and impenetrable defenses, he finally remembered the Boss Summon bond forged during his training in Sage Art.
"Mm... Not the time to talk about that. I need you to pin him down. You should know he's currently in the form of the Three-Tails, right? Right now, the host—the Jinchuriki—remains in control, not the beast itself."
Saitama briefly explained to Shinta, then gazed deeply at Yagura in front of them, eyes subtly revealing thoughts.
"This guy is Saitama Uchiha's Boss Summon?"
Across from them, Yagura narrowed his eyes, fixing his gaze on the crimson serpentine figure emerging into his sight. Feeling the surging Sage Chakra within its body and noticing its size, comparable to his own, unease rose in his heart.
This snake was different from Orochimaru's Boss Summon. It seemed even stronger, unlike any other force in the Shinobi World—an unknown entity entirely.
"Looks like I'll have to give it my all!"
