Chapter 27 - 27

"Liar! Unfollowing! I hope your whole family meets a bad end!"

"Can't you just focus on making good videos? All you think about is making money. Now you've had your comeuppance!"

"I used to like you so much, but I never thought you were this kind of person!"

I kept receiving private messages full of abuse. Thinking of Mr. Ma's gloating expression, I knew he didn't care at all about the consequences of me being cyberbullied. I wasn't sure if it was just my imagination, but during the break, I heard people whispering about me. When I looked over, they immediately lowered their heads and pretended to do their homework.

I couldn't concentrate on the class. All morning, I debated whether to delete my account and run away. I already had a stable source of income, and the best thing to do now was to avoid risks and prevent the situation from escalating further. But in the end, I decided to carry on.

I was tired of being hurt by false accusations. In my previous life, I couldn't figure out why I wasn't respected. I thought it was because I had no money or power. But I was wrong. It was my constant retreat that inflated their sense of superiority.

I replied to the anonymous comment: "First of all, the environments in the videos are all real. I filmed them right in my family's kitchen."

"My parents saved up money to buy me the phone as a birthday gift. I only fought back because you slandered me, saying I stole it."

"I deleted your comment because you posted my photo and exposed my personal information."

Shortly after I posted my reply, a bunch of comments from people claiming to be my "classmates" suddenly popped up: "Anyway, hitting a teacher is just wrong. Teachers work hard to educate you, and when they criticize you, it's for your own good. Can't you put yourself in their shoes?"

"This girl is in my class. She doesn't listen to class or do her homework. Those study notes must be copied from someone else."

"She used the money she scammed from others to buy a new computer."

My reply was quickly pushed down and buried, becoming impossible to find. Indeed, an alarm clock can't wake someone who's pretending to be asleep. No matter how simple the truth is, it's impossible to explain it to someone who refuses to listen.
