"Let's not waste his time," Marquis Dean grinned while glaring at the others. "Quickly, take the Grand Marquis to the special room prepared for him. And take the ladies in with him as well."
He smiled as the servants came forward. They approached Adrian's table and cleared it up. Eden was still leaning close to Adrian, who held him by the waist while staring into his eyes.
He was in an awkward position, especially with all the eyes on him. "My Lord, you can let go now..."
Adrian said nothing for a while but soon left Eden's waist.
His table was cleared, and Mr. Hugo approached him and helped him up to his feet. He staggered while struggling to stand still.
Eden simply stared at him from where he knelt. He couldn't help but take pity on him. He looked pathetic.
Eden couldn't help but pity the defenseless Adrian—the vulnerable patient who thought he had a trusted butler at his side to protect him, one who thought he had everything under control.
