Mancini's POV
I hadn't expected Marcus's company to be this large. I had seethed with envy from the time some ugly receptionist stopped us and made us wait. Then a security guard led us across many waiting rooms.
Finally, we were headed up to his supposed office in a lift.
Marie was fidgeting and running her hands down her skirt. If we weren't in public I would have quietened her with a slap across her face. The last thing I wanted was for her to distract me with her nonsense.
"I know you flirted with him. I haven't forgiven you for that," I said.
Her eyes widened as she looked up at me.
Her lips quivered as she tried to form the words to ask me who I was talking about.
She's just a slut.
Shameless enough not to know who I was talking about out of the many men she knew.
"From the dinner. The night you got drunk. I'm just going to let it go for now because meeting him is important to me."
