Chapter 27 - Chapter 27: Visitor from Another World — The Holy Necromancer!

"To grasp the sun and pluck the stars — there is none like me in this world. Who would've thought that even a sliver of my soul could survive!"

"Who!?"

A sudden unfamiliar voice startled Zhu Ziyang, nearly causing his meditation to backfire. He leapt up from his bed, summoning the World-Pacifying Scythe with a wary expression.

"Child, don't be afraid."

The aged voice returned, sensing Zhu Ziyang's high alert and speaking in a soothing tone.

"Who are you?"

Zhu Ziyang realized the voice didn't seem hostile but still remained guarded, questioning sharply.

"I am but a remnant soul—you have nothing to fear," the old voice answered, doing its best to ease Zhu Ziyang's suspicion.

"A remnant soul!"

Zhu Ziyang was shocked. If even a mere remnant had such clarity of thought, how powerful must the original being have been? He kept a calm demeanor and asked, "Where are you?"

"Hehe… I'm on you," the voice chuckled.

"In my sea of consciousness!"

Zhu Ziyang immediately understood, his face turning pale. "When did this happen?"

"Don't be afraid, child. I truly mean no harm," the old voice repeated anxiously, sensing Zhu Ziyang's renewed fear.

"I was drawn here by the energy disturbance when that little silver wolf offered itself. I truly bear no ill will."

Silver wolf? The Silver Dragon Wolf!

Zhu Ziyang instantly realized—it must have been the energy surge during the Silver Dragon Wolf's sacrifice that attracted this remnant soul.

Calculating internally, his eyes began to glow faintly with golden light.

In his vision, a pale golden flame flickered in the five-meter space around him.

This was the Eye of the Heart of Light—a talent granted by his extreme light attribute. It allowed him to sense the emotional alignment of any soul. Only those with goodwill appeared as golden flames.

Clearly, this mysterious remnant was telling the truth.

"Is that you?"

Zhu Ziyang's consciousness entered his spiritual sea, where he immediately saw a gray pearl and a silver diamond-shaped crystal floating above the sea. The voice was coming from the gray pearl.

"Yes, that's me," the gray pearl shimmered, happy to be trusted.

"Who are you?"

Zhu Ziyang asked curiously. From the pearl, he sensed both light and death energies—an unusual and intriguing combination.

"Who am I? It's been so long since someone asked that..."

The old voice responded with nostalgia and pride.

"My enemies called me Calamity. My followers called me God. My creations called me Father.

I am the Plague of the Undead, the Holy Necromancer — Electrolux!"

"Plague of the Undead? Holy Necromancer? Electrolux?"

Zhu Ziyang repeated the names, searching his memory. Nothing came up. None of them were recorded in any known history.

"Haha, don't bother trying. I do not belong to this world," Electrolux said, with a tone of melancholy and surprise.

"Another world!?"

Zhu Ziyang was stunned. He looked at the pearl with intense curiosity.

"There really are other worlds? So you're a god from another world?"

He remembered Electrolux calling himself a "god" earlier. If this truly was the remnant soul of a god, the knowledge and power he possessed would be unimaginable!

"God, huh?"

Electrolux chuckled, but his tone was tinged with regret.

"Sadly, I was just a coward who dared not take the final step. Not a true god."

"I see..."

Zhu Ziyang was a little disappointed, though not entirely surprised.

"But even so, your strength must have been immense—comparable to a Titled Douluo in our world. So how did you end up as just a remnant soul?"

"I don't remember," Electrolux replied, his tone uncertain.

"Honestly, had your powers not resonated with mine and allowed me to draw some energy, I would've already faded."

"Resonating powers!"

Zhu Ziyang caught the key detail—Electrolux likely also had light and death attributes.

"You possess both light and death attributes too?"

"Yes. But my death attribute was acquired later, unlike you, who was born with both." Electrolux confirmed.

"Hehe! Of course! I'm the bearer of Extreme Light!" Zhu Ziyang replied proudly.

"Extreme Light? In our world, such individuals are called Children of Light. Truly a gifted child," Electrolux said with a tone that was both admiring and complex.

Then he asked, "Child, would you be willing to become my disciple?"

"Huh?"

Zhu Ziyang was caught off guard. He hadn't expected this and didn't know how to respond.

"You may think I'm joking," Electrolux said seriously.

"Even as a remnant soul, my knowledge once rivaled that of a god. I may no longer be worthy of that title, but teaching a third-tier mage like yourself is more than within my power."

"Third-tier mage? Is that your world's system of cultivation?"

Zhu Ziyang asked, intrigued.

"Indeed," Electrolux replied.

"Though I don't understand your world's power systems, the elemental principles are the same. I can teach you Light Magic, Necromancy, and—most importantly—how to fuse light and death elements."

"You know how to fuse light and death attributes!?"

Zhu Ziyang's eyes lit up. This was exactly the problem he had been struggling with in mastering the World-Pacifying Scythe.

"Of course. I didn't earn the title of Holy Necromancer for nothing," Electrolux said proudly.

"My summoned undead can fully resist light-element attacks."

"Necromancy? What's that?"

Zhu Ziyang asked.

"You'll understand once you become my disciple," Electrolux replied.

"So, what do you say? Will you accept me as your teacher?"

Zhu Ziyang weighed the pros and cons for a long moment.

Finally, he made his decision and called out, "Teacher!"

"Good! Good! Good!"

Electrolux trembled with excitement, the gray pearl shaking with joy.

"Good child! You're Zhu Ziyang, yes? I'll call you Ziyang from now on. You'll become my proudest disciple!"

"Teacher, do you have other disciples?" Zhu Ziyang asked.

"I… might?" Electrolux sounded unsure.

"When will you teach me how to fuse light and death?"

Zhu Ziyang asked eagerly.

"Haha! So impatient!" Electrolux laughed warmly.

"I'd love to teach you right now, but I need to rest. I must stabilize my soul or I'll vanish."

"I understand, Teacher. You rest first—I can wait."

Zhu Ziyang nodded, slightly disappointed but fully understanding.

"Good child!" Electrolux praised.

"Give me no more than a year. I'll be awake again by then, and I'll teach you Light Magic and Necromancy. In the meantime, try practicing with light in one hand and death in the other."

"Yes, Teacher," Zhu Ziyang agreed.

"Good! Good! Good!" Electrolux echoed three times as his voice gradually faded and the gray pearl dimmed into silence.
