Damien, Magnus, and Xavier advanced on Alpha Ludwig like predators circling their prey. Ludwig flexed his shoulders and cracked his neck, smirking as his firm muscles began to expand.
"I've faced armies," Ludwig said deeply. "And you three think you can bring me down?" His amber eyes darted between them, taunting. "Come, then. Show me your worth…"
Magnus growled low in his throat. With a sudden burst of speed, he lunged forward, fist aimed directly at Ludwig's chest. Ludwig sidestepped at the last second and countered with a swift uppercut. Magnus barely blocked it, the force sending him sliding back several feet.
"Good," Ludwig said, sighing softly. "At least you're not completely useless after all."
"Let's see you handle this!" Xavier leaped high into the sky, twisting mid-flight to deliver a spinning kick to Ludwig's side. The Alpha caught Xavier's leg with one hand and flung him violently toward the ground.
"Xavier!" I screamed.
