Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 - Body Possession

As she sat alone in the room, she pondered over her current situation with her eyelids closed, maintaining a calm demeanor amidst the confusion.

And what exactly is she pondering about? Nothing major—just the small matter of how she's still alive. Or more precisely, how she managed to reincarnate for the third time after coming into contact with that thing.

I slowly open my eyes and scan my surroundings—again, for the third time since I arrived here.

"So... I guess this is my third life, right? And based on the memories I can access from this body, this place seems to be called Xianzhou Luofu."

Right. The one speaking is our protagonist: a beautiful girl with long black hair and striking red eyes that radiate an ethereal aura without her doing anything. Her name? Yun Yi.

She was a cultivator from the upper realms known as the Xuan Continent, widely recognized as a powerful individual. Her achievements in cultivation were once hailed as outstanding by many factions—both within and beyond her world.

But we're not here to tell that story.

This is the tale of her third life—one set in a dimension completely different from the previous two.

Let's quickly recap for the sake of understanding her journey.

In her first life, she lived as a normal girl in a modern world, untouched by anything supernatural. A girl who went to school, had friends, enjoyed various forms of entertainment, and occasionally played games.

In her second life, she was reincarnated into a cultivation world filled with strange phenomena—some supernatural, some not. It was an unforgiving place where strength meant everything and the strong trampled the weak.

Unfortunately, her journey in that life didn't start smoothly. She wasn't a genius who could learn everything quickly or possessed a ridiculous aptitude for cultivation. But her unyielding spirit never faltered. And as a reincarnated soul, she had the slight advantage of modern knowledge and a broader perspective.

So, she began her cultivation path early—hoping to secure a foundation in that brutal world.

Long story short: she succeeded.

Now, back to her third life...

"Luofu...? I think I've heard that name before... but where?" Yun Yi thought deeply, trying to recall its origin.

"Could it be...? The place that was leaked in the latest update of Honkai: Star Rail? If that's true... then does this count as transmigration and reincarnation?" Yun Yi mused, trying to process the nature of this new world.

Back when she died, Honkai: Star Rail hadn't yet reached Luofu, so she knew nothing about this place beyond Jarilo.

She glanced at her hand and thought, I already know this... but the feeling of losing my power still stings. So weak...

She clenched her fists. But... this might not be so bad. It's a chance to become even more powerful than before.

And this time, the process might be smoother. I've already gone through it once—unlike the first time, when I had to learn everything from scratch.

Yun Yi looked at her palms and focused, trying to manifest something.

As expected, she still retained one of her abilities—one that depended on her understanding of world concepts rather than raw cultivation power. A faint purple glow began to emanate from her palm.

"My conceptual understanding... although it's pitifully weak right now, I can still release it," Yun Yi muttered. "But it's useless without a cultivation base. I can't properly control or mobilize it."

With a slightly disappointed expression, she withdrew the glow.

"Let's focus on something else for now. This body is too weak. I can't start cultivating in this condition. First... I need to train it."

Yun Yi began planning how to improve her body to a state that could handle cultivation once more.
