Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 – A Green Hurricane and a Gray Cloud

🌌 Nightfall – Hidden Cellar, Masaki's Training Base

Masaki stood at the center of the room, hands forming a complex sequence of seals. Chakra bled from his fingers, not outward—but inward, muffling the air around him like a thick velvet curtain.

> Technique Created: Silent Bloom Field [Lv. 1]

A chakra suppression field that hides minor activity and muffles chakra pulses. Radius: 10m.

Note: Increases stealth passively while inside.

He wiped sweat from his brow.

"Okay. ROOT-proof. Mostly. I think."

From across the room, Obito clapped, but the sound barely made a whisper.

"Whoa! It's like the world has earplugs!"

Masaki smiled. "That's the point. Now we can train without Danzo's paranoia sniffing us out."

From outside came a voice—loud, enthusiastic, and entirely uninvited:

"OH YOUTHFUL MA—AAAAAAAAAH!"

CRASH.

Masaki ran to the trapdoor and opened it to find a boy in green leg warmers dangling upside down, having tripped into a rain barrel.

"WHO DARES TO INTERFERE WITH THE FLAMES OF YOUTH!?"

Masaki blinked. "...Is that a human yell?"

Obito squinted. "No, that's Might Guy."

☀️ The Day Before – Ninja Academy Courtyard

Masaki had noticed him before. Guy was loud, wildly energetic, and utterly… hopeless at ninjutsu. Everyone laughed when he tried clone jutsu. The clones often looked like melting potatoes.

But in sparring matches, something changed. When Guy moved, he was fast. Wild, but fast. And when he got serious, even the chunin teacher had to block with both arms.

Masaki watched him for two days. Then quietly left a sealed note on his desk.

> "Strength isn't in how you start. It's in how far you're willing to go. Come to Training Ground 6 tonight. Knock once. Enter loud."

📅 Back to Present – Cellar HQ

Guy now stood, dripping wet but smiling wildly.

"I, Might Guy, have heard your call! I will burn with the fire of youth under your tutelage!"

Obito leaned toward Masaki and whispered, "We sure about this guy? He just high-fived a wall."

"I'm sure," Masaki said simply. "He has heart. And speed."

Then aloud: "Guy. I'll teach you. But it won't be easy. You'll need to train harder than anyone else, stay quiet when others talk loud, and never give up—no matter how dumb you look."

Guy's fists clenched, eyes welling with tears. "Masaki-sensei… I accept this Spartan contract of BLOOD, SWEAT, and INSPIRATIONAL POETRY!"

Masaki winced. "No poetry."

⚔️ Earlier That Morning – Ninja Academy Track Field

Kakashi stared as Obito sprinted past him. Again.

He'd been keeping pace the whole time—until now.

Obito turned back with a smug grin. "Better pick it up, White Fang Jr."

Kakashi's eyebrow twitched.

"You've improved. Rapidly. That's not normal."

Obito shrugged, "Maybe I just found a better teacher."

Kakashi's hands clenched, not into fists—into seals. "Want to prove it?"

Obito smirked. "Sure."

Within seconds, they were surrounded by a half-dozen fake "injury-prone" classmates acting as spectators. Masaki watched from the roof with a piece of toast.

Kakashi opened with a blur—a sliding leg sweep followed by a rapid jab.

Obito caught the sweep with his ankle, stumbled on the jab—but recovered fast with a duck and a palm strike aimed at Kakashi's ribs.

Contact.

Kakashi stepped back. Not hurt. But surprised.

He landed that.

Obito grinned. "You hesitated. You've been fighting adults too long."

Kakashi frowned. "You're hiding something."

"And you're trying to figure it out before you lose again."

Masaki smiled. Now this… this is progress.
