"How?"
"It contains all the healing ingredients except for one. And that one ingredient is always present in a less amount so it's hard to find it's absence. An ordinary healer can't find it. Take it as if it is only one percent of the entire medicine. But it's as important as other ingredients. And in the exchange of this ingredient, there is a poisonous ingredient in it. In the same amount. This poisonous ingredient is really hard to find or buy as it's very costly and seasonal plant. And it's very hard to find it's presence in any medicine or food. It's tasteless, odourless and colourless. That's why it took me so long to find it." Chiron explained.
'Why all the evidence are pointing towards him? As Mr. Chiron said ,It's very costly. It means only nobel or a royal family member can buy it.' Raksheet thought and took a deep breath 'Wait. It's not proved that he is the culprit. I still need more evidence. I can't accuse him like this.'
Raksheet came out of his thoughts and asked "You said it's a seasonal plant. What kind of season? Where can we find it?"
"Basically, this plant grows in cool temperature with sufficient sunlight. In the autumn season. But not in every kingdom or part of the world. It need a steady temperature, not too hot. Not too cold. Not too rainy. The kingdoms in Dhrattak empire where you can easily find them is Pravaat kingdom and Bayar kingdom."
Raksheet's eyes widened when Chiron mentioned Bayar kingdom. "B-Bayar kingdom?"
Chiron nod "Yes, Bayar kingdom. As you know, how Jwalana is famous for its medical supplies accross the Dhrattak empire, Bayar is famous for its poisonous and illegal weapon supplies. But because Bayar submits high taxes and he supplies those poison and weapons very carefully and secretly so that no one can find out and accuse them even if entire empire know about it, no one can question Bayar."
Raksheet nod thoughtfully and asked "And.....only rich people can buy it as it's so costly you say."
"Yes, your majesty. It's too costly because no one can detect it's presence. Most of the time a kingdom used to use it to kill their enemy without anyone suspecting them and accusing them as it was very hard to detect it. But once it came infront of emperor that there is a poison which is very hard to detect and can easily kill someone slowly without leaving any trace and symptoms, his majesty the emperor forbidded every kingdom from using this poison. At that time, not many people knew about this poison. But even if it was banned, it is still selled in black market at high price. Only a nobel or someone on good position can buy it."
"Does Pravaat kingdom also sell this poison?"
Chiron immediately shook his head "No no, your majesty. Pravaat kingdom has stopped using it since the time emperor banned its use. They have good reputation in empire. I don't think they still sell it in black market or anywhere else."
"Hm.....fine." he said and looked at Chiron "Thank you so much. You did a great job. Please be careful that this matter should not be mentioned out of this office. You can leave now."
"As you say your majesty." Chiron took out a small bottle of liquid medicine and placed it on the table. "Your majesty, please give this medicine to his majesty Viraaj. It will purify his blood and remove the poison from his body." He said.
Raksheet took the bottle and replied "Ok, thank you."
After that, Chiron stood up and left the office.
Raksheet leaned back on his chair and sighed harshly. He closed his eyes and massaged his head as it was hurting because of all the mess he is dealing with. He don't know whether to announce that person a traitor or not. If he did, the situation will get more complicated. As Ira have requested him to allow her to give a capital punishment to that intruder. If she got to know that the intruder is someone from their own family, it may break her heart and that traitor would might ask for more evidence to prove him guilty. He have to find more strong evidence, especially an eye witness who have seen that traitor messing with Viraaj's medicine.
'Only Bayar is the kingdom who have this poison and still selling it in black market. It means, someone in our palace is working for Bayar. He brought the poison from Bayar and made these fake medicines. Is it possible that the traitor is helping Bayar- No no, that can't be. I don't think he have ever met Abel or anyone from Bayar. Could it be that they met in my coronation? But why would he do that to our own family? And why would Bayar try to hurt his majesty? They have nothing to do with each other....There is something big going on. I need to find out it as soon as possible. It's too complected as well as disastrous.' Raksheet thought. He opened his eyes and sat straight. He called the soldier standing outside his office and ordered him to summon Vikram immediately.
Vikram entered in Raksheet's office and sat down infront of him.
Raksheet leaned forward on the table with a serious look "Vikram, I have a big mission for you. You have to go to Aaro and spy on someone."
Vikram instantly understood what Raksheet is saying. He immediately agreed to do as Raksheet is saying but he had a request. "Your majesty, i know what you are saying. And I am willing to do it. But there is a problem. That person have already seen me in Jwalana palace. To spy on him, I have to enter in Aaro palace. But as he have already seen me, he will suspect on me if he see me there."
"Then what should we do?"
"If you don't mind, i suggest you to send someone else in Aaro palace to spy on him. I will also go with him. I will spy on him outside the palace to know where he goes and who he meet. And that other person will spy on him inside the palace. If we have to find more evidence as soon as possible to save his majesty's life, we have to work more. We have to keep an eye on him all the time."
The traitor is the person Viraaj lives with. So it would be hard to protect him from that traitor without any strong evidence. If Raksheet want to save Viraaj, he have to find many evidence that will trap that traitor so that he can not deny his crime.
Raksheet nod in agreement as Vikram's suggestion is valid and seem effective. "Ok. We will go with your plan. Select a spy you will bring to Aaro with you and start preparing to leave. Remember, I want every information of each day. Send me the Information every day. We can't afford any loss or mistake in this matter."
At night, after having dinner, Raksheet was waiting for Ira in their chamber. At first, He didn't wanted to tell her about the poison in those medicines but later, he decided to tell her. He can't hide it more. She is asking about it every time they meet. If she found out it later from someone else, it may affect their relationship and trust on each other.
"At least I should tell her about the medicine. How will she react?" Raksheet said to himself, standing in the balcony and looking at the starry night.
While he was in his deep thoughts, thinking every possible ways Ira will react, Cry, anger, shock, Ira entered in the chamber. She closed the door and the click sound of door closing, catched Raksheet's attention.
He turned around and saw his wife walking towards the dressing table. She smiled at him when their eyes met.
"Watching stars?" She asked Raksheet while removing her jwellery.
Raksheet smiled bitterly and nod, thinking how his wife's sweet smile will disappear because of the bad news he is about to give her.
"How was your day?" She asked.
Raksheet stepped in the chamber and closed the balcony door. He walked towards Ira and hugged her from behind.
"Not so good."
Ira was surprised that Raksheet is complaining about his day. Usually he never says that his day was bad or he is tired. But today, he is expressing his feelings.
She looked at him through the mirror and asked "What happened? Are you tired? May be you are working a lot these days. Take a break." She caressed his cheeks to make him feel good.
Raksheet closed his eyes to feel that soft touch of his wife. He took a deep breath, preparing himself to tell the bad news.
"I have a bad news." He said and opened his eyes to look at Ira's expression.
She stopped caressing his cheeks and looked confused "What bad news?"
Raksheet broke the hug and took Ira towards the bed. He made her sit on the bed and held her shoulders. "Princess, you have to be strong. Don't be weak. We have to face this together."
Ira had a bad feeling about whatever Raksheet is going to tell. "W-What are you talking about? Please Raksheet, be clear."
He held her hand "Princess, the medicine we sent to Mr. Chiron to check. Today, He came with the result."
