Chapter 111 - Marriage proposal from enemy

"Don't scold him. He was worried for you." Cabail said and patted Ankush's back. "It's fine, you didn't meant to anger him. He forgave you."

Ankush looked up at Agastya and asked "Really?"

Agastya stopped drinking water and looked away. He breathed deeply and nod.

Ankush suddenly hugged him, making some water fall on them. "Thank you!"

Agastya laughed and patted his back. They broke the hug and Cabail asked. "Why are you here? Did something happened?"

Agastya nod and put the glass down. "Yes, Today, Ankush saw king Dhishva dragging Veer in his chamber. He was angry and they stayed in his chamber for long time. And Veer entered in his majesty Viraaj's chamber. I am sure he did something in his chamber so I asked Ajit to throw his medicines away and search his chamber carefully."

Cabail thought for a while and sighed "That's it?"

Agastya nod "That's it."

"We don't know what exactly happened so we can't conclude anything. Let's continue our mission as it is. Pay more attention on Veer and king Dhishva. Try to know what happened between them. As for this information, I will send the message tomorrow morning."

"Alright." Agastya replied and stood up. "We are leaving then." Following him, Ankush and Cabail stood up too.

"Take care. Go home safely." Cabail said.

As they left his house, On their way; Agastya said "You shouldn't have followed me."

Ankush looked at him and said "You said you forgave me. Then why are you talking about it again?"

"Yes, I did forgive you but still, you shouldn't have disobeyed me. Next time, don't do that again."

Ankush sighed lazily but nod reluctantly, not wanting to argue more "Fine."

Agastya rubbed Ankush's head and smiled "By the way, you look cute when you apologize."

Ankush brushed his hand off and said "Are you crazy? I am not cute."

"Fine, if you say so." Agastya replied and laughed silently to see the annoyed look on his face.

"Stop laughing! It's not funny." Ankush yelled and started walking fast, leaving Agastya behind still laughing.

Next day. When a maid was bringing breakfast for Viraaj, Dhishva suddenly came and took the plate.

"Give it to me. I will serve him breakfast." He ordered.

The maid quietly left from there after giving the tray to Dhishva.

Dhishva looked around carefully to confirm that no one is there and no one is watching him. He then took out a small packet of yellow powder and sprinkled the powder on the food and mixed some in juice. He put the empty packet in his pocket and again looked around.

He then looked at the food and sighed deeply. His heart was aching to do such a thing to his own father but the thought of seeing his beloved son dead is making him shiver in fear. He will choose his son who will be his support in future rather than choosing his father who will abandon him if he have to choose between him and Ira.

With heavy heart and shaky legs, he walked towards Viraaj's chamber. He knocked on the door and Viraaj looked at him.

Viraaj smiled brightly to see his son in early morning and signalled him with his hands to come inside.

"Dhishva! come come. What are you doing here in such a early morning?"

Dhishva's breath hitched for a moment and his eyes burned to cry but he controlled it. He controlled it for the sake of his son's life.

He smiled widely and stepped inside "I brought you your breakfast."

Viraaj removed the comforter away and patted the space beside him. "Come, sit here. Thank you so much for bringing my breakfast to my chamber. Let's eat together."

Dhishva placed the tray infront of Viraaj on table and replied "I have already had my breakfast. I can't over eat."

"So early?" Viraaj asked.

Dhishva nod, avoiding eye contact in guilt "I have some work so I have to leave early. I just came to see you. How are you?"

Viraaj nod and grabbed the spoon to eat his breakfast. "I am good. If you come to meet me like this every morning, I will recover soon." He smiled and started eating.

As soon as Viraaj took the bite of that poisonous food, Dhishva's hand fisted on bedsheet tightly. He wanted to stop Viraaj from eating it but it's too late. He want to run away and cry, cry in guilt and feeling helpless.

He tried to control his emotions and said "I should leave now. Take care of yourself."

"Fine. Come back soon. We will have dinner together." Viraaj said and smiled warmly at his son, not knowing that his son is killing him slowly.

Dhishva felt something heavy placed on his chest after hearing his father. But he managed to smile and stood up. "Alright." He replied and quickly left from there.

He covered his mouth with his hand, not wanting to sob or make any sound and ran towards his chamber. He closed the door and leaned against it, crying hardly; he slowly sat down on the floor.

"I am sorry!" He said "I am really sorry father! I am so sorry." He cried hardly that he can feel pain in his chest.

Not wanting to fall sick or weak by crying like this, he wiped the tears from his eyes and tried to stand up. With slow sobs, he walked towards his bathroom and washed his face. But when he splashed the water on his face, tears again fell from his eyes and he sat down on floor, feeling weak in his knees in fear and guilt.

In Jwalana...

Raksheet knocked on the door of meeting hall.

Ashwant shifted his gaze from the letter he was reading to Raksheet and said "Come inside."

Raksheet stepped inside the hall and sat down on the chair infront of Ashwant. "You called me father?"

Ashwant nod with serious expression and sighed deeply. "I wanted to talk to you."

"About what?"

Ashwant passed the letter to Raksheet and waited for him to read it completely.

"What?! Are they out of their mind?" Raksheet exclaimed in displeased voice "They know I have a wife and I love her a lot and I will never marry anyone. Not Seya at all. Still they sent this stupid proposal?"

Ashwant leaned forward and said "They want to end the enmity and for that, they want you to marry Seya because she love you."

"She want to be my second wife? Or she want to be the Queen? And if she want it, tell her she can't. Because Ira is my first wife and I will love her only. She will be my Queen. I will never love anyone else and will never spend my time with anyone except her. Doesn't matter if my second wife is a king's daughter." Raksheet said bluntly. He don't want anyone to think that he will marry Seya and accept her to end this enmity.

In kitchen, Ira was filling a plate with the sweets she made for Raksheet.

"It smells good." Advika commented. "His majesty will love it."

Ira smiled "I hope so too. He was upset that you forbade him from eating sweets. So I thought to cook something for him. To make him happy."

Advika laughed and replied "I wanted to test his patience. He is a patient person but about sweet, he is too impatient. But he passed this time. And he is getting reward too."

Ira looked at her confused and asked "What reward?"

Advika pointed towards the plate Ira was holding and said "Reward of eating the sweets you cooked for him."

Ira smiled shyly and nod "Yes." She placed the plate in a tray "I should leave. He must be waiting for his sweets."

Advika nod and Ira left from there. She asked a soldier about Raksheet and he informed that he is in meeting hall with Ashwant. She thought to give some sweets to Ashwant too so she went towards meeting hall.

As soon as she reached the meeting hall, she heard Raksheet and Ashwant talking about something and it seems serious.
