Chapter 13 - Chapter 14: It Begins-Entering Forbidden Zone #2

(Important Chapter: Contains major worldbuilding—please read carefully.)

In the original storyline, the T-Virus antidote was always hidden on Dr. Isaacs.

That guy was the ultimate boss of the Resident Evil world.

He was the one who released the T-Virus and allowed it to spread across the globe, single-handedly plunging the world into chaos.

He was the mastermind behind the apocalypse.

And Dr. Isaacs wasn't just a scientist—he was a powerful mutant.

During the final battle for the antidote, even the protagonist, Alice, was completely overpowered by him and nearly lost her life.

If not for her plot armor, she would've failed miserably.

Fortunately, she was the chosen one.

In the end, she succeeded in saving the world.

But if it had been an ordinary person?

Even if they knew the plot inside and out, prying the antidote from Isaacs would be practically impossible.

Because Isaacs wasn't just strong—he commanded hordes of mutated creatures and had one incredibly dangerous subordinate:

Albert Wesker.

The final boss from Resident Evil 4, another superpowered mutant. He could wipe out normal people with his bare hands.

So yeah.

For regular people, taking the serum from Isaacs was an absurdly difficult mission.

But Vincent Tan wasn't a regular person…

Name: Vincent TanSpecies: HumanPhysique: 209Spirit: 19Strength: 211Agility: 201Bloodline: Saitama's Physique (Awakened)

After more than two months of continuous training, Vincent's stats had exploded. Aside from his Spirit, every attribute was now over 20 times stronger than a normal human.

He was confident. If he fought Isaacs now, he might just win.

And he still had a full month to grow even stronger.

That's right.

Vincent had already decided. He was going to walk the same path as Alice and take on the most difficult challenge—Mission Option 3: Save the World.

Technically, he didn't have to take such a huge risk.

With three years of steady training, he would eventually become invincible.

But Professor Zhou's lecture on the third mission and its unknown reward had completely shaken him.

If that reward turned out to be something like a flight-type ability, wouldn't that fill the biggest gap in Vincent's toolkit?

Even if it wasn't, who wouldn't want more innate powers?

Which is why, even if it was dangerous, he was going to take the gamble.

Back in the classroom, Professor Zhou continued lecturing at the podium.

"Now, let's put aside the third mission. It's not something you should even consider. Let's talk about how to choose between the other two options."

"My personal recommendation is to go with Mission 1."

"Mission 2 requires finding and rescuing survivors, which is extremely difficult in a post-apocalyptic environment. Survivors are rare and hard to find—let alone save."

"Meanwhile, zombies are everywhere. If you can just conquer your fear, taking down zombies alone will earn you solid rewards."

Vincent, however, was no longer paying attention.

In terms of understanding Forbidden Zone #2, no one in this world could possibly rival him.

"If Zone #1 is One Punch Man, and Zone #2 is Resident Evil, then what about the rest? Could they all be fictional worlds I'm familiar with?"

"In this world, anime, comics, and games like those don't even exist. That means no one here has any prior knowledge of these zones—they're groping in the dark."

"But not me. I know the entire storyline."

"If my theory is correct, then that means I'll always be several steps ahead in every Forbidden Zone. I'll be unstoppable… no, I'll be a god."

The thought alone made Vincent's blood surge with excitement.

Time flew by.

A full month passed.

During this time, the instructors taught the freshmen many new concepts, most of which were centered around survival in Forbidden Zone #2.

They also underwent rigorous physical training and even learned how to handle firearms, including target practice.

All of it was to prepare them for what was to come.

By the end of the month, the new students had transformed—some even looked reborn.

Vincent, naturally, had grown even more terrifying.

His strength stat had finally broken through the 300 mark.

Saitama's physique was beyond overpowered.

As long as he kept training, his attributes improved every single day.

He had secretly tested himself multiple times.

With a single punch, he could now unleash more than a ton of force.

His destructive capability was insane.

He could punch through a centimeter-thick steel plate like it was paper.

And it wasn't just strength.

His physique and agility were both approaching 300 as well.

Physique represented vitality and durability—essentially his defense.

Right now, the density of his muscles was so high, even ordinary bullets couldn't pierce his skin.

(Excluding high-caliber rounds…)

Agility represented movement speed and reflexes.

Vincent had secretly tested his sprinting too.

At full speed—

He could finish 100 meters in just 3.62 seconds.

He was faster than a cheetah.

One month of brutal training had come to an end.

What came next…

Was their first real adventure.

Their journey into Forbidden Zone #2… was about to begin.
