Chapter 95 - Chapter 95: A Reverse One-Push? This Is Too Intense!

"His flames… there's something strange about them."

Inside Regal Academy's waiting room, the leading girl spoke calmly. "Ordinary fire shouldn't have such overwhelming damage. Plus, his flames seem to have explosive properties."

The others around her fell into thoughtful silence.

"Is there any hero from Zone 1 who uses fire?" someone asked.

"No," another student shook his head. "But I heard that Vincent Fox's flame ability was something he accidentally acquired from Zone 2."

"Oh? Is that so? He completed the most difficult third mission?"

"No, it was the first mission, but he got the highest possible evaluation!"

"If Godslayer Academy loses this match, this guy will become our biggest opponent."

"…We need to start thinking. If we face War Saint Academy, what strategy should we use?"

"Actually, the rest of War Saint Academy's team isn't worth worrying about. It's just this guy who's tricky."

"Exactly! As long as we can stall him, winning won't be difficult."

The Regal Academy team continued their analysis.

The leading girl said, "Keep watching the match carefully. If Godslayer Academy loses, we must learn from their mistake!"

Inside the canyon.

The Godslayer Academy team still had no idea they were already being used as a cautionary example.

"Damn it! What just happened? Shane, how did you get one-shotted like that?"

The newly revived Carter Brooks growled unhappily.

He had worked so hard to create an opportunity, only for his teammates to get instantly wiped out.

Shane Farris stayed silent under Carter's questioning.

In fact, even Shane himself had no idea how he had been killed so quickly.

"Say something! Shane, what the hell happened just now?" Carter pressed.

"What do you want me to say?" Shane sighed helplessly. "All I know is that his speed was faster than mine, and the burst damage he unleashed was insane. I didn't even have time to use my ultimate move. He just killed me in a flash."

Hiss!

The rest of the team gasped.

"Impossible!" teammate Henry Wang argued. "His flame damage is that high? He must have maxed out his mental stats. How could he have enough extra points to boost his speed too?"

Sun Yonghao added, "But from what I saw, he didn't even move. You charged in and exploded on the spot… maybe it's not about his speed. Maybe his fire ability is just really strange!"

"Forget it. This isn't the time to argue!" William Yi spoke up. "We need to focus on how to win this match."

Everyone fell silent for a moment.

Then Sun Yonghao said, "We have to admit, that guy is really strong. If we don't hold him down, we'll be in big trouble."

Shane Farris nodded. "Old Sun is right. Here's the plan: William and Carter, you two will go to the mid-lane and stall him. You don't need to kill him, just keep him occupied!"

"Old Sun, you guard the top lane. I'll team up with Henry and push the bottom lane!"

Shane truly lived up to his role as captain. He quickly came up with a new strategy.

"Don't worry, they're just from some bottom-tier academy. Aside from that guy, the rest of their team isn't worth mentioning!" Shane encouraged his team.

Everyone silently nodded. No one objected.

His plan made sense.

Carter had top-tier defense and could withstand some of Vincent's attacks, while William was a ranged attacker.

The two of them working together should be able to hold the lane and clear minions.

Shane and Henry, both high-damage players, would be perfect for aggressively attacking the enemy.

"Since no one disagrees, let's move!" Shane commanded.

The Godslayer Academy team sprang into action.

But no matter how carefully they planned, they never expected that War Saint Academy would also switch formations…

"You guys, all meet at mid-lane!!"

Vincent's voice suddenly came through the team's communicator.

Hearing this, everyone from War Saint Academy was startled.

"Vincent, are they launching another full-on assault in mid-lane?" Autumn Summer asked urgently.

"No! They've already failed once. Do you really think they won't learn their lesson? They definitely switched tactics."

"Then what's your plan…?"

"Simple. Since they came at us with a one-push, let's return the favor!" Vincent grinned. "Let's give them a reverse one-push and catch them completely off guard!"

In fact…

Vincent made this decision for several reasons.

Surprise was just one of them.

His real concern was that if Godslayer Academy launched a strong attack on another lane, Autumn Summer's team wouldn't be able to hold the defense.

After all, the overall strength of War Saint Academy's team, except for Vincent, was definitely weaker than Godslayer Academy's.

Even Autumn Summer, without a hero inheritance, was much weaker than her opponents.

If Godslayer Academy went for a hard push on another lane…

Autumn and the others would probably be unable to defend.

So Vincent had to adapt.

Being on the defensive wasn't his style!

"I understand…" Autumn Summer was smart. She quickly pieced together Vincent's reasoning.

Of course, she was more than willing to follow Vincent's lead.

The others also rushed to mid-lane.

Outside the canyon.

As soon as the commentator saw Godslayer Academy's strategic adjustment, his voice rang out.

"Just as expected, Godslayer Academy has switched strategies. Vincent Fox's mid-lane is just too strong. If they kept pressing, they would probably fail again. Changing tactics was inevitable."

"We can see that Godslayer Academy's formation has split into three lanes. They've sent two players to mid-lane, probably just to stall Vincent Fox… Clearly, Vincent's power has forced even Godslayer Academy's prodigies to commit two players just to hold him back."

"Their captain has gone to the bottom lane. Their new offensive push should focus on that side."

"This isn't the most creative strategy, but it's certainly a reasonable one."

But then.

The commentator suddenly let out a shocked gasp.

"Ah! Look at War Saint Academy! They're adjusting their formation too… All of them are moving toward mid-lane!"

"Oh my god, are they planning to launch their own one-push against Godslayer Academy?"

"This… this is just… too intense!"
