"I returned to the house after disposing of the beast off a cliff, and talked to Trevorousis for three hours,explaining what happened. "I just… I feel like I could be a danger to you and Ala if I stay here. Trevorousis stared straight ahead as still as a statue. Finally after an extremely long pause he spoke. "You protected my wife from certain doom." After a brief pause Trevorousis turns and looks at Gast; "if anything is to be forgiven, it would be myself for not being there for her." Trevorousis looks ahead at the faint glow of the sun peeking out in the distance and remarks "I only wish I could do more for you, my dear friend." Three Weeks Later…
"Are you certain of this?" A bearded man asks at a roundtable surrounded by high officials and leaders of the village. "Yes" Ala says. "I believe my husband poses a risk to this entire village, and I am certain of his witchcraft." THAT'S PREPOSTEROUS! one of the men shouts, I have known Trevorousis for years! He would never do anything to harm ANYONE, let alone the entire village!" "If Ala has proof then Trevorousis must be arrested and put to death!" "We don't even know if this evidence is factual!" "ENOUGH!" The shouting subsides as everyone looks to the bearded man." We will declare our votes on the judgment of Trevorousis in 12 days." "But my lord, why wait? This could endanger our existence if not resolved!" Ala cuts in "I have damning evidence of witchcraft against my husband, but give me 12 days and I will also have evidence of treason and thievery." Hushed murmurs and whispers fill the room. "This council is adjourned until twelve days from now; where we will vote on the verdict of Trevorousis." "Hey, have you seen Ala?" Trevorousis asks while walking into their bedroom. "No I haven't" Gast remarks before floating towards the door; "I'll go look for her." Before Gast can leave however, three men break down the door, swords drawn. "Trevorousis the 2nd! You are under arrest for witchcraft!" "Wha…?" Before he can respond, Trevorousis is slammed to the ground face first and put in shackles. Gast floats towards one of the guards,, but Trevorousis stares into his eyes and shakes his head. All he can do is watch as his only friend is taken away. Gast floats aimlessly possessing the body of one of the men he saw take Trevorousis away, looking for Ala to explain the predicament to her, and hopefully exonerate his friend. "Where could she be?" "I have to find her before it's too late!" " Charlie looks up, calmer. "So what happened? Did you save him? Gast looks directly into Charlie's eyes and blankly responds: "no." "Well? Are you going to tell me what happened?" Gast pauses and says "Well you seem calmer now, so another time perhaps. Charlie gets to his feet; "you are really an asshole you know that?" Before adding but you're my asshole he says with a grin. Suddenly siren sounds ring out. "Crap! We need to go!" Charlie begins to run but pauses and looks back. "I promise; I WILL avenge you, and stop the people responsible!" He then turns and runs into the distant sunset.
