Flying on top of the metal disk Gu Zhi got to see just how big the world truly was. When he saw the world from just a map of his country it did little to make him realize the size of the world.
From end to end he saw lush forests, great plains, big mountains, flowing rivers, wide lakes, mini deserts and more. From start to finish their was both big and little civilizations. Small villages scattered roads, ghost towns, abandoned cities, and more. He saw huge metropolises, giant three dimensional cities, cities focused just on top of a mountain, along a river, and he even spotted one in the clouds from a glance. So many different cities with a sprawling untamed wilderness to boot. What's crazy is these were commonly referred as tamed lands, there were places outside of Yangoo were their was no civilization and dense forest, or jungles controlled by strong beasts that roamed the land.
The cities always seemed to follow the water however as they were always next to lakes, rivers, snow, or clouds. There were no cities in the desert after all and even if there were, they were always centered around an oasis.
The disk Gu Zhi was standing on was had interesting intricate carvings on to it. The older Gu Zhi grew the more he had an appreciation for small details. There were murals depicting the crafting of the disk inscribed on the very disk. He thought it amusing considering they had to craft an image of them crafting it while crafting it at the same time. There was also writings depicting what it was and what it did. It was called the sky soaring disk, a very appropriate name if Gu Zhi had to judge.
They eventually had to stop at the nearest city when it was growing dark on the first day. They had a very small tour before elder Ming brought them to a hotel to stay for the night. Gu Zhi and Gu Xiao got one room while elder Ming got another. Due to Gu Xiao and Gu Zhi dual cultivating non-stop for three years they had to learn again how to live without dual cultivating. It was impossible for both of them however as they couldn't sleep while being horney. The two dual cultivated for 3 hours and went to bed. That was already considered very short but to elder Ming it certainly wasn't.
"I thought I told you guys to keep your dual cultivating to a minimum. it's very hard not to notice when you make the walls creak".
They said nothing obviously trying not to talk about the subject as they made their way back onto the journey. The cycle repeated itself as Gu Zhi smelled the clean fresh air from atop the sky soaring disk watching the landscape go by in amusement. When night came it was always a new city to stop at. They were all different, molded by the particular landscape and geography were they were settled. Some cities were on top of lakes, some were inside of mountains, some along the whole coastline of a river, using it as fresh water, food and transportation.
With the days passing the journey came to the end as they arrived at their destination. It was a random remote clearing in a forest to the very far north of Yangoo, sprawled across the clearing was tents of various sizes with a large flying objects in the air. From majestic ships, with sails and rooms, showing off luxury and comfort. To flying griffins and various flying animals with riders atop them. To more obscure flying tools such as puppets, scissors, swords, and disks. Everyone seemed to have their own unique flying tool. The only ones that stood out were a flying temple, a luxurious ship, and a massive giant with a small city strapped to its back like a back pack. It's breath created winds and it shook the earth when it walked. If you looked close enough you could tell it was made out, grass, trees, earth, and stone. It was technically a golem more than a real giant.
"Those are from foreign big sects, lets go meet with all the people who will participate from the flying wind sect".
They landed next to some tents with the sect banner on them, it depicted a wing with wind around it.
"Elder Ming you made it. Good it seems the Gu clan is finally here, I've heard many things about the Gu clan couple who will be participating".
"Yes, I'm sure you have elder Shui. As you know the Feng clan will always produce good results" elder Ming said.
"Haha, We will try, the Feng clan isn't known for there prowess in dual cultivation however."
Elder Feng looked like a young girl in her twenties with long black hair, a very balanced physique, and very deft movements. The Feng clan was also the founding clan of the sect, usually they rarely had public appearances in the sect. But it would seem like the palace of eternal love was just that important bringing out this old ruling class from their caves.
"Come let me show you your brothers and sisters who will be competing together with you."
She then led them deeper in the camp where they met the Feng couple and the Li couple.
"This is Feng Hao and Feng Qiu, this is Li Chen and Li Lan".
"It's nice to meet you, I'm Gu Zhi and this is my wife Gu Xiao".
They exchanged pleasantries as the group was given a brief meeting.
