As we walked up the stairs, I could hear the chatter and laughter of our moms, but all I could focus on was... how? How is she doing this? Isn't this the same girl who was wailing her eyes out a few hours ago? Then, how is she so happy? As she turned back to check if I was still following her, I saw it - her smile that could fill a room with joy, break curses literally. Well, that was just how it felt, so beautiful. How can one's smile be so beautiful?
"Your smile... it's fake." She stopped, dragged me into my room, and said, "How could you tell?" As we sat down, in my thoughts, I said to myself, maybe it's because I've been bullied, picked on, and alone, that I could tell that her eyes carried the pain and fear of helplessness. Those were my thoughts, but what came out of my mouth was, "Your eyes were prettier when you were crying."
Aria was stunned as she looked at me. Our eyes met as she laughed like she was freed from a shackle. Amidst all the laughter, all I could say was, "Now that was the closest thing to a real smile you've had all night." Then she said, "Oh, we haven't properly introduced ourselves," as if to avoid my statement. I played along with it. "Okay, my name is Kaid Richard, and I'm a 4th grader."
Wait, what???? That means you're seven years old! I wailed my eyes out to a seven-year-old kid!! "What, who are you calling 'a kid'? You're a kid yourself!" Aria stood up and said, "I guess it's time for my introduction. My name is Aria Sapphir, and I'm a 5th grader, and I'm 11years old. Kid!" (Humph). Wwwwwwaaaahhh!!? You're lying! How can a 6th grader be so... modest?
"Humu humu," I'll have you know that my charm comes from my small physique. (Is she bragging right now about being flat? Well, at least she's confident.) "Are you sure that your 'physique' is the only thing small?" (In that moment, I received my first friendship slap... it carried anger, embarrassment, and for some reason, it felt good.) Tawa!! Her hand engraved its initials on my cheeks. "Pervert! Humph! Okay, I'm sorry for making fun of you." (Embarrassed, she said) "And I'm sorry for slapping you. Does it still hurt?" She inquired worriedly. After that, we had a really long conversation. Her smiles, her laugh - all of these made it joyful, and that was the first time I had fun chatting with someone.
"As time passed, I found myself growing more comfortable around Aria. We would spend hours talking, laughing, and sharing stories. I discovered that I was better at communicating with her than I ever thought possible. Our friendship blossomed, and before I knew it, years had gone by. We went to different high schools, but our bond remained strong. Little did I know, our carefree days were numbered. The day would come when I would have to enlist in the army, leaving Aria and our life behind."
After enlisting I made up my mind to make her mine, and so I did, when I came back only to lose her again ,wheeze(Kaid exhales in pain) if there's an afterlife I will find you , even if God stops me, with a scream Kaid said" I will kill everything that keeps us apart!!!"
Those were Kaid's last words.
