Hello, old and new readers alike. You can refer to me as World Forger, writer of both original fiction and fanfiction.
If you are reading this, then you are about to start reading fanfiction stories that are a part of One Piece: The Warped Verse. You might be reading this in my early days of releasing for this world I reimagined off the great Oda-sensei's work, or your reading this years after I started publishing and have hopefully released dozens or hundred of chapters for this fan made version of one of the greatest manga ever written.
I am writing this introduction to give readers a bit of background into this fan project of mine.
Firstly, I will explain the Warped Verse. Firstly, this title is a homage to my first fanfiction account on Fanfiction.net where I'm called Warp Writer and where I posted my first fanfiction, Luffy's Terrifying Mom, first written and posted there decade ago. I've long since abandoned that particular work, since I didn't want to continue. It's still there but I'm not continuing it. What I am doing is taking the characters I first started crafting a decade ago and develop them again in the Warped Verse, a verse that is centered on one of my primary OCs, Aura D. Lilia, my version of Luffy's mother and Dragon's wife. A really strong character. And also a marine.
Secondly, this is meant to be a series of works interconnected with one another. I've debated for a long time about when exactly to begin writing the Warp Verse. Should it be at the beginning of One Piece? Or towards the end of the pretimeskip? Or perhaps before Luffy was born? all I really knew was that it was going to begin in the pretimeskip.And Aura D. Lilia was going to be one of the central characters in my Warped Verse.
Aura D. Lilia isn't the only character to look out for, however. She has a whole unit of powerful and colorful characters, called the Demon Unit.
Along with them, there are two D. families to pay attention to. The Wolf D. and the Sparrow Ds, who are very close to the Monkey D family.
On top of that, Luffy has six-count em-sisters, including a twin. Each of them is a unique and interesting girl. Why six sisters you may ask. The workings of the Warped Verse have been festering in my brain for over a decade. These characters have been developing themselves in my prefrontal cortex for a long time. When I consume other works of fiction, when I listen to music, when I'm by myself, and even when I'm in the shower. You may find it difficult to keep up with all of the OCs I crafted (I hope that's the case). But I hope you'll love all of them.
Of course, our beloved Straw Hat pirates will have plenty of time in the spotlight as well.
I believe this will be an enjoyable experience for those who give the Warped Verse a chance.
