Even though Victoria kept him in the living room, Matthias didn't complain. In fact, he preferred his wife to pamper him rather than keep her worries bottled up all day. He let his wife cuddle him until she was satisfied, even though he really wanted to cook something for her. He knew what she was craving.
His right hand stroked his wife's head, his lips landing on her forehead. "You're so sweet right now."
"Matty, can you stop sweet-talking me?"
"But every time you spoil me, you're so sweet. That's why I love you no matter what. Don't feel inferior because you're ugly; you're still my most adorable wife."
"If I were to marry another man, they wouldn't treat me with such affection. They'd treat me like a pig."
Matthias furrowed his brows. "Really? But I doubt Ansel would betray you. Judging by his possessive behavior, he wouldn't be hinting at you."
