Chapter 28 - The Thirty Draw Gambit 2

10. Sophie (Beyblade)

Oh right, she's one of those twins who worked under that reverse-rotation blader. What was his name again? Ryuga's cousin or something?

If I'm not wrong, her Bit-Beast was a whale. A huge one. But without it, she's just a regular support character with decent instincts.

No offense, but there's no point using Assimilation on her. She doesn't bring any raw power to the table unless that beast is included. And this card doesn't come with it.

Still, she has potential. With some proper training and exposure to chakra, she might evolve.

Decision's easy: Reincarnation.

Let her grow in this world. Who knows? Maybe she'll surprise me.

11. 1000 Galleons (Harry Potter)

Now this... this has actual use if I decide to enter the Harry Potter verse.

One thousand galleons might not sound like much to outsiders, but in that world? That's enough to shop for some decent magical gear. Wands, enchanted items, maybe even something borderline illegal if you know where to look.

Honestly, if I had to pick a world to live in peacefully, I would've taken Harry Potter over Naruto any day. Magic's way more flexible. You don't need chakra coils or bloodline hacks. Just knowledge, talent, and maybe a decent wand.

I mean, who wouldn't prefer magical comfort over constant life-or-death missions?

But what's done is done. I'm already here in this chakra-fuelled madness. So I'll make the most of it.

Still...

That Time-Turner plot always pissed me off.

You're telling me they handed an actual time-travel device to a 13-year-old muggle-born girl? Someone who'd only known about the magical world for three years?

That's like giving a nuclear briefcase to a school prefect.

Time travel should never be easy. Or common. Especially not in a world where most adults still wear robes and can't fix their glasses properly.

Sigh.

Anyway, the galleons might be minor now, but they could become valuable later.

Never know when I might need to pop into Diagon Alley for a little magical side quest.

12. Summon Controlled Puppet (Tang Hao) – Temporary

Oh f*ck.

This card lets me summon Tang Hao.

Yes, that Tang Hao. Father of Tang San. One of the strongest figures in the Soul Land universe. A man who wields the Clear Sky Hammer like it's a damn flyswatter.

I won't lie—I've read the fanfics. I'm not a fan of either of them as characters. Tang San always gave off that self-righteous, chosen-one vibe, and Tang Hao... well, forget it.

But strength? Oh yeah. No question.

And this card gives me full control.

Mentally bound. A puppet. No moral debates. No ego. Just raw power temporarily mine.

The only downside?

Ten minutes. That's all I get.

But honestly, ten minutes is more than enough. With the full form of the Clear Sky Hammer, Tang Hao could flatten a battlefield, crush elite enemies, or unleash enough destruction to completely shift the balance of a fight.

I read the description:

"A powerful figure refined as a puppet. Can be brought to you temporarily."

Does that mean this Tang Hao has already been defeated?

Well... whatever. I don't really care.

13. Caroline Channing's Shoe Collection (2 Broke Girls)

14. Joey's Emergency Condom Set (Friends)

15. Perry the Platypus' Hat (Phineas and Ferb)

16. Endurance (Interstellar)

17. Signal Flare (Attack on Titan)

18. Miyamura's Earrings (Horimiya)

19. Akatsuki Cloak (Naruto)

20. Metal Bat (One Punch Man)

21. Crocodile's Hook (One Piece)

22. Nobita's Glasses (Doraemon)

23. Buddy Pine (The Incredibles)

24. Minor Healing Potion ×2 (Overlord)

25. Gojo's Glasses (Jujutsu Kaisen)

26. Image Gum (Doraemon)

27. Superman Keychain (DC)

28. Pizza Gyoza (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles)

29. INSERT CARD (STATE: REINCARNATION)

30. Painted Table (Game of Thrones)

Damn, what is this? Back-to-back trash cards again.

The only remotely useful one from the previous batch was Endurance. And even that? Who knows when I'll use it.

The bat from Metal Bat's set? Surprisingly strong. That's no toy.

The Minor Healing Potions? Now those are clutch. In an emergency, they could save my life. Definitely worth keeping.

As for the rest?

Maybe Joey's emergency set will come in handy someday in... let's say, a very specific kind of situation.

But the rest? Meh. Gimmicks and gags.

Although, one card does stand out:

Buddy Pine, aka Syndrome. The antagonist from The Incredibles. A straight-up tinker.

Sure, I won't get superpowers from this, but it's still worth something.

People in this world don't really understand how far technology can go when pushed by the right mind. And Buddy Pine—he was dangerous even without powers.

Still, I'm not going to Assimilate the card just yet. That's something for after Daredevil. Priorities.

Honestly, this batch wasn't what I expected. I really thought I'd pull at least one full-blown Kage-tier character this time. Technically, I did—but only as temporarily.

Sigh. It's all so damn random.
