After the change in his fundamental beliefs about mana and elements—or rather, the whole magical world—slowly but surely, the rate at which his control over the elements increased.

And the feeling of an unknown power drawing closer as he made progress in the elements was getting stronger and stronger, especially in his lightning element, which he had the most control over among all the elements. He knew the unknown power was the concept of elements, the first level of which was Aura, which he was about to reach in the lightning element.
