We took the emergency stairs instead of an elevator, since Eirlys said it'll be faster.
I had not much to complaint or praise, the Sonder Interactive Inc's stairs were… Prettay ♪. So to speak.
We were on top of the roof, above the 50th floor, and descended 8 stairs to the 42th floor.
The walls the stairway were a smooth slate-gray with evenly spaced vertical LED strips glowing a soft white.
Each landing had a tiny abstract mural with minimalist brush strokes, representing things like "momentum" or "spark" or whatever concept some designer got paid half a million to capture.
The handrails were brushed aluminum with a temperature that stayed strangely neutral, neither cold nor warm, like it wasn't real metal, which, I supposed they added something in the middle?
By the time we reached the heavy double doors marked [42 – D.A.VR DEVELOPMENT & PATCHING], I was sweating in a very unglamorous, very mortal way, since I feel overwhelmed by the sheer size of this facility..
