Chapter 32 - CHAPTER 32. THE VEIL UNMASKED

Chapter 32: The Veil Unmasked

The night air grew thick with tension as Joshua's team prepared for the inevitable clash. The Soul Reapers moved with lethal precision, their presence a silent shield around the group. Karen's heart pounded in her chest, but her mind sharpened; this was no longer just about survival—it was a fight for the future.

From the hidden Veil hideout, a cascade of intercepted communications revealed Cirth's voice—calm yet commanding. "They think they can hide under Ikemba's shadow? Let's see how long that shield holds."

Inside the convoy, Cassandra leaned forward, eyes fierce. "We can't let them pin us down here. We need to strike first, disrupt their command."

Joshua nodded. "Agreed. The intel from our infiltrator shows their main force is concentrated near the Old Dockyards. We move at dawn."

Marie's fingers danced across the holographic map projected before them. "The Soul Reapers will cover our advance. Karen, you'll lead with your Proto-Domain. Your Shadow Bloom can turn the tide if controlled properly."

Karen inhaled deeply, focusing her energy, feeling the dark petals of her domain unfurl within. "Then let's end this—before the Veil tightens their noose."

Outside, the city slept unaware, but beneath its surface, a silent war churned. And tonight, Karen Lockwood would face the Veil not as prey, but as a rising force.
