Chapter 2 - rift in Reality 2

### *Chapter 4: A Rift in Reality*

Just when things seemed hopeless, **they arrived.**

A shimmer tore through the infected Underground, warping the air like a heat mirage. Out of the distortion stepped **Ink Sans**, his multicolored scarf flowing as he scanned the battlefield with urgency. Alongside him, **Underswap Sans ("Blue")** adjusted his bandana, determination burning in his eyes. And then there was **X!Sans**, his gleaming armor humming with power as he took a stance.

Sans barely had time to react before Ink shouted, **"No time for chit-chat, bonehead! We're getting you OUT of here!"**

Papyrus was stunned. "WHAT—WHO ARE YOU?!"

Blue flashed a grin. "No time to explain, but you're gonna love where we're going, tall guy!"

Before Sans could crack a joke or question them, X!Sans raised his hand, summoning a void-like portal. The chaotic world around them blurred, the air twisting as reality bent to their will. With little choice, the human, Sans, and Papyrus stepped through.

### *Chapter 5: The Sanctuary of Shattered Timelines*

The portal spat them out into a vast, hidden refuge—a **fractured sanctuary** beyond time and space. Inside, echoes of the past flickered across the walls like forgotten memories. This was where **every surviving AU version of Sans, Papyrus, and Frisk** had gathered, hiding from the relentless virus.

They saw them all—**Horror Sans sharpening his axe**, **Dust Sans watching from a distance**, **Swap Papyrus cooking with Fell Papyrus, trying to keep morale up**, and even **Frisks from different timelines discussing theories on how to stop the infection.**

Ink Sans clapped his hands together. "Alright, folks! Welcome to the last stronghold against the infection. If we wanna fix this mess, we have to do it together."

Sans glanced around, eyeing the odd collection of versions of himself. "Welp, this is officially the weirdest family reunion ever."

Papyrus, still processing everything, pointed at a Fell variant. "YOU LOOK ANGRY. WHY DO YOU LOOK ANGRY?"

Fell Papyrus scoffed. "Because I *am* angry. We shouldn't be *hiding.* We should be *fighting.*"

The discussion was heating up. Some wanted war against the infected Underground. Some wanted to find a cure. The question remained—**how could they stop something this powerful?**

And worse—**what if the infection was already spreading through timelines?**
