He gripped her.
The violence in his grip said everything his pride wouldn't let him voice aloud.
Danika resisted and tried to free herself but his hand struck her again.
She gasped but couldn't scream as she had no energy left to do so.
Her knees buckled and she collapsed backward against the stone floor, her broken body splayed like a forgotten thing.
Her fingers clawed weakly at the ground, her pulse pounding in her ears. She couldn't bring herself to believe what Damien wanted to do.
"Please stopp....." She managed to mutter, her voice barely above a whisper.
She'd been resuscitated with water after her beatings, and only had few herbs rubbed onto some of her wounds.
