"What is your problem?" A Max clone on the council of the Super Citadel asked Captain Teddy. He was the only council member standing, leaning on the new table. "Where in that tiny brain of yours, was it a good idea to publish the video of the Lukas killing one of the citadel creatures?"
"A24 decided to call them Lina." The cloaked Geddos said.
The angry Max clones turned to him with his finger pointed at him angrily. "You be quiet! You're the only one that has not yet spoken about this issue to any of us. You refuse any private meeting with our coalition."
"Of course. I support Captain Teddy in this situation." He told him, his arms crossed and his eyes closed, "I did not reach out to the… Emperor… to criticise her."
Captain Teddy looked at him surprised for a short moment, before she suppressed her expression. She turned back to the rest of the council: "It's too late to complain now. The citadels have seen the footage of Lukas and—as he was the only Lukas on this super citadel—demand a reward and an item of remembrance."
"AN ITEM OF REMEMBRANCE?" The Max clone shouted, he leaned towards Captain Teddy and his voice got angrier but quieter, "Are they crazy?"
"I don't think that would be hard to do. We just need to design something and the Teddys would be delighted to build it." The cloaked Geddos informed them, "Something like a statue or monument." He took out a small bundle and put it on top of the table. Grabbing something inside the bundle, he pulled it out. It was the orb that manifested where the Lukas died after defeating the Lina.
"Why do you still have that thing? You were ordered to hand it over to the council's laboratory." The Max clones squinted.
Holding the orb, the cloaked Geddos opened his mouth: "You mean the laboratory that is owned and controlled and supervised by your coalition? You're joking, right?" He chuckled. Letting his face relax he continued speaking, but this time to the entire table. His gaze lingered on Captain Teddy the longest: "I think we should build a statue and we should use this. Until we know what it is used for."
Another council member pushed the standing Max clone back into his seat, trying to get him to relax. Max sat down and sighed heavily. "If…" His voice still sounded irritated and slightly hoarse, "If the people demand an item of remembrance, then we will build that Lukas a monument."
Captain Teddy stood up. "Alright, I'll inform the Teddy copies to start a design with an orb slot." With that, she left the room, leaving the other council members behind. The cloaked Geddos angrily glanced at the other council members and went after her.
"How come you're on the council?" Captain Teddy asked him as he waddled after her. She did not spare a single glance into his direction. "But thanks… for getting me back home, I mean. Being on my side in the council? Was not necessary, but still, thank you as well."
The Geddos continued to follow her in silence. He was nervous, would she accept the demands he had for her?
The two of them entered the elevator, having left the council's lobby. The Geddos shifted uncomfortably under his cloak, adjusting his blowgun. "Can I ask you for something?" He asked.
She glanced at him. "What could I do that you aren't capable of?"
"You can clean up the coalition's interference with the council. Max, for example, is only acting out of self interest, not for the good of his citadel." He told her, his voice now stern. He threw the orb of the fallen Lukas at her.
She caught it. "Why aren't you doing that?" She looked at his weapon as well as looking at the weird technology on his cloak, "You should have been capable of taking over the entire super citadel by yourself until you had me freed."
He hesitated: "Busy… with personal… interests."
She tried clenching her fists but remembered she had no fingers. "Are you… the one going around and—" She turned to face him, "—killing other Geddoses?"
Within the blink of an eye the two stood close to each other. Geddos had his claws extended at her neck and his blowgun pointed at her forehead. She, on the other hand, had her hand against his torso and her arm was glowing aggressively.
"You better lower your weapon, false one." She emphasized the last 2 words heavily, "I do not wish to fight you, just know that I accept your conditions for cleansing the coalition out of the council. But if you ever lift your weapons at me again, you are dead."
The 2 of them lowered their weapons as the elevator opened and Captain Teddy stepped out of it, leaving him alone.
