Chapter 5 - Something Different

Yohan was shocked when he saw the scene in front of him. His girlfriend Claudia, stood and faced his father so close to each other.

Even her body was leaning towards his father, as if they were doing something.

"What are you two doing?" asked a surprised Yohan as he walked quickly over to Claudia and pulled her away from Davion.

"Calm down, Yohan. It's not what you think," said his father trying to calm his son down.

"Not what I think? Then why do you two look so close to each other?"

The man then turned to his girlfriend and forcefully pulled Claudia's arm out of his father's office.

"Let go of me, Yohan!" said Claudia while trying to remove Yohan's hand from her arm, because his grip was so strong and hurt her quite a lot.

However, the man did not listen to her and continued to pull Claudia towards a place that was quite quiet and there were only two of them on the floor.

Until finally he pushed Claudia and her back hit the wall behind her.

"What the hell was that? Why are you alone with my father in his office?" he asked interrogating her.

"It's none of your business, is it? No one forbids me to meet your father," Claudia replied as she folded her hands in front of her chest.

Yohan, however, did not want to listen to that answer. He slammed his hand on the wall next to Claudia's head.

"You told me that you were busy this afternoon and had important business. But what did you do? Meeting with my father and being alone with him? Then what position is that? Are you trying to flirt with him?"

Claudia snorted dismissively at Yohan's words, because she didn't care what he said to her.

"If I did it, so what? Besides, your father doesn't find it strange. You have no right to stop me from doing what I want," she replied again.

He gripped Claudia's wrist there, and gritted his teeth.

"Of course I have the right to. You are my lover and I can forbid it! Moreover, you met and spent time together with my father! Don't you have any shame at all?"

His face was close to hers, as if he was showing that he was the one with the power between the two of them.

But once again Claudia laughed dismissively at Yohan's words.

"Do you think you're the only one who can lie to me by saying that you're busy with your work?" she asked as she moved closer to his face.

"I know that you met that woman and spent all night with her. You think you can fool me? Not this time!" she continued as she emphasized each sentence.

Of course, her words surprised Yohan. Because he was wondering how Claudia could know that yesterday he didn't go to take care of work, but went with a woman who was none other than Stephanie.

Yohan's silence made Claudia absolutely sure of her answer. Because obviously, this morning Yohan said that he had a business matter that his father told him to do. Yet Davion himself didn't even know where Yohan had gone yesterday when Claudia met him.

'How would she know? Wasn't she in the company lobby all day? That damn receptionist said that she was here all morning and night,' Yohan thought as he frowned in wonder.

"What's wrong? A cat bit your tongue?" asked Claudia while smiling slyly at him.

"Are you stalking me? Or are you paying someone to do it?" he asked in a cold tone.

"Heh what for? You should know from the receptionist at your father's company that I've been here all day," she replied while shrugging her shoulders.

Yohan became even more confused, if what the receptionist said was true and Claudia also didn't pay someone to spy on her, then how did she know about it?

"You just misunderstood, maybe you thought that I went out with a woman. But that woman is my new business partner," said Yohan who instantly softened to Claudia while rubbing her head.

The gesture that had always made Claudia melt, making her always fall into his every touch was now a very disgusting thing for her.

She glanced at Yohan's neck, right under his collar there was a red mark there.

And she was sure it was the mark from the hickey Stephanie had given him last night.

'They're having fun, huh? I could have guessed that. Why was I so stupid to tolerate what he did?' Claudia thought as she rolled her eyes.

Realizing that she was watching his neck, Yohan immediately covered it again with his collar and held both of Claudia's hands. He grasped them gently and looked directly into her eyes.

"You don't have to worry about anything. Because in my heart there is only you, Claudia. I only love you, so you don't have to be prejudiced against me," he said trying to reassure her.

But it was in vain because of course Claudia already knew what Yohan was like.

"That woman means nothing to me except as my business partner. She is the daughter of the famous Yovanka family. So she is a very profitable business partner for my new company. You can understand that, right?"

'Yohan Morgan Davidson, maybe in the past you could fool me with all those sweet words. Making me continue to believe you and support whatever you did even though it was all lies. But not this time, on this occasion I will never fall for your words!'

Claudia immediately pulled her hand away from Yohan's grasp. Yohan gasped in surprise at Claudia's rough movement when both her hands grabbed him.

He knew she would always be gentle and trusting with his every word, but why was she acting so different from usual this time?

'She's not like that stupid Claudia who would smile and support my lies. She looks different, what's wrong with her? Does she already suspect me?' Yohan frowned again as he thought of how to make Claudia believe his words.

"You don't need to tell me that. If you really didn't have anything to hide behind, you wouldn't have to go to such lengths to make me believe you, right?"

"I... I just want you not to have any misunderstandings between us," Yohan replied.

Claudia pretended to smile at his question, and then held both of Yohan's shoulders.

"Don't worry, there will be no misunderstanding between us," she replied as she patted Yohan's shoulder, dusting off his blue coat.

Her eyes looked back into his and she continued her sentence. The smile did not leave her face, even her eyes were smiling when she said that.

"Because sooner or later good things will come and bad things will fall into the abyss of hell that the person made themselves."
