Illusion.
That was the first thing that popped into her mind the moment she pondered the cause of their current predicament.
They had been going around in circles because a powerful illusion had been blocking their senses.
"Did we accidentally go the wrong way or what?" Derek frowned.
Zerra thought about it and decided to reveal the reason. "It seems to be an illusion… every time we passed a place, it's like we were walking through a new path, but actually we had passed through it before."
Derek widened his eyes and mumbled, "Illusion." He examined Zerra's expression. "How do you know it's really an illusion?"
"It's the most plausible explanation right now." She frowned. "I have encountered a mutated plant with such ability."
She didn't immediately detect it because the illusion was one with a wide range. It lulled their senses, making them mistake the same landscape they were going to pass by for a new path.
