Everyone held their breath. The monsters differed from the few they had faced before. They were taller, uglier, and more deadly.
If the bloated skin color still resembled a normal human with a few red blotches, these monsters looked like one's worst nightmare.
Their skin was ash gray, like a dried corpse. The height was above two meters. Their limbs were completely replaced by beasts' limbs, with sharp, elongated nails.
Some monsters had blood dripping from their nails. Obviously, it wasn't their blood. They still looked fresh.
