Zerra scratched her head. The tiger's answer was really out of her expectations.
"It really is as Cassias says…" she blinked. "It regards me as its other cub…"
A little astonished by the situation, Laziel slapped his own knee. "Mutated animals now can adopt such an old baby?"
Zerra shot her elder brother a glare. However, he wasn't intimidated at all. He gave her a grin.
Laziel found the situation funny and novel, but Nerith didn't think so. She muttered dazedly, "It thinks of me as its competitor, right?"
Seeing her mom's expression and dad's troubled face, she immediately assured them. "Don't worry, no one can take me away. I am still mom and dad's best daughter."
Nerith pursed her lips. Outside of anyone's expectation, she suddenly stepped forward. Before anyone could stop her, she went to the tiger.
This time, the tiger didn't growl at her, although it was still dissatisfied. Zerra had explained to it that they were her biological parents and it shouldn't hurt them.
