Electronic voices kept chattering one over the other. It was the Collective. Technically, they were civilizational representatives of the organization.

A group consisting of thousands of planets and trillions of beings classified under 78 species. They were the self-proclaimed heralds of the galaxy, with their primary purpose of creating a 'cure'.

The illness in question was of course the progenitor virus. The one that had consumed countless worlds, turning their populations into zombies.

Together, they were a civilization that could control stars, terraform desolate planets, and even turn the so-called tide of the cosmic ocean.
