"Right, Alexis, it's a great name," Jaxson nodded, his eyes full of approval.
Cora nodded proudly and replied, "My dad said the same thing."
Jaxson was taken aback as he looked at Cora's proud little face. It was obvious she adored her dad deeply.
But if that was the case, why had Rachel seemed so unhappy that night?
And hadn't he just heard Cora say that Rachel went on a blind date and even fainted?
If that man was truly good to her, why would she still go on blind dates?
Rachel froze too at the sudden mention of Kellan. Her heart felt a little embarrassed.
Even though she had been drunk that night, she still remembered Jaxson's words clearly: "If that man treats you badly, come to me. I'll treat you well, okay?"
