Chapter 206 - Dreaming

"You should be more aware of your surroundings!" Kellan's eyes flashed with intensity.

Before Rachel could answer, his strong arms slid around her waist as if to lift her onto his lap.

At that moment she pushed back a little, and the bar stool tipped. With a loud bang, they both crashed to the floor.

Kellan's head was protected by Rachel's hands, so he wasn't hurt.

Rachel, however, landed with her palms pressed against the back of his head and winced in pain.

"Ow… it hurts so much…" she muttered, brow creasing in real pain.

Kellan hadn't expected her to use her hands to shield his head.

He scrambled up immediately and, voice tight with concern, asked, "What happened to your hands?"

He could see the redness and small scratches on her palms. This was a new place; there was no spare medicine here.

"I'll take you to see a doctor." Kellan's face went cold and his thin lips pressed together.
