Chapter 7 - God Slayer

The black palm collided with the orb of light, releasing a dazzling radiance.

Kaito dodged the counterattack, but Typhon received a solid hit; visible wounds and burn marks appeared where the orb of light struck him.

He roared in pain, a furious bellow.

"Damned foreign god! I'll cut your tendons and hamstring you!"

The surrounding black storm expanded further, and Erica, who had remained in the ruins, struggled to create a barrier with her spells, protecting herself from the power of the Heretic Gods.

At the same time, she constantly observed Kaito's condition.

She had thought that Kaito simply wanted to play hero in front of her, trying foolishly to win the heart of the maiden.

But now it seemed that Erica was terribly mistaken.

The young man who flew through the air had injured the Heretic Gods, who were invincible to mortals.

"Who are you exactly?"

Erica, who had known Kaito for half a year, realized for the first time how little she really understood him.

Kaito, who had already participated in dozens of battles with Typhon, was gradually falling into disadvantage.

Although the sub-species Balance Breaker, Polar Night Longinus Chakravartin, could injure Typhon, it was not enough to inflict fatal damage.

Moreover, during the battle, the magical power of the evil god continuously restored Typhon's wounds.

The Heretic Gods had almost infinite resistance, but Kaito was currently just an ordinary person.

Prolonging the fight any further would be disadvantageous for Kaito.

"Auuuuuuu—!"

Typhon let out a terrifying howl, spewing fire and conjuring massive rocks from his hands, throwing them at Kaito.

Kaito, who released clones and used spatial movement to dodge the attacks, finally abandoned his investigative intentions.

The resistance of the Heretic Gods exceeded his expectations, but since their divine power could not affect him, it was simply that.

"Zumbido-!"

In the next second, a part of the evil god's magical power emitted by Typhon was neutralized.

A distinct type of magical power was released from within the True Longinus.

A dazzling radiance filled the dark world.

The torrent of magical power surged through the air like a tsunami, and an indescribable aura emanated from Kaito.

"Damned foreign god!"

Typhon roared, shaking his enormous hand towards Kaito.

The furious storm compressed further, filling the sky with a grayish-yellow dust.

The tiny grains of sand were imbued with immense kinetic energy; an ordinary person would be riddled with holes if they remained there for even a second, as each tiny grain possessed the power of a piercing bullet.

The aura emanating from Kaito made Typhon feel fear.

"I am the King of the Myriad Demons! The King of Devils!"

Innumerable snake heads writhed and swayed like hair.

They breathed fire, scorching the space and earth.

However, this could not stop Kaito from unleashing the true power of the True Longinus.

"True Longinus Götterdämmerung"

As a god-killing equipment, the True Longinus evolved by feeding on the thoughts of its wielder.

When the wielder's thoughts reached a level sufficient to turn the world, the divine artifact released its original abilities.

Kaito, who had only practiced martial arts and spells for half a year, naturally could not reach that level.

But with the Book of the Witch as an external catalyst, Kaito did not need to elevate his thoughts or put himself in an emotionally agitated state.

He only needed to adapt gradually to the True Longinus and exercise its power as much as possible, ideally to 100%.

"Zumbido-!"

The magical power that surged from the True Longinus enveloped Kaito's body, then grew rapidly, forming an orb of light.

Typhon's divine fire roared, causing only ripples on the surface of the orb.

In the next second, a brilliant sun appeared in the sky.

So dazzling that even Typhon squinted his eyes.

When he finally could see clearly.

A warrior completely clad in golden armor appeared, the flames could not harm him in the least, and even the massive rocks that Typhon threw were shattered instantly upon hitting that radiant light.

His aerodynamic appearance gave him a unique aesthetic beauty; the golden armor on his chest was engraved with the emblem of the Cross Religion, and his fully closed helmet had only a cross-shaped slit through which a golden sacred light emanated.

On his left shoulder was imprinted a scale, and on his right a flaming sword.

"Is this what a fully unleashed Balance Breaker looks like?"

Kaito shook his head while looking at his current appearance.

Previously, to avoid problems, he had only used the Balance Breaker partially.

This was his first time using the Balance Breaker completely, True Longinus Götterdämmerung.

"It's quite cool."

The black-haired youth was secretly pleased; as a first-rate god-killing equipment, the power and design of the True Longinus were impeccable.

"Let's start the second round."

The power that surged within him gave Kaito immense confidence; a sub-species Balance Breaker, Polar Night Longinus Chakravartin, was enough to injure Typhon, and a fully unleashed True Longinus Götterdämmerung was enough to make him a God Slayer.

Typhon, taller than a mountain, made the earth tremble; in the midst of the furious winds, his thick arms reached for Kaito.

As an ancient giant god, he possessed a strength and physique unmatched by other deities, but his physical power limited Typhon to having distance abilities.

As a god, he could not even fly.

It was rumored that when Zeus fought against Typhon, he was seated in his chariot, racing through the sky at high speed and continuously striking Typhon with lightning bolts.

Typhon, completely unable to reach Zeus, could only receive the beating.

And Kaito, after having used the Balance Breaker, did not become overconfident in facing Typhon in a test of strength.

The tip of the True Longinus was incredibly sharp; it had been soaked in the blood of Jesus, so the tip of the lance possessed a powerful piercing ability.

His speed increased even more, and Kaito transformed into a golden lightning bolt, constantly maneuvering around Typhon; his advantage in size and speed gave him the absolute advantage.

The True Longinus continuously tore off thick feathers from Typhon's body, cut off his horrible snake heads, and added new wounds one after another.

Moreover, the greatly enhanced divine power at the tip of the lance had an extraordinary restrictive effect on evil creatures like demons, and indeed on all beings that possessed malicious energy.

The divine power clashed with the magical power, hindering the recovery of the evil god's wounds.

And Typhon, unable to touch Kaito, became increasingly enraged.

The evil god's roar resonated in the sky.

The more Kaito fought, the more excited and fluid he moved; all other thoughts disappeared, now he only wanted to fight.

To tear Typhon apart limb by limb and achieve the feat of God Slayer.

And, in fact, he was not far from his goal.

The evil god plunged his hands into the earth, pulling out a rock taller than a mountain and throwing it at Kaito.

Even so, it was easy to dodge.

Kaito was fighting gleefully, intending to fight against Typhon for another three hundred rounds, when he only saw the evil god with a snake head roar at him, the piercing sound waves abruptly stopping his charge.

"Don't be so arrogant, foreign god!"

Kaito thought: "It's not good" and prepared his defenses, but no attack came for a long time.

The magical power in the air had weakened significantly compared to before; Typhon had actually fled.

Kaito was stunned for two seconds before reacting.

"You old scoundrel, don't run!"

But Typhon did not look back, his body gradually transforming into a storm, wanting to escape from this person who was even more troublesome than Zeus.

No, this was not a retreat, but a strategic withdrawal!

There was absolutely no word "escape" in a god's dictionary.

Kaito held the True Longinus, which radiated a golden light, as if riding a White Horse at a gallop; the divine power condensed at the tip of the lance pierced the air and twisted space.

In the next moment, just as Typhon's head was about to turn into a storm, the True Longinus pierced his cranium, leaving a black hole in Typhon's glabella.

In reality, there are not many coincidences in the world.

The great feat achieved by the God Slayer: killing gods with a mortal body.

When people talk about them, they often call them a miracle among millions, the favorites of the world, a super lucky person.

However, who would consider that those God Slayers who killed gods and obtained great power were a historical inevitability rather than a coincidence?

When certain individuals were born into the world, their destiny was already predetermined.

The black storm still raged, and a terrifying fear, capable of shattering the spirit, enveloped this world.

Typhon, with a hideous face and innumerable snake heads on his shoulders, smiled as he looked at the son of man who had fainted from pain.

The brilliant and dazzling golden armor had fallen from his body a long time ago, and his beautiful face, comparable to that of a god, was stained with large bloodstains; the blood droplets that seeped from his pores had turned Kaito into a blood-soaked figure, his clothes now stained with blood.

Even with a god-killing equipment, it was not that easy.

Of course, his fainting was due to his own reasons: excessive magical power production and a human body unable to withstand the prolonged use of Balance Breaker; if it had been his past self, he would have long since become a crippled shell.

However, at this moment, another force was continuously transforming and repairing Kaito's damaged body.

Replacing his human form.

The power of the True Longinus was evident; Typhon's body was gradually disappearing from his snake-like lower half.

The large hole in his glabella made him look even stranger.

The evil god laughed, mocking: "Hahahahaha! I never thought that the great evil god would be defeated by a simple human; this is a great disgrace, a humiliation! If I see you again, I'll blow your head off!"

Typhon looked at Kaito falling to the ground.

—Then, great evil god... I know that ancient gods like you value prestige, but can you fulfill your obligation now?

The God Slayer who fell from the sky was caught by a pair of beautiful and slender hands; the little maiden gently held Kaito in her arms.

Half-unconscious, Kaito felt a hand caressing his cheek.

But he didn't know whose hand it was.

Was it Erica?

No, that proud lady Camellia was not so gentle.

"Hmph! I don't need you to tell me; the curse of Prometheus' detestable sister-in-law, the Dark Christmas Festival that gives birth to the son of the fool and the demon, the usurpation ritual that can only succeed with a god as a sacrifice, is starting to strip me of my divine power, this little lucky person."

As he saw the little goddess, Typhon's snake hair writhed, his face filled with anger and resentment.

—Well, after all, I have my own problems, so please, bless and hate this child, the seventh God Slayer, the youngest foreign Devil King in the world, hehe... I never thought I'd have a child like this.

The laughter of the demon girl Pandora resonated through the storm.

"Shut up, demon girl!"

Typhon roared and then fixed his eyes, the size of a reflector, on the youth in the maiden's arms.
