Part II: The Seeds of Olympus
Chapter 4: The Fall of Titans
The war between the Titans and Uranus raged for centuries, shaking the foundations of the cosmos. Erebus watched the conflict unfold from the shadows, observing the brutality and the futility of the struggle.
He saw Cronus, fueled by a thirst for power, castrate Uranus, ending his reign of terror. He witnessed the birth of Aphrodite from the sea foam, a symbol of beauty and desire born from violence and betrayal.
The world was changing, evolving, and Erebus realized that he could no longer remain detached. He had to choose a side, not out of loyalty or ambition, but out of a sense of responsibility.
He saw the potential for growth and prosperity in the new generation of gods, the children of Cronus and Rhea. He saw in them a spark of creativity and compassion that was lacking in the Titans.
Therefore, when Rhea, desperate to save her youngest son Zeus from the wrath of Cronus, sought his aid, Erebus agreed to help. He used his power over the shadows to conceal Zeus, allowing him to grow in secret on the island of Crete.
His decision to aid Rhea marked a turning point in the war. It shifted the balance of power in favor of the young gods, paving the way for the rise of Olympus
