Chapter 6 - His Dark Side

The airplane landed in Country Z and Aiden and his men alighted entering the car that awaited to take them to their destination. Apart from his identity as the CEO of Hendrix Global, Aiden was also the boss of a dangerous Italian mafia syndicate called Dark Night.

The organization was known by all the underground networks, it was known that anyone who offended the syndicate would not live to tell the story. They were known for their crooked and torturous methods. In the underground world of crimes, Dark Night was at the top ranking.

Aiden was already retreating from the syndicate to focus on the opening of Hendrix Global in the Capital city but something had happened that needed him to handle personally. One of their core member had defaulted by betraying the Syndicate causing them to suffer a great loss both in personal and resources.

Their men in Country Z were already waiting for them, as soon as Aiden arrived, they all bowed slightly creating a pathway for Aiden.

Scott, Aiden's right hand man approached. "Welcome boss"

Where is he?

He's in there, he pointed at the remote underground warehouse and they walked in with him leading the way.

The air in the underground warehouse hung thick with the smell of mildew and fear. A single bare bulb hung over head.

Marco's body hung limply with a meat hook embedded in his shoulder, his body full of bruises and lacerations accompanied by ragged rasphed breaths and the drip, drip, drip of blood onto the floor.

Marco gasped in terror at the sight of Aiden who was impeccably dressed with his polished shoes clicking on the concrete floor.

"You shouldn't have done this, Marco?" Aiden's voice was a silken whisper, a stark contrast to the brutality surrounding them. He gestured to Scott who produced a wickedly sharp cleaver, its blade glinting menacingly under the dim light.

Before Marco could even whimper, the man moved with terrifying speed. The cleaver descended, slicing through flesh with a sickening thud. Marco's scream was cut short by a gush of blood, spraying across the wall.

Aiden watched, his expression unmoved, as the man systematically began to dismember Marco, each precise cut accompanied by a fresh torrent of blood and a guttural cry of agony. The air filled with the smell of blood and the stench of fear.

Aiden didn't flinch, didn't look away. He watched with cold detachment as life slipped away from Marco, his eyes fixed on the man's increasingly frantic struggles. The sounds of the butchery, the ragged gasps for air, the final, desperate sigh were a grim soundtrack to Aiden's ruthlessness.

When the last piece of Marco's body fell to the floor, Aiden simply wiped a stray drop of blood from his immaculate suit, his expression unchanged.

The message was clear, disloyalty to the Dark Night had a price, and that price was paid in blood. The underground warehouse now echoed with the silent testament to Aiden's absolute and terrifying power.

The bowed slightly as Aiden left the scene.

He needed to stay in Country Z for a few days to deal with the aftermath of Marco's betrayal.

It's been three days since Aliya's kidnap. Ryan had utilized all his resources but he still couldn't find her, their search came to a dead end when they discovered that the car plate numbers were fake and unregistered with the authorities.

The Finchs were worried sick about their daughter's safety but they still stayed optimistic hoping that nothing would happen to her.

Aliya had monitored the landscape of the house and noticed that there was a balcony in the room which was connected to the garden downstairs and the height was not too high, she could use the room curtains to form a rope to take her down, she noticed that the guards were not present there at night and since she was well behaved for the past three days, they had let their guards down. If everything goes accordingly, she would at least be able to escape the house tonight.

Aiden had been involved with several negotiations, strategic meetings and even gun battles, he was finally able to reclaim their territory and settle the issue at Country Z. He had to go back to the Capital City as there were still some works to be done before the grand opening of Hendrix Global.

In the car that picked Aiden from the airport, he rested his head on the car seat.

"Sir, where should we go?"

He knew that Aliya was still confined at the Manor. Go to the Manor, he commanded and they driver drove off.

Aliya managed to successfully climb down the garden but she noticed that the house was more guarded than she thought. There were guards everywhere loitering around, though they seemed relaxed and not on guard, she needed to escape without being spotted and she didn't have much time or they would notice her disappearance in the room.

Aliya didn't know her way around so she had to tiptoe around. She had learnt a few escape tricks when she was abroad, she just needed to find an easier set up to execute her escape.

The Manor suddenly got chaotic with frantic movements everywhere, the gates opened and several cars drove in, it seemed that Aiden was back, she would soon be discovered.

Aiden arrived in the sitting room and Tessy welcomed him.

Welcome back boss, everything has been under control in your absence and the company....

Where is she? Aiden interrupted.

Miss Finch is still in the room.

Get her down here.

Yes boss, Tessy bowed slightly going up to get Aliya.

Tessy opened the door and saw that the room was in a mess, the curtains were removed with Aliya's wedding gown torn, she rushed to the balcony and saw the rope that had been formed from the piece of clothings.

"Shit" That bitch had escaped, she rushed downstairs frantically.

She has escaped! Search the manor, she couldn't have gone far.

Aiden's expression changed instantly. The whole manor guards went into search mode.

Aliya had managed to escape and had run as far away from the Manor as she could, barefooted, her feets were already hurting but she continued going, she needed to get back to her family. Aliya never expected that the place would be so remote, it looked like a neighborhood attacked by zombies, she had not sighted a single vehicle or any person yet, she still moved forward.

Aiden was searching for her too but outside the Manor, the guards believed that she was still in the Manor probably hiding somewhere but he believed otherwise.

Ryan went on a personal search in the only place that hadn't been searched in the Capital City. He sighted a figure limping and seemingly to be injured.

Aiden saw Aliya walking seemingly injured, he stepped on the accelerator.
