Chapter 364 - Chapter 364: Blood God Grand Array

The Tree of Life finally completed its rooting into the plane seed, and the entire vine transformed into a verdant green, glowing like emerald.

With a faint hum, the golden dragon spear reflected a spectrum of colors before slowly dimming. Gu You let out a long breath of relief. Without exaggeration, the gains he'd just made in this short time were equal to what would normally take half a year of hard cultivation.

The Ant Emperor had only realized at the very end how the Six-Clawed Demon Emperor had met its end. When its own plane seed was grasped firmly by the Tree of Life, all of its resistance gradually weakened and faded.

Cao Dezhi waved his hand and recalled the Wuqing Sword. At this moment, his heart was surging with satisfaction. Though he hadn't yet seen the situation inside the passage, the fact that only two Abyssal Emperors had come through so far meant the channel wasn't yet fully open. And now, to have destroyed two layers of the Abyssal Plane—that was unprecedented and a crushing blow to their enemies.

Eliminating powerful foes and simultaneously accelerating Gu You's growth—it was a perfect two-birds-one-stone outcome.

Just as this proud Blood One was basking in his triumph, a sudden tremor shook the entire Mirror Domain.

A hurried voice echoed into the space. "Old Cao, something's wrong! Come quickly! The abyssal passage is cracking open completely!"

Cao Dezhi's heart sank. During his brief foray into the passage earlier, he had seen that the seals deep within had not been fully opened. It should've only been a minor breach—after all, that seal had been laid down by many mighty powers joining forces. It shouldn't be so easily undone!

Still, despite those thoughts, he exited the domain without hesitation.

In that moment, a cacophony of shattering sounds rang out within the abyssal passage. Terrifying energy surged outward. The previously escaped abyssal creatures exploded one after another, turning into energy streams that rushed back into the depths of the abyss.

From below, the originally stabilized vortex began to collapse inward. One by one, the protective seals began to crack—deep fractures spread rapidly. Dense, thick abyssal energy began to spill out from those growing gaps.

"What's going on?" As soon as Cao Dezhi emerged, he immediately sensed the change and was visibly alarmed.

Zhang Huanyun's expression was grim. "We're in serious trouble. Did you succeed earlier?"

"I did. The Six-Clawed Demon Emperor is gone. And the entire ninety-seventh abyssal layer was likely destroyed along with it. But this reaction... Could it be that the other abyssal emperors sensed the danger and are now preparing to break through the seal at all costs?"

Cao Dezhi had assumed that if a few abyssal emperors were destroyed and certain layers collapsed, the abyss would retreat, cut its losses, and sever the channel. That would've resolved the long-standing threat to the Douluo Continent once and for all.

But instead, the abyss seemed to be responding with desperation. Not only were they not retreating, they were preparing for an all-out charge!

Just two abyssal emperors had been killed. If more managed to break through, the consequences would be catastrophic.

"Huanyun, we can't let them breach the seal. Let's join forces to stabilize it. Activate the Blood God Grand Array," Cao Dezhi declared firmly.

Zhang Huanyun hesitated. "If we do that, you won't be able to fight anymore. All of Blood God Battalion's manpower would be tied up in the array. The seal is already cracked; more abyssal creatures are going to pour through. We won't be able to stop them all. It's inevitable that some emperors will get through."

Cao Dezhi's eyes sharpened. "We stop them regardless. If the abyssal passage completely breaks open, and dozens of emperors charge through, that would be a disaster on a scale we've never seen. We must activate the Blood God Grand Array. Now, we can only place our faith in the young generation."

He cast a glance toward Gu You.

With a flash of light, Cao Dezhi soared into the air and shouted, "Blood God Battalion, prepare the Blood God Grand Array!"

As he spoke, a familiar ancient longsword appeared in his hand. This time, however, it was just one blade.

The sword, about four feet and three inches long, gleamed faintly with icy ripples flowing along its edge. Beneath him, nine soul rings rose—six black and three red—surrounding his body like divine halos.

As the current leader of the Tang Sect and the head of the Douluo Hall, when this Ultimate Douluo released his full power, even the sky darkened. The air became sharp, as if countless blades were about to descend from above.

He raised the Wuqing Sword skyward. The heavens brightened as a beam of dawn light fell. It transformed midair into a massive golden sword, slicing down with unmatched sharpness. It plunged straight into the abyss below.

The surging abyssal energy that had just started to flow from the cracks recoiled instantly under the sword's glow, momentarily emptying the passage.

Zhang Huanyun did not delay. He knew Cao Dezhi was right. If they didn't act now to reinforce the seal, it would shatter completely—and that would be a nightmare.

He raised his arms. Nine beams of golden light shot from his palms, embedding into the surrounding cave walls at the mouth of the passage.

The lights solidified into nine shield-shaped emblems, each bearing a unique symbol—representing the nine ancient powerhouses who had sealed the abyssal channel thousands of years ago.

Now, after millennia, the sealing tokens had reawakened.

As the tokens sank into the rock, golden runes spread from each one like veins of light, quickly extending deep into the passage. Though explosions still echoed below, the entire passage began to stabilize.

Nine circular platforms slowly emerged from the mountainside.

Blood One took the lead, appearing atop the platform directly at the twelve o'clock position and sitting cross-legged.

The other eight Blood Gods took their places on the remaining platforms. They too sat and prepared for the grand array.

But the platform marked Blood Nine remained empty—for now, it did not belong to Gu You.

Gu You understood immediately: Blood One was entrusting him with a critical mission—he had to hold the line until the array fully activated!

"With my blood as the guide!" Blood One's voice boomed. A thick mist of blood exploded from his pores, enveloping his body and spilling across the platform...
