Chapter 17 - Commercial City Einzheil: A Day Off Today

It's been two weeks since Aina and Sorte became slaves.

In that time, I've sent them out a few times on gathering requests for medicinal herb and iron ore. And sure enough, the two of them are really skilled. They came back quickly each time—and with more than I asked for.

The medicinal herb I left with the Adventurers' Guild master was in such high quantity that I've basically been making (Small) Healing Potions nonstop lately.

Thanks to that, I'm now able to make (Medium) Healing Potions too, and my Alchemy level has risen to 6.

Maybe at level 8 I'll be able to make (Large) Healing Potions as well. Still, the Pharma Guild already supplies those to the Adventurers' Guild, so I have no intention of competing with them.

Honestly, I just want to avoid stirring up any more trouble like before.

I can still profit just by selling lower than Medium grade potions even if they're cheaper, so there's no need to rock the boat.

While appraising the unfamiliar items Aina and the others brought back, my Appraisal skill quietly leveled up too.

Spatial Magic hasn't leveled yet, but I use it often enough, so it'll go up eventually.

Oh, right—turns out the medicinal herb they bring in doesn't reduce their debt.

Apparently, as long as I use it to make potions and sell them cheaply to the Adventurers' Guild, all is good.

Back then I was thrilled about the free materials and the alchemy EXP boost, but… there's just so much of it.

-0-

That reminds me, I discovered a very handy use for Spatial Magic.

If I place medicinal herb, magically infused liquid, and empty potion bottles into a single domain and cast Alchemy, it'll make multiple potions at once.

The quality depends on how much MP I use, so after some trial and error, I learned how to produce the Small, Minor, and Inferior variants on command.

When it comes to potions, I don't even need the alchemy room anymore.

Still, I believe a good atmosphere matters, so when I'm making ingots or feel like doing it the proper way, I still use the facilities. I'll probably keep renting the space regardless.

And guess what—my Pocket Money skill leveled up!

On the 15th try, instead of a shiny silver coin falling from the sky, a gleaming gold coin dropped.

That's right—at Level 2, the payout jumps to one gold coin worth 100,000 Nohl.

A daily allowance of 100k Nohl.

I don't know who's footing the bill here, but hey—whoever you are, you're way too generous!

-0-

But that's when I realized something.

What was supposed to be a lazy isekai lifestyle has quietly transformed into a full-blown alchemy life.

So today, I'm taking a break from alchemy and setting out to properly enjoy this town, Einzheil.

So far, I've only visited the plaza stalls, the armor shop, the slave market, and the Adventurers' Guild.

Hayato did call this a commercial city—there's gotta be plenty of other fun spots I haven't seen yet.

I've been working seriously up until today—stocked the Adventurers' Guild with a solid supply of healing potions, and my savings have reached a smooth-sailing 4 million Nohl.

Technically, I should keep grinding alchemy and saving up for what lies ahead, but if I keep this up, my life is going to become full-on alchemy mode.

Not that I mind, honestly—alchemy is fun, and the profits are nice.

But if that's all I'm going to do, then why did I even pick "Pocket Money" as my unique skill in the first place?

And sure, I have my promise to Hayato, but still—leveling alchemy to 6 in just over two weeks?

That's a lot of effort for me, okay?

People who say, "If you say you worked hard, you didn't really work hard", need to get thrown with a German suplex and launched into the next continent!

That's why I'm going! As a reward for all my hard work!

I'm going to soak up the delights and entertainment of this town—eat like a king, wander around with blood-pumping excitement—my pleasure-filled city adventure begins now!

『Anyway, I'm off today. I'm gonna go wreak joyful havoc and enjoy this town to the fullest, so—no requests today!』

I left a note in the alchemy lab I've basically been freeloading off, then got myself ready.

My suit's a little wrinkled by now, but it's the best outfit I've got.

I've stashed money and potions in my magic pouch, and loaded some more into my spatial storage.

It's still early morning, but I heard the food stalls are already starting to prep.

Might not be a bad idea to scout around before they fully open. Could also use this time to plan out my day.

If I can find a map or something, that'd help too—I'll ask around.

「...I'm off~」

I gave a small, quiet farewell to the empty reception and alchemy room, and stepped out of the Alchemists' Guild.

-0-

Today is my official day off. Time to play my heart out!

Outside, the sun's still low and the streets are relatively empty.

A little chilly, but it'll warm up soon.

For now, I'll head to the central plaza and chill on a bench.

For breakfast… should I go with that beef skewer sandwich I had before?

Or maybe try something new?

Might as well treat myself and experiment.

Would be great if there's some souvenir sweets I could buy too.

And I need to check out the general store!

If there's anything interesting or uniquely isekaish, I'm grabbing it.

Something handy for daily life would be perfect.

Weapons? Armor? Nah. Don't need those. Not even a little.

Even if I had them, I wouldn't know how to use them.

But clothes, now that I need.

Aside from the robe Reinrich gave me and this outfit, I've got nothing. And honestly… they're starting to smell.

I wonder if they sell underwear?

If possible, I'd prefer trunks or boxer, but I can't be picky.

Just… please, anything but briefs.

-0-

Man, I've got a packed day ahead!

I heard shopping is therapeutic, especially for women, so today I'm gonna blow off some steam and not worry too much about spending.

「Oh? Might that be our honored customer I see over there?」

As I sat on a bench in the central plaza, a familiar voice called out to me. I looked up and saw that ever-cheerful face—it was Yasis, offering a warm greeting.

「Yasis. Good morning.」

「Indeed. A very good morning to you. Out for a stroll this early, are we?」

「Yeah, pretty much. I mean, I haven't done anything fun since I got to this world, you know? I barely know anything about this city either, and lately, it's just been non-stop potion-making. I figured it was time for a stress relief day.」

「Ahh, yes, yes. Quite understandable. This is a commercial city, after all. There are many fascinating wares to enjoy even without traveling to other cities. It truly would be a shame not to indulge.」

「Right? I just wanna chill out, take it slow for once. But I still need money, so I've had to keep busy. Still, I think it's okay to have a break now and then, right?」

「Indeed, I'd say it is most appropriate. By the way, are you out on your own today?」

「Yup, just me. I mean, it's way too early to bother someone for a guide. Oh, actually—does this city have maps or a tourist office or something?」

「Hmm, I see. Yes, certainly. If you head to the Merchants' Guild, you can purchase a map of the city. There are two types available: one that marks out major landmarks and another with just divided sectors so you can fill in the details yourself as you explore. The latter is cheaper and allows you to create your own original map.」

「Ooh, the Merchants' Guild, huh? I'll check it out after breakfast. Thanks!」

「You haven't had breakfast yet? Then may I recommend the Kebanya from that stall over there. It's a delightful breakfast item—seasoned beef grilled with loads of spices and stuffed between a bread base along with vegetables. Quite affordable at 1,200 Nohl, especially given the quality of the ingredients.」

Hearing the description while looking at the stall only made it sound even tastier.

Still, the name Kebanya… that's gotta be a kebab, right?

Well, I plan on eating at every food stall eventually, so why not start with this one?

「Thanks for everything. Want me to treat you? I'd be happy to share.」

「I appreciate the offer, but I must return and make preparations immediately. Perhaps I can join you next time.」

Preparations? Sounds like he's headed somewhere.

He does seem like the busy, capable type.

「Got it. Next time, then. And don't hold back when you do join me.」

「Of course. I may not look it, but I can eat quite a bit. I'll be indulging without reservation.」

Without reservation, huh?

Somehow, when Yasis says that, it's kind of scary…

But still, a shared meal offered in gratitude should be accepted openly. I figured it'd be more satisfying if he ate his fill.

「Well then, I shall take my leave. Until later.」

「Later? Wait, what do you mean by—oh…」

With a sharp, practiced bow—exactly forty-five degrees—Yasis turned on his heel and vanished back to his shop in no time, leaving me blinking in his wake. Snapping out of my daze, I noticed that the stall he'd recommended had just finished setting up, so I stood and made my way over to place my order.

Back at the bench, I unwrapped the Kebanya I'd bought and set out the canteen I'd purchased alongside it. The wooden flask had been filled with a drink for me as well. Altogether, it came to 4,000 Nohl. The flask and drink were 2,800 of that, but considering the quality of the flask, I figured it was a solid deal. More importantly, I'd be able to reuse it.

The vendor had said the drink inside was a sweet fruit wine. Morning alcohol might be a luxury, but hey—it's good, so I'm not complaining.

The star of the show, the Kebanya, was indeed similar to a kebab. But instead of the usual flatbread, it was wrapped in a crisp, golden-brown bread shell. Inside, layers of juicy meat and fresh vegetables were packed in alternating rows, all drizzled with a special sauce.

One bite—and wow. The outer crust had a satisfying crispness without being too hard or too soft. Beneath it, the softer inner layer gave way to the crunchy veggies and succulent meat, the textures playing off each other perfectly.

The sauce didn't overwhelm—it let the flavors of the meat and spices do the talking, just rounding everything out in harmony. It was understated, but all the better for it.

I wish I had better vocabulary to describe it, but in short: it was damn good.

The beef skewer sandwich I came up with the other day had its own appeal, letting each ingredient's natural flavor shine. But this Kebanya took it a step further—it had refinement, that little extra touch.

As expected from a proper vendor… Come to think of it, I do have some cooking skills myself. Might be fun to open a stall one day.

…Wait, am I seriously thinking about adding another job?

「Pardon me. You have a bit of sauce on your mouth.」

「Ah, thank yo—huh?」

Just as I heard the voice, a woman sat down on the open space beside me and gently dabbed at my mouth with a handkerchief. I nearly dropped the Kebanya in shock.

「Ano, was that inappropriate of me?」

「N-No! I mean, huh? Why? I-I don't mind at all!」

Seated next to me was Wendy, dressed in an understated lavender-colored dress cinched with a wide belt. A cute floral hairpin added a single accent to her appearance.

「I was given the honor of guiding you today, by Yasis-sama. I hope this won't be an inconvenience…?」

「No no no, not at all! But wait—don't you have duties at the trade hall or something?」

「There are no scheduled visitors today, so I won't be needed at the front. And since this is a direct order from Yasis-sama, attending to you takes priority. He said I should ensure you're thoroughly relaxed and healed from your fatigue.」

「Healed, huh…」

Naturally, my gaze wandered—unlike the mild, supportive sauce earlier, there was nothing subtle about the twin peaks before me, absolutely commanding attention.

Seriously, what the hell. How could I not look? That kind of volume just isn't fair.

「Yes. Please allow yourself to be fully healed.」

With those words, Wendy-san gently took my hand and brought it close to her chest.

The faint sensation I felt was a blissful mix of soft, smooth, and fluffy warmth.

Yasisssssssss!

No, I get it. It's just part of the service, right? And yeah, I'm happy about it.

But still, you could've given me a heads-up! Also, thank you!

I might not even care how much my next meal costs anymore.

I took big gulps of the fruit wine, trying to cover up how nervous I was.

Honestly, it was sweet and tasty, not too strong, but I could barely taste anything at all.

「For today, please treat me as your devoted slave. Use me however you like, Master.」

Gwaaaahhh!

This is too much. The impact is unreal.

I was flustered when Aina-san did something similar, but this feels different.

It's not just realistic. It's real.

「Suu… haa… suu… haa…」

「Are you all right? Master?」

「Guhahh!!」

It's too destructive.

I mean, she's the most beautiful woman I've seen, with a large chest, a slim waist, and a shapely, toned bottom. Even her legs radiate sensual energy. And she just called me Master?

It's not like I'm paying for a roleplay. This is a different world. This is a real master-and-slave relationship here.

This isn't stress. It's not stress at all, but my stomach feels like it's turning upside down.

「Are you okay? Would you like to lie down? I can offer you my lap, if that would help.」

「N-no! I'm good! If I do that, I might not be able to move for the rest of the day, so I'm good!」

That's dangerous. Temptation like that is way too risky.

There's already a lot I have to do today.

But still… I'm struggling so hard right now… even in public!

Resist the temptation! Today is already an amazing day, but if this keeps up, I'll be going out with Wendy-san! Hell yeah!

「Would my lap not be satisfying enough?」

That's not ittttt!

It would be more than enough!

But not today! Please don't make that sad face!

Even if it's just acting, it hurts too much! My chest feels tight!

I want to just speak my mind.

If possible, I want to act on these feelings…

「W-well, I need to buy clothes and tools and other stuff today, so… if there's ever a chance, I'd love to take you up on that.」

「Yes. I'll be looking forward to that day.」

Haah… she's such a good girl.

She's really such a good girl.

Seriously, the beautiful women in this world are all so kind.

Long live isekai! Long live isekai!

Ahh… but she must be expensive… if only I had more gold coins on hand…

But with her looks and attentiveness, she'll definitely be in high demand.

Still, just for today, she's my devoted slave.

So I might as well enjoy it. It'd be rude to both Yasis who arranged this, and to Wendy-san who came early this morning.

「Ah… did you have breakfast? Or were you maybe still asleep?」

「Was there something strange about me?」

Wendy began checking her hair and clothes, clearly a bit concerned.

「No, it's not that. It's still early, so I just thought maybe you were still sleeping.」

「I'm fine.」

「Ah, so you were asleep. You don't have to push yourself.」

「I'm fine.」

「Uh…」

「I said I'm fine, so please don't worry about me, Master.」

She's stubborn. Yasis really trained her thoroughly.

「Sigh. All right. Then let's have some breakfast.」

「No, please don't worry about me…」

「It's fine, it's fine. It's just from a street stall, but get whatever you like.」

「Then I'll have the same as Master…」

「This? Okay, I'll go buy it, so wait here a sec.」

「No! I'll go and buy it. Please take it easy, Master.」

「Really? Then here, take the money. Oh, and can you get more fruit wine in the canteen too?」

「Yes. Understood. I'll go now, so please wait right here.」

「Of course I will…」

「Then I'll be right back.」

With that, she glanced back at me a few times as she trotted over to the stall.

Ah, careful. She's wearing shoes like heeled sandals. Twisting an ankle would be bad.

I thought Wendy-san was the competent type, but she has a lot of cute sides too.

Wait—maybe being both competent and cute is part of her charm.

Just as I finished off the remaining kebanya, Wendy-san returned.

「I'm back. Here's the canteen and… ah! You already finished eating?」

「Uh, welcome back? Yeah, I ate it…」

Wait, was that a bad move? Did she want to eat together?

「A devoted slave is meant to partake of her master's leftovers. I was planning to eat what master left behind… I can't eat something freshly bought. Could you please take a bite from this one first?」

「Uh… seriously?」

What kind of system is that? Hot food's just gonna get cold.

And leftovers… seriously…?

She quickly offered me the kebanya.

Wendy-san's lips opened slightly as if saying "ahh", clearly in a feeding pose.

「Here you go, aaahn.」

I actually said it out loud.

Seeing it for real is unbelievably embarrassing.

The crowd's started to grow, but… I'm doing it.

「A-ahh」

「Yes. Ufufu. This is kind of fun, isn't it?」

Munch munch. Oh, is it?

Actually, I'm enjoying seeing her cheeks turn a little red too.

And this kebanya tastes better than before.

Is it because of the aaahn?

Or did the vendor go the extra mile because Wendy's a beauty?

I'm betting it's the first one.

「Thank you, Master. Now, I'll eat as well.」

Wendy took a small bite of the kebanya.

She didn't have to go out of her way to eat from the exact spot I bit, though…

「U-um… it's a little embarrassing」

「Oh, sorry. Take your time and eat」

Did I stare too much?

Gazing at someone while they eat is rude.

I looked away and took a sip of fruit wine.

This time I drank it calmly, and realized its sweetness and mild alcohol paired perfectly with the kebanya.

Though her mouth was small, Wendy tried to eat quickly.

When I offered the canteen out of concern, she bowed her head properly before accepting it.

「Thank you, Master. I'll try to eat quickly, so please don't leave me behind, okay?」

「I'll wait, don't worry. Just eat slowly」

「Yes. Thank you very much」

She really gives off a different impression now.

When I first saw her, she seemed like a capable, graceful, and calm woman with a sharp presence.

But now I see she has a lot of cute sides too.

She's earnest, a bit childish even.

And that anxious look like she's worried I'll leave her—it's unexpectedly adorable.

「Um, thank you for waiting!」

She should've just taken her time.

She must've rushed, because now she looks a little out of breath.

「You can drink all the fruit wine in the canteen」

「Th-thank you」

Is she trying to hold back a hiccup?

That tends to happen when you eat in a rush.

Her face turned bright red as she gulped down the wine.

The sight was strangely erotic, and I burned the image into my mental folder for safekeeping.

That was a treat.
